In Brief:
Uniden has given us several other jigsaw puzzles over the last year e.g. Ultimate Puzzles Nature 1,2 & 3, Ultimate Puzzles Christmas, Ultimate Puzzles Cats 1, 2 & 3, Dogs 1, 2 & 3, Marine Life 1 & 2, Animals 4, 5 & 7, Cars Collection, Puzzles Collection, United Kingdom, USA, France & Italy etc. as well as a Tetris clone All have similar mechanics and are 4x 4 grid puzzles with square pieces. We've also received jigsaw and swap tile puzzles from two other developers.
You can see a video of game play HERE.

Introduction:
Ultimate Puzzles Food is a brand new puzzle game about food. Each puzzle is 4x4 in size, but the complication is that the puzzles need to be rotated in the right direction.

Reference accessed HERE 30th March 2022.
The Game:
Each of the seven puzzles are made up of 16 square elements. which are placed on a 4 x 4 grid i.e. 16 pieces. Most of the elements are not oriented correctly, so you have to change their orientation by clicking on the element with the left mouse button. Each click turns the element clockwise 90 degrees; unfortunately you can't turn them anti clockwise. To place a element on the board, following it's correct orientation, keep the left mouse button hovering over the element and keep the left mouse button depressed until you've placed the piece. If it is correct it will lock in place; if it's the wrong place or you've not got the correct orientation it will move to a random place on the periphery of the jigsaws grid.

The addition of rotating the pieces and also placing them in different places each time you attempt to complete the puzzle adds to the difficulty slightly. Also, some pieces will overlap at the start of each attempt and in some cases totally obscure one or more pieces. You can restart any of the puzzles at any time by clicking on the back arrow. Each puzzle is timed, but no scores are recorded when you've completed the puzzle. Once completed you can either try again or return to the main page where you can then select another image to solve.

No doubt the mouth watering image that you see in this puzzle will have forced many of the community to seek some food while completing these; for me it was the Black Forest Gateaux, (Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte) The best I ever had was while serving in the army when we were doing a two week manouver in the Schwarzwald . ;)
Conclusion:
Although each jigsaw puzzle is relatively short and there are only 7 puzzles to complete, this would make an ideal puzzle for the younger child. It shouldn't take an adult more than 15 to 20 minutes to solve the whole lot; making it an ideal coffee break puzzle, though in my opinion it's not worth the $5 asking price. As I'm mentioned previously all of the various Uniden puzzles should be combined, then it would be worth the $5. That said as we are getting this free today, the suggestion is moot.

The very first jigsaw puzzle we were given back in February 2008 was called The Infinite Jigsaw puzzle, which had an amazing amount of configurability, such as the ability to change the shape of the puzzle pieces, change the size of the puzzle from a 24 to a 1024 piece puzzle (You'd need a very large monitor of at least 30'' to be able to solve the larger puzzles as well as the ability to upload any image you had. You can see that giveaway HERE.
At the time of the giveaway a couple of the community suggested other free jigsaw puzzles that are still available and that also have the ability to upload your own images and select different shapes and sizes e.g. Astra Gift Maker HERE, and from the same site, BigJig HERE and Lena Games for a selection of other jigsaws HERE. You can also do a free daily jigsaw curtesy of Shockwave HERE
There's also commercial versions that are very configurable for example Jigsaws Galore HERE and BrainsBreaker HERE. you'll almost certainly be able to find lots more free and commercial jigsaws just by Googling. :)

If you are stuck for images to upload to the above free jigsaw games (which I doubt), there are a plethora of sites that offer free images; one of my favorites that I've visited often is called Digital Blasphemy, where you can download free versions of commercial images that are ideal for the above free and commercial jigsaw puzzles. You can find Digital Blasphemy HERE..

Notes on Security

I scanned a zipped copy of the installed game using Virus Total and it found zero hits from 57 antimalware engines.

The downloaded executable 'may' include some low level adware that only opens your browser once to Falcoware's home page after the game has installed and also places four shortcuts onto your desktop (which can be safely deleted once the game has installed).

The installation does NOT inject any malware into your system. When your browser is opened to Falcoware's home page following the games installation, it earns Falcoware games some money, part of which is given to the developer of the game for allowing the game to be given away for free. Once you've installed the game, there are no more browser redirections. This is because Falcoware removed their installer almost two years ago (that installer would show an advert for a game while the game was loading (whivch always took aboiut 20 seconds to ensure you'd seen the advert) . It would also always open your browser each time you closed the game after playing it.)
If you're still not convinced of the games efficacy and want to be absolutely sure that the game is safe to install, please use a sandbox program first, to check that the game is safe to install before installing it to your C drive or other drives on your computer (assuming you have more than one drive).

There are free sandbox programs such as Sanboxie, GeSWall, BitBox, Windows Sandbox, Bufferzone (a six month commercial license was given away via the applications side of the project back in December 2009 HERE), Shadowzone, as well as others. (You'll find them all on the same page from Techwhoop.
You can see the results of the installed games scan via the following link:

Whiterabbit-uk,

Free or Discounted Games:
Please check Delenn's threads over in the giveaway forums HERE (non-Steam games) and HERE (Steam games) for the latest freebies. It's kept up to date frequently, (thanks for keeping this up to date Delenn, very much appreciated).

Steam Games:
For the latest Steam sales check THIS Steam database site out. You can list the games in 'price' & 'percentage off' order by clicking the headers. If you link SteamDB (the Steam database) with your Steam account, all games that you already have will be highlighted in green and those in blue are on your wish list. When there are Steam games being given away, you'll see the percentage off as 100%. It's worth checking this regularly to make sure you don't miss the best deals and freebies. There is an early access game presently free on Steam called KEO (usually £9.99).

Delenn usually posts links to all free games within several hours of them going live, so check her links in the first paragraph above.

If you have a Steam account and like to collect soon to be removed games, there are at least three that I know of (thanks to Delenn) that are being removed soon by the developer FarSky Interactive sometime in April i.e.

1) ... Far Sky
2) ... The free Ones.
3) ... Sky Break

Knockout Checkers Chamber and Gods Remastered have now been removed from Steam. I don't know of any other outlet that sells either of the games, but, if you still wanted them, you may be able to find keys on the various Steam key sites, but there's no guarantee.

If you've purchased any game that is later removed from the Steam store, you will still always be able to access it via your Steam library despite it no longer being available via Steam.
Indie Gala:
Don't forget to check Indie Gala's freebie section HERE, then click on the Showcase header, selecting freebies from the drop down menu; the most recent additions include:
1) ... Vroom Racing (Drive a Formula 1 car upon 18 worldwide tracks : Reach 380 Km/h and beat the ghost !)

2) ... Out of Puberty: Chapter 1 (graphic novel, contains adult themes and NOT suitable for children.)

3) ... Project Restart (NEW ... An anime visual novel)

4) ... Spring Bonus (NEW ... Match Three)

5) ... Unhack (The 5K Worm is on a rampage across cyberspace. As the top unhacker in Smash Security, it is your mission to bring an end to this virus. Join forces with AI companion Weedy and become an unstoppable duo!)

6) ... Pixel Puzzles 2: Anime ( Jigsaw Puzzle)

7) ... Cursed Sight (NEW ... Anime visual novel with branching narratives)

Check the freebie section for the latest additions; if you've not visited for a while, also check the Showcase section for older freebies. All or most new freebies should be on the first page of the Showcase pages. We have been given over 340 games since I started to check the freebie section in 2018. But around 60% of those are no longer available free. The following recent freebies have now been removed from the free library: Little Kite, Last Dream, Trainpunk Run, Pixel Puzzles 2: Paintings, Hamsterdam, Copperbell, Chainsaw Warrior, Leisure Suit Larry 2 Looking For Love (In Several Wrong Places), Leisure Suit Larry 1 - In the Land of the Lounge Lizards , Figment, Pixel Puzzles 2: Space, Revolution Ace, Six Sides of the World, Byte Family, Alone on Mars, Garfield Kart, Nostradamus the Last Prophecy, Snowball, Pixel Puzzles 2: Christmas , Die Young (Full version), Distortions, Dino Run DX, Cheap Golf, Kill Em All, Dead Hungry Diner, and Contract with the Devil.

Any game you claim while it's being offered is DRM free and will remain in your Indie Gala library permanently (unless Indie Gala goes bust) and can be downloaded at any time, under the showcase or freebie section; 115 games are still available. Not all games that go into the showcase remain free and are removed after a short period; e.g. the recent adventure puzzler Figment that costs almost £15 on Steam; so, you should grab them as quickly as you can. To find your games go to your account and from the drop down menu select 'My Library'. When the page opens find the 'Showcase' button in the banner along the top of the page and, from the drop down menu select 'Showcase'. There are only 8 games per page, so, if like me you have added hundreds to your account/library. Each page from your free list can take 30 or more seconds to move to the next page so it can take a good twenty minutes to get to the last page depending on how many of the free games you've claimed.
CD Keys:
Another decent site that you should check out regularly is CD Key HERE. They have some very good discounts on top notch AAA games for all the popular platforms (PC, PSN, Xbox, Nintendo), sometimes as much as 99% off. for example Madden NFL 22 is only £0.39 (usually £49.99), Grand Theft Auto V Premium Ed' 84% off (£7.99), Sims 4 85% off (£5.99), Star Wars The Force Unleashed Ultimate Sith Edition £1.79 , Dying Light Platinum Edition 92% off (£5.29 - includes 22 of the paid for 26 DLC's, with a further 11 free DLC's available.), Assetto Corsa 83% off (£3.99), Borderlands 2 GOTY Edition 91% off (£2.99), Civilization VI Platinum Edition 91% off (£8.99), Cities Skyline 90% off (£3.09), Hitman GOTY Ed' 92% off (£3.99), Sniper Elite 4 83% off (£6.99), Stellaris 99% off (£0.19), The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series 86% off (£5.49), Battlefield V 85% off (£7.39), Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 89% off (£0.79), Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II : The Sith Lords 89% off (£0.79), Planet Coaster 83% off (£4.99), Injustice 2 92% off (£3.99), Kerbal Space Program 85% off (£4.49) this is included in the Stand with Ukraine bundle, Fallout 3 GOTY Ed' 80% off (£2.99), Fallout 4 91% off (£3.49), Tekken 7 90% off (£3.99), Garfield Kart: Furious Racing 92% off (£1.09), Dawn of War Franchise Pack 97% off (£3.19 usually £99), Assassins Creed: Unity 91% off (£3.49), Naruto to Boruto Shinobi Striker 95% off (£1.99), Ace Combat 7 Skies Unknown Deluxe Edition 86% off (£9.99), Outlast 2 90% off (£2.39), The Escapists 2 85% off (£2.99), Battlefield 1 Revolution 87% off (£7.99), Sniper 2: Ghost Warrior 2 89% off (£0.79), Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 Season Pass Edition 96% off (£1.49), Elite Dangerous 84% off (£3.99), Killing Floor 2 89% off (£2.29), Lego: The Incredibles 93% off (£2.49), Lego: DC Super Villains 93% off (£2.49), Resident Evil Biohazard 90% off (£4.99), Resident Evil HD Remaster 87% off (£3.19), Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 91% off (£4.99), The Evil Within 92% (£2.49), Metro Exodus Gold Edition 83% off (£9.99), Shadow warrior 2 90% off (£3.59), Warhammer 40 000 Space Marine - Anniversary Ed' 93% off (£2.99) plus many more amazing deals.

Be sure to check that keys from CD Keys are redeemable in whichever country you live in (it details where it can be redeemed) as prices and the ability to redeem keys in particular countries may differ. I've quoted prices from the UK pages of CD keys. I recently got an Origin key for Star Wars: Squadrons for 99% off, costing me £0.34; it usually retails for £34.99, I also got 32% off a pre order copy of Dying Light 2 a couple of weeks before it was released in February, saving around £20 off the release price.
Epic Games:
The latest Epic Game is called DEMON'S TILT ends tomorrow afternoon (31st March); it's a top down pinball game with SHMUP & Hack N' Slash elements (it's excellent take on Pinball well worth getting, even if pinball isn't one of your favourite game genres. ).

From tomorrow afternoon 31th March we will be given City of Brass - a first-person action adventure from senior BioShock developers. Armed with scimitar and a versatile whip, you’ll lash and slash, bait and trap your way to the heart of an opulent, Arabian Nights-themed metropolis – or face certain death as time runs out and even better Total War: WARHAMMER - The critically-acclaimed Total War: WARHAMMER combines a turn-based campaign of epic empire-building with colossal and explosive real-time battles, set within the incredible world of Warhammer Fantasy Battles; (it's not my favourite Total War title, but still excellent game play)
Indie Bundles:
The best Indie Bundles sites that have been operating from around 2010 are the Humble Bundle and Indie Gala sites (though the latter isn't as good as it used to be, with most of the bundles containing cheap stocking fillers and a lot of 'adult only 'hentai like ' games). The Humble site is, in my opinion, the best; though a more recent addition that is worth checking out called Fanatical games, that used to be called Bundle Stars, looks to be a serious contender for that title as they have some very good bundles. Presently Fanatical hosts fifteen bundles:

Mystery Bounty Bundle
Build your own Ultimate VR Bundle 2
Build your own Slayer Bundle 5
Build your own Anime Bundle 4
Killer Bundle 21 Redux
Build your own Backstage Bundle 2
Diamond Collection: Build your own Bundle
Build your own Nitro Bundle 2
Platinum Collection: Build your own Bundle March (ends soon)
Indie Must Play Bundle
Build your own Spring Bundle
Guardian Bundle 6
Build your own All Stars 4 Bundle
RPG Maker Bundle
Journey Bundle
Build your own Puzzle Bundle
Grey Alien Games Bundle
Kings & Queens Bundle

You can find the Fanatical bundles page HERE.
The latest Humble Choice bundle went live Tue 1st March; it includes seven Steam games and one Origin game. Desperados III, Mass Effect Legendary Edition (Origin), Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan, Red Solstice 2: Survivors, Nebuchadnezzar, Police Stories and Evan's Remains. Subscriptions to the Choice bundle have recently been changed, levelling the ground for all subscribers. The monthly cost is a meagre $12/£8.99 with other benefits such as access to a lot of indie titles for free while subscribed and a percentage off other purchases from the Humble store. This discount increases the longer you stay subscribed up to a year with 20% off all none bundle purchases. (1 month sub' gives 10% off, 3 months sub' gives 15% off and six months sub 'gives 17% off). The next Humble Choice bundle goes live Tuesday 5th April 22 next week.

The latest Humble Bundles include the following:

!) ... Europa Universalis IV: The Complete Collection Contains the base game plus 32 DLC's for £15.20 usually costs £390.89 (ends 13th April)

2) ... The Ultimate Racing Sim Bundle that includes Assetto Corsa Competizione, DRIFT 21, Automobilista 2, iRacing (3-month Subscription New Memberships Only), Assetto Corsa Ultimate Edition, rFactor 2, NASCAR Heat 5 Ultimate Edition, Automobilista; plus, discount coupons for a couple of steering wheel controllers i.e. Thrustmaster T248 and Thrustmaster T150 - the coupons are only redeemable in the US while supplies last! (ends later today at 7pm UK time/2pm Eastern Time. )

Free Game Project:
I've restarted a project I originally started back in 2008 that used to be called Good Games to Grab, where I posted free games over in the forums on a daily basis; however, I won't be posting them daily this time, only as and when I have time and the inclination. You can find the new forum section entitled 'Free Game Project' HERE. So far, I've posted eight excellent PC games, plus one android game as well as suggested or linked to others similar to the ones posted. I'll be adding more as and when I have the time or the mood takes me over the coming months.

Amazon Prime Gaming:
If you have Amazon Prime you also get access to a new set of free games every month. The March freebies include an Origin code for 'Madden NFL 22', and 'Surviving Mars' on Epic Games (this has been given away twice via Epic a few years ago on the 10th October 2019 together with a couple of the DLC and again on the 11th March last year; if you missed it both times here's your chance to finally grab the base game). There are also some downloadable games and a whole bunch of in game content for lots of big name games like League of Legends, GTA V, Red Dead Online, Dead by Daylight, Destiny 2, Battlefield 2042 and loads more. Visit Prime Gaming for details.

Aprils games should be live on Friday 1st April.
Other Free or Discounted Games:
Black And White Apocalypse that was given away mid January (HERE) by the developer Hammergames is always free via Itch.io and can also be downloaded as a colour version. You can find both versions via the following links Black & White version, and Coloured version. :) Hammergames also offer other games they have created free HERE. Some of them look like they are worth investigating. :)

Stay safe everyone.
