Re: locked cars.
When you win so many races these locked items become available. you just have to earn them.

Funny how people will complain about something they get for free. Give people a wheelbarrel full of gold and they will complain about it being to heavy!

How do you know what the difference in the versions is? Maybe it was a fix of something that has nothing to do with how the game plays?

v1.16 is an "update" not a "upgrade" so yeah, this is bull.

I should have read #3's comment before I ran the update (not thinking about it).

I find it kinda cheeky that they wouldn't have the most recent version available.

"Here, take this old version, it has bugs but what do you expect for free."

It's me again (old version complainer guy). Granted ... I'm uptight on the issue, but I can't get past this. I'm not asking for upgrades, which should be paid for. What is so hard to accept here? It's a bug fix that doesn't generate any revenue, but it might result in lost sales (I uninstalled 1.13 which means I'm not sampling the product).

It is entirely reasonable to ask for the latest bug-free version of a particular product. Those who feel otherwise are the same folks who give their unwanted "treasures" to Goodwill and say, "it may be partially broken, but someone will be grateful to have it anyway." Ask the people who work and/or shop there and you'll hear a majority of them say, "uhhh ... thanks, but what makes you think I want your broken stuff?"

Come on, GOTD. I say, "thanks, but ..."

At least it's something different... but there are multitudes of freeware better than this. Check out Generally, better everything, along with everything being entirely customizable.

ROFL... this reminds me of Micro Machines way back with the original 8-bit Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), which was my favorite game back then. Still, these types of games are still enjoyable years later...

This game was awsome, I played it for a second then it crashed. For some reason, it stayed running but wasn't responding. I even tried ending the process "TinyCars2.exe" in task manager, only to fail miserably. I was then forced to end many other processes like my internet browser, word processor, etc. Maybe it's just my computer.
But anyway, keep up the great work GOTD! :)

P.S. Anyone notice that giveawayoftheday.com was made with WordPress?

Good game but where's the little map in the game which tells you where you and your other players are?

Didn't like Tiny Cars I which is hardly playable without any joystick.
Keyboard doesn't do it for the fun.
The "System requirements" should list a joystick.

#17, understandable what you're saying but "no free upgrades" as written on the download page and in readme is a definitive statement. There's no qualifier like "except upgrades that may consist of minor bug fixes". ;)

Maybe a little silly for an adult like me to get a big kick out of the easiest level, but I love this game. Still wish I could find out about yesterday's game, though.

I was unable to run Snowy:Puzzle Island and Magic Ball2 because of a 3D device I do not seem to have. Sorry to look back, but I could use some help and can't get into Forum as I somehow do not match the criteria required.(???) Can someone at Givaway of the Day perhaps help? Thanks!

to #13) I'm not complaining about "no free upgrades" -- I understand and accept that. This is different -- the giveaway is not the most recent version of the product line they're giving away. I wouldn't bring this up if it was 2.0 vs 1.13 (usually indicating new features, revised game engine, or something big).

I bring it up because the differences between 1.13 and 1.15 are usually bug fixes. I'm not asking for free upgrades, but the latest debugged revision. This program has an "update" feature and if you try to use to get the latest bug fix, you will break your registration status.

I'm not sure how much sense this makes, but if they offered a free full Office 97 ... I wouldn't complain because I couldn't upgrade to Office 2000, yet it's entirely reasonable to expect the last revision of 97 with the fewest known bugs in it.

Graphics improved from the first version but when selecting your car some have a "not available" message. Otherwise pretty typical of most racing games, fans of that genre will like this one. Just as fast but much better graphics than GeneRally, the most popular freeware multiplayer racing game.

Re: #3 Frank:
Part of the terms of GGOTD is "no free upgrades", it's in the readme.txt with every zip file. GGOTD almost always has current versions. This time not, but maybe when the give away agreement was made v1.13 was the latest and v1.15 was released in the time between the agreement and actually putting the game on the site. It's always possible.

Realore's site says "9 various tiny cars with different characteristics" for v1.15. But all 9 are not selectable in v.1.13 from GGOTD so the upgrade probably just removes that "not available" message from the other car selections. Nice to have but not anything that affects game play.

Great game! I loved it!!! I have just played in easy mode, but it's too simple for me, I think I will try the hard mode. Nice graphics, up-down view, the best for me. I give a 10!

Hey this is a fun game arcade car racing, been a while since I came across a game like this, good to see games like this. :)
Sometimes NFS lacks the "fun factor." Keep up the good work GAOTD.

Not so challinging as Mad cars of the same company, but it's fun to play it. So in a scale from 0-10 I give the program 7 points.

I played it. Somehow the First Version was more simple & thus more fun. But this one is almost the same. Nice game..

#5, this game has a multiplayer mode, which, indeed, requires one of the computers to act as a server. :))))

GOTD's download is not the most recent version of this game. If you run update after installing GOTD's version, you "break" your full version status.

For the record, GOTD is allowing your to DL version 1.13 while the website lists 1.15 as the most recent update. I ran the update (which is a feature of v1.13) and now it wants me to register.

I don't know if this ruins it for you or not ... but at least you know.

I loved the previous version & I'm sure that I'll love this one too.. But the sad part is that I formatted my comp after installing the earlier one & so, this is exactly what I wanted.. :D
