True Detective Solitaire:

In Brief:
True Detective Solitaire has never been given away before. As the name implies it's a solitaire card game with a theme of solving crimes. We've had several of these games over the last few years, all of them with the same game mechanic. They are a pleasant distraction with the potential for unlimited game play due to the randomisation of decks each time you play them (see the last two images that are the same level replayed). The game is well worth downloading, especially if you enjoy playing solitaire games. The graphic is sharp though the colours are muted. The game is introduced with a simple tutorial to walk those of you who've not played this type of game before through the basics. Thankfully the tutorial can be skipped if you wish.

The Game:
There are twelve packs in each of the two modes that cover various stages of solving the crime; for example, Detective's Office, Museum, Criminals Lair, Attic, Secret Room and Final Skirmish. Each pack contains ten levels making a total of 120 levels to work through in each of the two modes i.e. a total of 240 levels, giving you many hours of game play, with (as already mention above) a high re-playability factor thrown in because each level is never the same if played a second or more times due to the randomisation of the cards. Each time you play the same level golden cards will still be in the same positions as when you previously played the game, though the card value will be different..

There are trophies such as Sharp Eye where you are awarded 10000 points for passing all the levels in Newbie mode, Detective's Hat where you are awarded 20 000 points for getting the maximum points in 6 packs in Professional mode, Golden Lock gives you 5000 points for getting maximum points for 1 pack in Newbie mode, Valuable Coin gives you 250000 for getting maximum points in 12 packs in Newbie mode, and Glove of Fortune I you get 5000 points for getting the maximum points on three levels in a row; plus 16 other trophies which you can see via the main menu.

Conclusion:
We've had quite a few of these solitaire games, with exactly the same mechanics e.g. Detective Solitaire: Inspector Magic and the Forbidden Magic (14th May 22) , Solitaire: Legend Of The Pirates 3 (23rd Oct 21), Mystery Solitaire: Cthulhu Mythos (8th Aug 21), Solitaire Victorian Picnic 2 (31st July 21), Mystery Solitaire: Grimm's Tales (17th July 21), Detective Solitaire: Butler Story (7th Feb 21), Solitaire Jack Frost Winter Adventures (3rd Jan 21), Mystery Solitaire: The Black Raven (17th Oct 20) and more; as well as others with similar game play e.g. Solitaire Game: Halloween (30th Oct 21), , Dreamland Solitaire (15th Aug 21), Solitaire Mystery: Four Seasons (7th Aug 21). The only thing that changes for most of these games is the story or the graphics. Still, if you enjoy solitaire, today's version is worth downloading.

I like the fact that replaying any level you will get a different set of cards displayed, making this game playable over and over, each time with different results. You can also set up multiple profiles, making this an ideal family arcade game.

Notes on Security
I scanned a zipped copy of the installed game using Virus Total and it found 2 hits (VBA32 & Jiangmin) from 60 antimalware engines. These 2 nearly always tag Toomky Games compared to most better known and more reliable antimalware engines; so, it's very very very likely to be a false positive.
