This is a truly awesome free game. I was a little bummed that it only had 30 levels...until I discovered there are 30 per each style of game....90 levels! I'm a happy kid! This one is worth paying the price to load on my laptop too! I'm a cubis fan, but the graphics in this are so much nicer! Now that Hubby has seen why I've been "ignoring" him, I may have to buy it for HIS laptop too!!! Kudos to Realore!

#33, Irish:

Hey, glad you found the problem! It did sound just like a problem a friend offline was having with this site ...and that person turned out not to have administrator rights. But it was a quick fix.

If a restart fixed the problem then something must have been running that interferred. Just having broadband shouldn't matter, I use that too and don't have any problems. If recall correctly, you had put up a similar message on a previous game (don't recall which one)...d'loaded and activated fine but wouldn't install. If you still have that setup.exe then that game should also install now as full version since it's already activated. Give it a try!

Hi destiny tyler (#34)! It cost nothing to be a member here. And the only payment if you would like, is to the software developers. ;)

I figured out what the problem was. I have broadband, but I still shut down my computer at night. Last night, I didn't do that, so that I hadn't restarted today. Once I realized that, I restarted and the game installed without problem. I'm just glad that I figured it out before the time ran out. :-)

Hey Game Seeker!

You bet wrong. What do I win?

I do run Win XP, BUT I am the only one who uses this computer and I am set up as "computer administrator." There are no other profiles on here. I am not on a network of any kind. The last time that anyone else used my computer was two years ago and I've taken my computer back to factory settings twice since then, so there is nothing lingering from that.

Obviously that is not the explanation. Thanks anyway.

Irish

Re: #52, Irish:

I would bet you're using Windows XP and that you don't have administrator rights on your XP user profile, and simply don't realize it. If you don't have administrator rights then the games you download from here will activate (register) fine, but they will not install. You cannot install without administrator rights.

Either change user profiles to one with administrator rights or add them to the profile you are using to download and install from this site. After that everything will both activate and install just fine.

Incidentally, any games that you successfully activated before should still install fine (full version) once you have administrator rights, as long as your computer hasn't been formatted since you activated.

I downloaded this game. Extracted the files to the desktop. Clicked on the setup.exe It did not setup the game. Instead it took me to the game activation page on this site. I successfully acitvated a game I don't even have. I re-downloaded the game with the exact same results as the first time. I know the saying is "Three strikes and you're out." I don't need three strikes. Two is more than plenty.

I think this site is great. Whats so hard...if you don't like the game, delete it. End of problem, no expense because it was free. There seem to be a lot of selfish, self centered people with no appreciation for what your site has to offer.

#17 Asks: "Question, how to you write your name for score. Can’t clear the word”player”"

Eva, just click on where it says 'Player' to highlight ... hit the 'DEL' key 6 times to delete the word "Player", then enter your name and hit OK.

@#1 - Vincent

Thanks you for the well thought out review of the software. So well thought out and in depth. It just made me go out and actually buy this software instead of getting it for free. And please accept the reward you obviously wanted for having the 1st post - a 2mm extension to your e-penis.

On a serious note, if you must be pathetic and post " WHOO first comment", at least tell us what you think of the game.

Other comments are correct, this is a re-themed (different graphics and music) XMas Blox which was offered Chistmas Day. Realore isn't trying to hide that though, on their site's 'all games' page this one is listed right under XMas Blox and they run a two-for-one price special for these two games. XMas Blox was highly rated, so if you missed that one or would just like a non-holiday themed version then try this one.

For those looking for play instructions without having to download and install first, it's simple. This game is a Cubis clone, you line up three or more of the same color cubes on a stack to clear them. Once downloaded and installed, anyone not familiar with Cubis will find 6 pages under 'Help' to explain play, bonuses, and obstacles for Treasures of Persia.

Like all the Realore games so far, this one has beautiful graphics and nice music. Graphics and music are adjustable under Options. The music files are all in Ogg Vorbis format, which allows much smaller files while sounding great. (Never heard of Realore before game.giveawayoftheday, but have recommended them since and very much enjoy their attention to such details.) There's three play modes, Timed, Strategy, and Arcade ... each individual mode has 30 levels.

Like cubis.... fun, but the fun is too short... only 30 levels. If you've played a game like this before it will only take you an hour or so to end the game. But it's still fun.

Paco and Nazza (if you come back and read this) perhaps you didn't go to the "HELP" selection in the main menu. There is a full explanation of each block there. If you get bored after completing the levels - challenge yourself to always make a move that clears blocks - make the fewest moves - avoid collapsing cracked blocks unnessesarily - get higher scores. My husband and I are both still playing the Christmas version of this game occasionally:D

Remember, most games have a HELP button in the main menu or on the game board once you are playing. I think Developers are proud of their games and want us to like them so they can may be able a living. I download most of 'em and uninstall if they're not for me.

Thanks again GGotD!

This is easily one of my most favorite styles of game. Treasure of Persia is the non-Xmas version of this company's Xmas Blox. Very similar in play to the Cubis games. As for this particular game, the graphics are decent and sound effects are fun. A good game for children and adults alike.

I love your site, BUT.....all the games seem to be of the same old type, tile and line. It doesn't matter wether it's a shoot up or character game, over 90% is this type of game. They do get tiresome after a while.
More adventure games, and Mario style games (arcade) would be nice.

Thank you

In Fact we *do* downloand games juste because they are free
i download each game and try at least one time.

That is the fun about this site to discover new game genre even if they are not our "kind" of games!

They are free so why not try ;)

If you missed this game last December, when it was the same game with a Christmas theme give it a go. It will provide you with about 8-10 hours of distraction Not great but the different elements provide you with some fun. However after you complete the game(and you will even if you are half interested) it will be difficult to give it another go. As far as free games go it is a good download, not sure I'd buy it though.

There is something amazing regarding this editor and this game : there is absolutly NO explanation about the game rules. We just know it is a "puzzle", a term so vague it can cover about anything, and that we must "join chips".
Sorry GAOTD, we like your concept but we don't gonna download an try a game just because it is free , we need to know a bit more to make an informed consent !
