Whiterabbit-uk, Thank You so much for this excellent review. Love tower defense games myself and this looks like a winner. Thanks also to My Play City for providing this game.
I am looking forward to many hours of great play.

Ila Turner,
There aren't many on the lines of Plants vs. Zombies, so this was great to see the first time around and again now. Thank you for your comment.

I get a "failed to launch program". What's up?

Paul Caplin,
The executable is wrapped in Themida code, which sometimes sets off your security which blocked the installation but not the activation. There are three things you can do to get the game installed:
1) ... White-list the giveaway files with your security
2) ... Reboot in safe mode with networking, install the game then reboot as normal
3) ... temporarily turn off your security, install then turn your security back on
The giveaway team have been giving games away for almost 13 years and have never given away a game infected with malware.

Whiterabbit-uk, I had done all that, and this isn't the first time this has happened, at least to me. The last few downloads have "Failed to launch", and I've tried everything... safe mode, compatibility mode, turning off antivirus and other programs that might interfere... nothing works. The Thermida wrapper isn't the problem here, as I've installed dozens of programs successfully. Have you changed anything in the way you prepare the programs for download?

Paul Caplin, Doesn't matter, the time for the giveaway is over. I'm done. Thanks for the games over the years. I'm out.

Paul Caplin,
Thank you for replying, sorry you feel that way.
Personally i've only ever had issues with a few giveaways over the years since the giveaway project started and they were casued by a security program that I'd deactivated, but somehow reactivated without my knowledge, so I couldn't igure what the issue was for over a month.
The only other thing I can suggest is that something else on your computer is causing the issue, perhaps something you installed recently?
Have you checked the event logs over the periods you've tried but failed to get one of these giveaways installed? Sometimes you can find the cause of the issue there.

I installed & played a little, then, it hangs.
And I can't get out of it unless I restart or logout of windows 8.1 64.
Can you help?
Should I use compatibility mode?
Or, should I just uninstall?

Wanderer,
I would try compatibility mode first. I have WIN 10 and find I sometimes have to try more than one setting to get a game to work, even newer ones, but I tenaciously (otherwise known as too darn stubborn) refuse to give up until I find one that will work.
Good luck and happy gaming!

Wanderer,
Hi Wanderer, did you get the game issue fixed?

Ila Turner,
Thanks Ila.
I normally would do that too, but, the problem in this case is restarting the machine. Annoying.

Whiterabbit-uk,
Thanks Whiterabbit-uk.
No I did not.
I just uninstalled. Having to restart the machine after each try was annoying.
