The Game:
Tisnart Tiles is a simple match three puzzle game that consists of 120 levels of gameplay. There is no story, no hidden content, nothing complicated; what you see is what you get. Unfortunately this also means if you’ve played one level then you’ve played them all. The game suffers from being repetitive and despite giving players special powers to use during levels and items to buy with gold you gain, sitting and playing more than five levels may become boring. The difficulty increases as you progress but it doesn’t take long to master the challenges the game throws at you, leaving players waiting for something new.

That being said, the gameplay is very simple and fun. Your goal is to match three or more tiles of the same colour to take them off of the board. Each level gives you a goal of how many tiles of certain colours to collect, you are also timed with a bar that pushes the tiles up to the top or bottom of the screen, once it hits the edge it’s game over. The game adds in new twists to try and change things up, such as gravity playing a factor in where tiles end up. Some levels can seem very topsy-turvy with things moving side-to-side even. There are also power up titles that pop up on the board, these can flip tiles over or change titles to certain colours along with a host of other things. I personally found only a handful of them useful and the game didn’t offer new power tiles as often as I’d like. You also gain gold in the game which can be used to buy items which can be the most useful things in the game though fifty levels in and I found myself with a surplus of gold taking away any sort of strategy on when to buy an item.

Conclusion:
I found Tisnart Tiles quite interesting despite the main game play element can become a little tedious after several minutes of game play; that said, the various game mechanics, some of them original ideas added to this match three or more give the game some credibility and in my opinion is a worthwhile download. I would say it's an ideal accompaniment to your morning or afternoon tea or coffee break. I found it a refreshing change from some of the match threes I've played over the past several months. Apart from it's match three element, it has a collapse element to it. I would have liked to have seen an untimed mode included, but it doesn't detract from the game not having that option.

Issues?:
If you have any issues starting , downloading or installing the game, please first refer to the FAQ's thread over in the giveaway game discussion forum HERE. If you can't find a solution there, then please do post your issue here. Some other steps/things you can try before posting your issue include checking your event logs for any error messages regarding the game. To access the event logs type Event viewer in the search field, this will open a best match window, with the Event Viewer icon a the top of the list. Other issues are usually a result of the weekend giveaways game installer being wrapped with a Themida wrapper. Themida wrappers can also be used to hide malware, so some anti malware suites will automatically block them. There are a few ways to circumvent this issue; that you'll find in the FAQ's thread I've linked to above.

Notes on Security

I scanned a zipped copy of the installed game using Virus Total and it found 5 hits (VBA32 , Rising, Jiangmin, NANO-Antivirus & Zilliya from 61 antimalware engines. Of the five hits, all but NANO-Antivirus often tag TooMky games and the other free sites (i.e. MyPlayCity & Falcoware) from all the other antimalware suites; most of which are better known and more reliable. 56 of the 61 antimalware engines found the installed game safe, so the five hits are likely to be false positives.
I installed the game and had no warnings from my security (Bit Defender).

The downloaded executable 'may' include some low level adware that opens your browser to TooMky Games home page after the game has installed. That said, the installation DOES NOT inject any malware into your system.

When your browser is opened to TooMKY Games home page following the games installation, because of the low level adware, it earns TooMKY Games some money, part of which is given to the developer of the game for allowing the game to be given away free. All these games from all of the free game sites are commercial shareware games that usually cost money to buy; usually from sites like Game Fools, Alawar, Playrix, Gamehouse, Steam and others.

You can see the results of the scan via the following link:

This game and the last several will not install. It says it is activating, but there is no installation. I shut down my antivirus for a short time assuming that was the problem with wrapper, but still no installation.

car,

Hello Car,

Please check your Event Logs via the event viewer. If the installation is being blocked, there should be some evidence in the logs that may give you a clue as to what the issue is?

I had a similar problem some years ago, where I wasn't able to install any of the giveaway games for several weeks. This followed a serious system failure where I'd been forced to replace the motherboard and some of the system RAM. The motherboard and RAM had been fried due to a strong electrical surge. I'd neglected to plug the computer into a surge protection/suppressor device.

I thought it may be the Windows client that was the issue because I always thought that changing a motherboard or CPU meant you needed to re register your Windows client, but because I replaced the motherboard with exactly the same motherboard, I was never asked to re register the installation. Anyway, after several weeks I ended up contacting Microsoft as I still thought it had something to do with Windows (I had Win 7 installed at the time); they asked for permission to access my desktop; which I granted because I'd tried everything I could think of to fix the issue without success. My next step was going to be to reinstall Windows, but as a last ditched thought I decided to contact Microsoft first as I hate having to do a full reinstall.

They found the issue in less than a minute.

Basically I'd installed a security program, (that I'd got via the giveawayoftheday several months previously), but I hadn't like it, so I'd disabled it (instead of deleting it). I'd forgotten that I'd originally installed it some months before the system failure with my computer. Installing a new motherboard somehow re-activated the program. I'd checked the Task Manager several times to see if I could identify anything that could be responsible, but the security program didn't show up in the Task Manager (probably a security measure to stop remote disabling of the program). However, it was evident in the context menu when you right clicked on the desktop, but because I'd installed so many programs , the drop down menu used to extend further than the size of my monitor and I never noticed the program was running. They disabled the program for me and I was again able to download and install all giveaways. I immediately deleted the security program following that.

So, it may be you have some security running that you have forgotten about, or has been reactivated without your knowledge, and is doing the same thing as I experienced?

Check to see if you have more than one security software running including Windows own Microsoft Essentials. I've had a few games blocked by Essentials recently, so have had to allow them via Essentials. This is usually done when the giveaway is downloading and then is blocked. Clicking on the button next to the download gives you the option of still allowing the download to proceed. The option can be split into two or three stages before you finally get the download completed.

It's hard describing the above process of allowing the blocked download to continue without having to do it directly (I've not had to do it for a few weeks, so can't remember exactly how it's presented).

Alternatively, check HERE; it shows you how to temporarily disable Microsoft's Security Essentials; or, check both your context menu and the task manager to see if there are other security software running that you've forgotten about.

The following link HERE shows you how to whitelist via Mircrosoft's Security Essentials. Though as I tried to describe abysmally above, you should be able to do it as soon as the download is blocked via the pop up window that appears when a download is appearing. This window usually disappears as soon as you click elsewhere on the desktop. To access the disabling area there should be a arrow next to where the file is said to be blocked. Again, I can't describe this exactly because I'd need to see it in action (my memory isn't what it used to be)

Finally, have you checked the FAQ's thread over in the game discussion forums? There may be other fixes that can help. You can access the FAQ's thread HERE

Assuming you do fix the issue, please do let me know how you accomplished the fix because it may be useful to add the fix to the FAQ's thread.

Whiterabbit-uk,

Hi again Car

The following images show the different stages that enable a blocked download from being blocked to being able to download. The small window pops up when you press the download button for the game. I've used an example of a free application posted over in the forums for a Halloween app:

This is a good game I have played the first 6 levels and will definitely keep it.
It starts off easy but gets more challenging as you progress through the levels. It is a match 3 game with a difference with the tiles going at different directions and speed for you to complete the level.
