Ultimate Puzzles Nature 3 is another of Unidens really simple jigsaws with a 4x4 grid. The previous version 2 was a giveaway May 7th and th4 first in the series on the 1st February last year HERE and HERE respectively; plus, we've received several other jigsaw puzzles from Uniden (as well as a couple of other developers) over the last year e.g. Ultimate Puzzles Christmas, Ultimate Puzzles Cats 1, 2 & 3, Dogs 1, 2 & 3, Marine Life 1 & 2, Animals 4, 5 & 7, Cars Collection, Puzzles Collection, United Kingdom, USA, France & Italy etc. as well as a Tetris clone All have similar mechanics and are 4x 4 grid puzzles with square pieces.

Introduction:
Ultimate Puzzles Nature 3 is a brand new puzzle game about nature. You are going to create various landscapes and regions. Each puzzle is 4x4 in size, but this is complicated by the fact that the puzzles must be rotated in the right direction.

The Game:
Each of the seven puzzles are made up of 16 square elements. which are placed on a 4 x 4 grid i.e. 16 pieces. Most of the elements are not oriented correctly, so you have to change their orientation by clicking on the element with the left mouse button. Each click turns the element clockwise 90 degrees; unfortunately you can't turn them anti clockwise. To place a element on the board, following it's correct orientation, keep the left mouse button hovering over the element and keep the left mouse button depressed until you've placed the piece to what you think is the correct grid square. If it is correct it will lock in place; if it's the wrong place or you've not got the correct orientation it will move to a random place on the periphery of the jigsaws grid.

The addition of rotating the pieces and also placing them in different places each time you attempt to complete the puzzle adds to the difficulty slightly. Also, some pieces will overlap at the start of each attempt and in some cases totally obscure one or more pieces. You can restart any of the puzzles at any time by clicking on the back arrow. Each puzzle is timed, but no scores are recorded when you've completed the puzzle. Once completed you can either try again or return to the main page where you can then select another image to solve.

The puzzles include gorgeous images of natural landscapes, often with spectacular skies.

Conclusion:
All the puzzles are relatively simple. An adult could easily complete the whole game in around 15 to 20 minutes at the very least. Personally, (as mentioned several times) I think the developer's asking price over on Itch.io, of $5 per puzzle game is well over-priced considering there are only seven puzzle images to solve and each puzzle is only a small 4 x 4 grid with 16 square pieces. If all of the series were to be combined, it would seem a fairer price. That said, there are 'free' jigsaw programs available online that in my opinion are far better than today's jigsaw puzzle; (okay it's free today). One of the first jigsaw puzzles we were given here way back in 2007 called The Infinate Jigsaw Puzzle not only had the ability to select the number of pieces from around 20 to over a thosand, you could select from several jigsaw shapes and add as many images of your own as you wished. I'm still playing that game occassionally and has kept me entertained every time I boot it up.

Notes on Security
I scanned a zipped copy of the installed game using Virus Total and it found zero hits from 60 antimalware engines.

The downloaded executable 'may' include some low level adware that only opens your browser once to Falcoware's home page after the game has installed and also places four shortcuts onto your desktop (which can be safely deleted once the game has installed).

The installation does NOT inject any malware into your system. When your browser is opened to Falcoware's home page following the games installation, it earns Falcoware games some money, part of which is given to the developer of the game for allowing the game to be given away free. Once you've installed the game, there are no more browser redirections. This is because Falcoware removed their installer over a year ago (that installer would show an advert for a game and then open your browser each time you played and then closed the game down.)

The best Indie Bundles sites that have been operating from around 2011 are the Humble Bundle and Indie Gala sites (though the latter isn't as good as it used to be) where you'll sometimes find decent bundles with over 90% off the usual price of the games included in the bundles. The Humble site is in my opinion the best; though a more recent addition that is worth checking out called Fanatical games looks to be a serious contender for that title as they have some very good bundles. I've restarted a project I originally started back in 2008 that used to be called Good Games to Grab, where I posted free games over in the forums on a daily basis. Black And White Apocalypse that was given away some weeks ago by the developer hammergames is always free and can also be downloaded as a colour version. The community member Space pointed this out at the time. You can find both versions over on itch.io via the following links. Black & White version, and Coloured version. :)

You can also find 'all nine' of the developers games (for free) HERE. Some of them look like they are worth investigating. :)
