The game installed and plays on Vista 32 bit.
This is my first Motorbike game and the first time I've used the arrow keys to play a game (I'm a lefty and the arrow keys are set-up for right hand). I thought I would try it because Whiterabbit-uk said it's an easy game.
Well, this complete novice won a bronze trophy on the 3rd try of the 1st level and on the 1st try of the 2 level (I'm still patting myself on the back). The arrow keys and I are now acquainted, and getting along just fine.
So, if you're like me and haven't tried this type of game .... here's your chance.
It's free, not too difficult to learn and fun!
Thank you GOTD and Whiterabbit-uk!

That's a really good result kvtto, not bad for a beginner. I'm left handed too, but I use my left hand for the mouse usually so have got used to using the arrow keys with my right hand.

Try clearing out your internet cache. The cookie related to the game giveaway may be corrupted. Clearing out your cache may clear the problem. (some cookies are useful as they help to speed up page loading; if there are any you don't want to be deleted then you'll have to go through all the cookies and manually delete the gamegiveaway ones). To find the internet cache in Win XP right click on your internet icon and select internet properties; this opens up a small window where you'll find several things you can do, one of which is deleting internet cookies..
The game should automatically register when it installs. You don't have to manually register it (implied in your post, i.e. when trying to register). Find where the game was installed to. The default is C:\games\TrialmotorbikesAA\, then create a shortcut by right clicking on the games executable (the one with the icon image and labelled TMAA). Then select 'Send To' from the drop down menu , from this select 'Desktop (create shortcut)'. You'll then be able to start the game from your desktop via the shortcut you created; (hopefully).
Oh yeah, please don't shout in the comments section; (just in case you didn't realize, using capitals is equivalent to shouting).

i d/l this game and i didn't like it at all. the game kept freezing up and the controls were too hard to work. i wouldn't recommend this to anyone.
...............................Moderator comment...............................
Did you try to figure out why the game kept freezing? Is your computer up to the job of running the game. Maybe you needed to update your graphics drivers? The controls are Though I do agree the controls are a little hard to get used to;but, like most games you need to practice to become familiar with the game. That said, it would have been much better better if a controller was written into the games coding. Try using XPadder.

I d/l this game, but it will not setup,
Is there a problem with this site or ??
...........................Moderator comment................
When you say it wont set up what exactly do you mean? Are you saying that there is no shortcut once you've started the set up wizard? If so check the beginning of the first post above, it tells you where to look because no shortcut is installed. you have to know where the program is being installed so that you can then go to that folder and create a shortcut.

Fun game, fun graphics, sounds, and controls are decent - well worth free for the 30 minutes it took to play. Made a shortcut on my desktop since the installer does not, I'll probably play another hour or two one day to get gold on all the levels.
It's kind of a casual game. Would be excellent ported to Android. And you could probably sell 500,000 copies at 99 cents, which I'm pretty certain is about $499,990 more than you'll make with the Windows version :-)
Thank you, developer.

Has this been upgraded since the last time it was offered here?
The controls completely sucked in the last offering.
..............................Moderator comment.............................
Yes we get the latest version which has two modes (time trial and star collector modes) and 30 levels instead of 8, which the last game had. I've not had time to check whether the handling has been improved yet, but my experience of handling with most motocross games is that it's very hard to control the bikes until you get used to the control scheme; however not all Motocross games are hard, for example Fuel and 2XL Supercross.

The game unpacks to a readme and a dual activation and set up file. The games executable is approximately 104Mb in size once unpacked and installs to:
C:/Games/TrialMotorbikeAAs/TMAA
The installed folder is 216Mb in size. No shortcut is installed and there's no uninstaller within the installed games folder, so you'll need to make a note of where it's being installed to so that you can create a shortcut..

The game:
The basic edition was was given away only a few months ago. Hopefully all the issues with the first ‘Trial motorbikes: African Trail’ have been fixed by the developer who is known as Handmade Games or cccp-games, (they have finally got a ‘basic’ web site up and running HERE). The game is also similar to Super Motocross Deluxe that was given away back in January this year except that there are new levels that emulate an African environments. Today's version includes both game modes Time Trial (which was included in the original game) and Star Collector. You get 15 levels in each mode making a total of 30 levels.
Unfortunately every time I tried to take a screen capture the game crashed; however, the ones I found over on cccpgames.ru’s web site give an adequate picture of what you can expect. As for any problems running the game; please check back to previous giveaways via the links I’ve provided HERE or
before posting any problems you are having because you may find the answer by following either link.
You’ll find the games menu system exactly the same as Monster Truck Deluxe, with a range of levels to play, but these have to be unlocked and you also have a few different trials bikes (4) to choose from, which are also locked. The levels include, Flyover, Rusty rods, Bridges, Sunset Hills, Underground, Insanity, Lonely Rock and Roundabout to name just a few of the levels. The levels are repeated in the star collectors mode but you'll find Nitro in different places as well as loads of stars to collect. It's not as easy as you may think because you need to use the nitro to collect many of the stars and I found it's use unpredictable, (well more like uncontrolable) The controls are straight forwards but most novice racers will probably find it hard to play at first. The all or nothing nature of keyboards (that is, no force feedback) means that you have to constantly adjust your speed by letting go of the accelerator and using the brake to ensure you don't topple over. I don't know whether you can use controllers in this game, but I suspect not. There's no toggle in the options menu to show that you can use a controller; however you may be able to use XPadder, that allows you to use controllers as opposed to keyboards even though the keyboard is usually the only mode of control; (basically the XPadder is an emulator that enables you to transpose the keyboard controls over to a controller such as an XBox controller - you can get an attachement that allows you to use XBox controllers on a PC via a USB port). I think you can still find the freeware version of XPadder on the net, but the latest versions are now commercial. To complete a run you have to stay upright., if you hit the ground upside down the game is over.
When starting a new game you have to set up your player’s profile. Once this is done you progress to the level selection page of which there are two modes Time Trial and Star Collector. Each mode has 15 levels, all of which are locked apart from the first one. To progress from one level to the next you have to earn at least a bronze cup from each race. There are bronze, silver and gold cups to win, based on the time you complete each stage. You can replay any unlocked levels whenever you wish. There are four motocross bikes to choose from; the GrinderKRZ, which is unlocked at the beginning of the game, and three locked bikes called a Masterbike 3000, the Magnum Striker and Titanium Neo respectively. I unlocked the second bike by winning silver in the first level and a gold in the second, though it didn't appear to confer any extra speed; in fact iIwas slower using the Masterbike 300 than the GrinderKRZ, but it did seem easier to control, (hard to say exactly)? Unlocking bikes relies upon earning a specific combination of cups; so wining gold and silver medals instead of bronze should unlock bikes quicker. You have to unlock bikes seperately in the Star collector mode. You can earn Nitro by doing back flips and summersaults, plus there's also nitro power ups that can be picked up along each levels course. Use these wisely because you may find yourself taking off like a jet plane if used incorrectly, or unable to climb a particular slope because of the steepness, though the latter can be accomplished so long as you have a decent run up to the slope. Although the game looks like a 3D game, it's really only a 2D representation of a trials bike game. If you like these sorts of gfames heck out my alternatives below. Of all of the ones I've mentioned I'd definitely recommend the game called fuel which is only $15 or if you are on a tight budget go for one of the earlier games such as Motocross Madness 2 or Motocross Mania, both of which can be found via places like Amazon for as little as £2.00 ( approx $3). you can actually get them for as little as 0.01p but the postage and packaging costs £1.99 :)
The game reminds me a little of Trials 2: Second Edition, though Trials 2 has far more sophisticated graphics, more levels; that are much,’ much’ harder and also has a worlwide online scoring system. Trials Motocross: Africa appears to have no high scores table, though there are player statistics to be found in the menus. Races are based on times, but if you don’t attain at least a bronze time the game is null and void, that is, there is no record of your game play and you have to restart the level until you’ve attained a bronze, which will then unlock the next level. Even then the only evidence you’ve attained anything is through the games save system once you’ve won a medal. you can return to your game by clicking continue from the main menu or selecting a new game you can create multiple profiles.
It may be possible to ‘hack’ into the games configuration file to unlock all of the levels and bikes (for those who just want to be able to play any level right from the outset, or for those who find it hard to win even a bronze cup). The controls are straightforward, but that doesn’t mean to say the game is easy. Some will probably find the controls hard to use, but generally I think you’ll find it easy to control the bikes, especially with a little practice,; however, I’ll leave that up to the individual to find out.
I tested the game using the following operating systems: Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit, Win 7 Pro 64 bit and and Win XP Pro 32 bit, and the game works with no hiccups.
Features:
• 15 challenging levels
• 2 different game modes
• 4 motorbikes
Controls:
• ROLL LEFT – LEFT ARROW
• ROLL RIGHT – RIGHT ARROW
• MOVE FORWARD – UP ARROW
• MOVE BACKWARD – DOWN ARROW
• USE NITRO – Shift
• PAUSE/RETRY/EXIT – ESC
System Requirements:
Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7
Processor 1 Ghz or better
512 Mb RAM
64 Mb of video memory
Conclusion:
The handling of the bike was relatively easy, though it may take some practice if you’re not used to the controls. Unfortunately only keyboard controls are available for this game., with no game pad support; however you may be able to use Xpadder a program that allows you to use gamepads in the place of keyboards. The latest versions of Xpadder are now commercial, but the freeware version can still be found if you dig deep enough. I liked the overall look of the game, but I already have a really good trials bike simulator called Trials 2: Second Edition that is vastly superior to this game (due in part to the better looking level designs and the ragdoll physics, plus theres a lot more levels; however, that said I’ll still be keeping todays giveaway for some light relief as it’s a much easier game than Trials 2, which I find almost impossible to beat.
Overall, if you don’t have any other games of this type, it’s okay for free and should give you some measure of enjoyment, but I think purists to this genre will find this too easy, the graphics a little to flung together and the game far too short. At the very most there’s an hours’ worth of game play and that’s if you need to repeat each level at least once or twice. I was able to complete the first six levels in less than 8 minutes.
I do like this sort of game so am rather generous with my scoring giving this a 6 out of 10 for the physics aspect of the game. I don’t think it’s worth the asking price (just under $10) due to the shortness of the game. As mentioned below you can get a superb game called Fuel with many hours of game play plus state of the art graphics and physics emulation for around $15 from steam (check it out HERE)
Other useful information:
Music:
There are four low quality MP3 tracks that you can replace if you don’t like the menu and in game music. I found ithe music a very repetitive loop so just turned the volume down via the options menu. All you need to do is go C:/Games/cccpgames.ru/TrialMotorbikeAA\\Data\Music; (the path may be slightly different, so I'd keep an eye on where you install the game to). To change the music just select the three MP3’s you want to use from your collection and rename the files you use to Level1, level2, Level3(no spaces) and menu, though from what someone said a while ago, you may not even need to do that.
Other Trial Bike or similar Games:
You can get a reasonable quad bike racing game called ATV Quadro Racing HERE, for free from Gametop. MyPlaycity has three trial bike games called Trial Bike Ultra , Super Motocross and today’s giveaway Super Motocross Africa
Another free bike racing game called Moto Racing (which I think is better than the one being given away for free today), can be downloaded from HERE, though it doesn’t have the physics emulation that Super Motocross has. Monster Truck Trials the previous giveaway that is similar to today’s game giveaway, is also available for free HERE, though it’s had a name change to Monster Truck Challenge.
Here’s a couple more online trials bike games that can be played full screen called Bike Master, which you can find HERE and Trial bike Pro which you can get HERE. There’s also some newer additions to Gametops books such as Neptunes Buggy Online and Sky Track (which is similar to Star Racing).
There are more racing games available from Gametop, MyPlayCity and FreeGamePick and also some freeware and abandonware racing games available via the free games synopsis in the giveaway forums. You’ll find a sticky on the front page of the forums that'll take you to the lists of games. Trackmania is probably the best of the freeware games, but others such as the online game Darkwind and the abandonware game Death Rally (which was recently updated so that it will now play on windows).
Commercial games worth buying:
If you don’t mind paying for your games, you can get several excellent 3D Motocross games (that are rather old, but still look good and play well) called Motocross Mania and Motocross Madness 2 that allow you to move around a vast open world, and have several different modes of play. You can pick up either of the games below for less than today’s giveaway if you look for them on the net. I’ve seen Motocross Madness 2 (the better of the two games) for less than $5 on Play.com, though you may have to buy a second hand one. More recently I've bought several games that have Motocross racing included called MX vs ATV Reflex (Just released this week on Steam), Nail'd (Just released this week on Steam), MotorM4X: Offroad Extreme, 2XL Supercross and some time ago Trials 2: Second Edition. All of which are excellent Motocross games. Even Fuel which also includes three and four wheel drive vehicles (75 vehicles to choose from), has motocross bikes included. You can explore One hundred thousand miles of roads paths and dirt tracks over terrain that has been created using satellite imagery of real paths, roads, tracks and landscape features such as the Grand Canyon as well as explore fourteen thousand square miles of America with the game Fuel (released last year and now available on Steam for only £10.99 {approx $15})
