Ultra Boy is a fixed shooter action arcade game. The objective of the game is to defend your world from incoming aliens by shooting them down with their own missiles and bombs shot back up at them to reach the next level when all enemies are defeated on screen while gaining high scores. This can be a challenging task, but it can offer some fun. Several enemy types are introduced in later levels that act a bit differently and take different amounts of damage before blowing up, while a few powerups are introduced in later levels: shields that will protect from the enemies, bombs and missiles, a health boost, and dynamite that can destroy all enemies on the screen.
Fixed shooters restrict the player and enemies to a single screen as in this game, and the player primarily moves along a single axis, such as back and forth along the bottom of the screen (although in level 3 there is a step at the bottom of the screen toward the right side you need to jump up to adding further challenge). Typical well regarded examples from the arcade include Space Invaders (1978), Galaxian (1979), Centipede (1980), and Galaga (1981). In Pooyan (1982), the fixed axis of movement is vertical, along the right side of the screen.
Controls are WASD for movement, W to jump, and using the mouse to move the crosshair around missile command style, with the mouse button for your actions. It would be nice if you could use arrow keys instead of WASD without requiring a 3rd party keyboard remapper. The game plays a bit different than usual actually so not a clone of those others. Instead of having a fixed vertical gun attached, you move your player under the physical location you wish to shoot up vertically from, and separately can move your crosshair underneath bombs and missiles anywhere else on the screen high or low. This creates a blue wormhole when you press/hold the mouse button that they fall into and releases them from the wormhole over your character shooting back up at the enemies. So there is a bit of challenge that requires coordination. Practice first just moving the crosshair under missiles and bombs around the screen without moving until you get how it works, before trying to move around to better target enemies that is needed...because did I mention some come down at you?
I might add the enemies that come down shouldnt go horizontally on the bottom as much more like galaxian/galaga, and maybe that when you catch missiles or bombs they will not shoot until you release the button allowing more precision in where you release them vertically. There could be a bit more added levels right at the beginning with just 2-3 enemies to get used to the controls and targeting them. I might also experiment with allowing multiple placements of wormholes under missiles/bombs similar to missile command at a time which would help with later levels. Maybe the dynamite could be mapped to the second mouse button and used when you want (but very limited). Possibly a good arcade game for people of all ages although can be very challenging, but for those that enjoy that type of challenge it will provide a bit of fun on many short breaks and worth a look.

The gameplay of this game may be confusing so I will try my best to explain this in simple terms. You will notice that there are bombs and rockets that are dropped out of the sky along the UFOs that are flying in the sky.
What's not mentioned in the instructions on the screen is that you have to use the left mouse button to click on them in order to "Catch" them and send them back up on the screen to defeat the UFO's
This is an endless type of game as long as you don't get hit by the projectiles.
Game appears to be part of a competition where games were created very quickly and judged based on gameplay and design ETC.
