Every weekend i used to pay a quick visit this site,
as i want enjoyment, since this this web site conations genuinely nice funny information too.

I have to give the game itself a thumbs up, but overall a thumbs down because of execution, at least on my system (XP, although I won't actually rate it. Yet another game that causes havoc with my input devices; uninstalled.

Any idea how to uninstall this, as there does not seem to be an uninstaller supplied?

Sorry for the very late reply. Most giveaways install directly to the hard drive with no registry entries, which is why you can't find an uninstaller. The way to delete the game is to find where it's installed and delete it from there. The lack of registry entries usually indicates that the game is free standing.

Sorry to hear about your ribs. I had cracked ribs once. Felt like someone poking me with a needle all the time. No fun. Hope you get better soon. I downloaded Version 1 when it was offered and really liked it. I started looking around for the game. Found all 4 versions on amazon dot com and bought and downloaded the Multi-Pack which contains all 4 sets for only $9.99. Really enjoyed Version 1 and will probably enjoy the other 3 also. Thanks for your comment. That's a bargain; 8 years ago those four games (if they had all been created then), would have set you back nearly $80. Arcade games came down in price massively after the recession hit in 2008. You'll find each one offers something different. I prefer one over two and 3, but number 4 is my favorite.

Amazon haven't set up digital downloads in the UK yet. It was Amazon that bought out my favorite arcade supplier Reflexive Arcade. I purchased over 900 games from Reflexive. They had a type of DRM, so if you needed to reinstall your game on a new computer, or one that had been upgraded, you had to apply for a new activation code. When Amazon bought out Reflexive arcade, they promised to keep the servers open, but reneged on their promise. Thankfully I found one of those password generators that allows me to activate most of my reflexive arcade collection (about 95% of them). Still lost almost 50 games which can't be re activated. I paid $19.99 for each one of those games, so its slightly annoying both that Amazon don't sell digital in the UK (they have some brilliant offers) and won't reactivate games bought previous to their takeover.

W.r.t. my rib, it more likely now that its just bruised as it's nowhere near as painful this morning as it was two days ago. I could hardly move then, but I'm able to take in deep breaths and even sneezed this morning without much pain.

Thank you for your reply. I always fancied a Harley, but they weren't easy to come by in the UK. I settled for Triumph instead. Still fancy a bike, but the opiates i take and the damaged back are the main reasons I don't buy another. I am considering buying a trike. I contacted that famous motorcycle maker in the US. Can't remeber the name. The one that has a TV program dedicated to him, with him and his son falling out. I remember seeing them build a trike for a disabled rider, so cantacted them, but never received a reply back. Did conssider having them build one for me. :) But I would still have to reduce the opiates to almost zero beofre I was allowed on the road.

My eldest son rides and I've got ayearning to go out riding with him. He's in his mid 30's now

I liked the first, so downloaded this right away with ease! It is very easy to play. Only thing I did not like, was that there was no real introduction. Perhaps
its still in trial? Played a few levels very easily. As the player above said, could not continue until bought something and there are no directions. So I kept hitting play and going around in a loop until I bought!

Hi never commented before, only get the games occasionally I think this is a great site, downloaded fine on a windows vista, 7 64bit and 8.1 64 bit, just fine all 2 play just fine. No t a bad game no story is differant and still havent really figured it out and halfway through, doesnt seem to matter though. Like why the maskes are green silver and gold when each time it says ive cmpleted at gold level, lol also doesnt really nmatter. A good way to spend some time.

Hi Doug, the different colored masks give you different power ups. For example if you spend your tokens on the gold mask, when you create a match three or more with gold tiles the gold mask appears to the left. If you manage to get a second set of three or more immediately after when this mask is showing, you'll get the poer up activating. I can't remeber what the gold one does at this moment, but examples would be you get extra time to complete the level, or all the tiles of a specific color are destroyed, (depending on the level of the poer up) each power up can be increased in power between three to 5 times depending which power up it is. When you go into the selection screen at the end of a level, you can see what each power up does. All the mask power ups have to be captured twice for you to see that power up.

Check the videos I've posted. you shoul;d see examples of them there. I hope this helps. It makes the game much more interesting.

I have not played any of the Montezuma series and was pleasantly surprised. It certainly has more action than many of the match 3 games in my collection. So far I've not managed to get all the green heads, but it will keep me busy trying to get there. Will keep an eye out for more in the series. Merry Christmas everyone!

Sorry to hear of your injuries, must be singularly onerous this close to Christmas. And at our age we don't heal as quickly as once we did.

As for today's game, I still have the original Montezuma downloaded a year or so ago, so look forward to this one. Downloaded and installed with no problems (system cursor or game cursor work equally well) - FTR I've never had any issues downloading or installing any games from this site. Graphics are good, sounds are nice ...but I can't get past the first level! I finish the first level, get a screen with a "play" button, click that, another screen with a play button, click that and go back to the first screen; then it just loops back and forth between those two screens. Started a new game, same result. Reinstalled, same result. Oh well.

Thanks for our comment. I've only ever had problems with one game way back in the first year. A weird breakout game were the platform movd. Can't remember the name of it now. I bought it from Alawar about 10 years ago, but it only worked on my old Win 98 machine, which I'd got rid of by the time the game was given away. Most other community members also had the same problem.

Thank you again for a fun afternoon with this free game. I've only ever played the first one and didn't realize this franchise was up to game 4 already! It downloaded quickly and I played the entire first level with no problems whatsoever on my Windows 7/64.

I had the same problem with two other games downloaded from here recently!

I enjoyed the first one so I knew I would enjoy this one.
The only drawback so far, is the bonus level. While I've only gotten to the 2nd one, it is the same as the first - a hidden object (which I dislike). The 1st one had different games/puzzles for the bonus.

Played several rounds, but I believe I will need to actually read the instructions this time to grasp the finer points. Looks like

Sorry to hear about your fall. I am still limping from my fall in August. I am going for a MRI in January. Once you get older, you just don't heal as fast.

As far as the game..already have it..AND 3 and 4 too. And I have finished all 4. I found I liked 1 better than all the rest as it had a good story and solid game play. I find myself playing it still.

Delenn. I too have to go for an MRI in January. Have been getting wrried about my memory, so the doctir is going to have it scanned. It's probably the organic damaged due to the accident, plus the opiate meds, but my wife is really worried as I've been getting worse recently. Have a superb Christmas. I hope your leg heals fully.

I am disappointed and will be uninstalling. However, what disappoints me may very well be welcomed by others.

I loved the first version, and expected this to be the same. The game is the same, but now you are forced to purchase items instead of it being optional. I like the way the first game scored, killing you off so to speak when you screwed up. Being able to continue on makes this version boring. Another issue is that it does not shrink to the size of the original Treasures and so I end up with these huge squares to match. So big, I have to get farther away from the screen to take it all in. Yes, that is the not-full-screen size. It points everything out to me. A game made for a kindergartener? Not a game at all, just a mouse exercise.

Really sorry to hear about your brother, losing family is the pits. I lost friends over the years i used a motorcycle, at university while in the bike club (I used to run a 750 Triumph Tiger), but moved to the Yamaha XJ series a sI loved the torque on the engine when you were accelerating; amazing acceleration on that bike (a 900cc), had it land on top of me on spagetti junction off the M6 in the UK when a car cut me up, it smashed my helment in two and broke my collar bone and several ribs all on the left hand side. I was left unconcious under the bike until some motorists stopped and lifted it off. took four of them to lift. Thankfully the helmet which was only a few weeks old saved my head (I think), lol..

So sorry to hear about your injury so close to holidays, and will add my well wishes for feeling better soon. Things here have been a bit crazy lately, with my husband being in hospital twice in two months, and now is at home on Hospice. Hoping he hangs in a bit so family can come in from other states for visits. While we knew this would be coming, it is earlier than we expected or hoped, and it is dampening the holiday spirit. And of course when it rains it pours, as we have had some other ongoing issues, and our car decided to die. But I have already located a replacement (older and not a beauty) which I hope is on the road by Christmas.

As to the game, it definitely interests me, and I will dl later. Also still having fun with some of the recent games and will monitor over the holiday weekend for new offerings. As always, I greatly appreciate all your efforts in presenting games, as well as the GGOTD team and the companies that offer us these gifts.

I love this type of game (puzzle, match 3). I already had the first of the serie, and it is a nice game. I love the newer graphics of Montezuma 2 as it reminds me of of the game called Wonderlines.

The original Treasures of Montezuma is far and away my favourite match 3 game, in fact it's the only match 3 which I play regularly. The powerup totems provide an engaging challenge, and I love the graphics and music. In fact I like the game so much that I looked into buying others in the series from Alawar, but I was put off by the apparent requirement to subscribe.

So obviously, I'm delighted to be given Treasures of Montezuma 2! I think there are more than enough new elements to make this second instalment well worth having - especially the new game modes and the beautiful new graphics.

Stephen, thanks for the mention of the Steam sale. That's really helpful. If I can buy the later versions without subscribing, I'll do so. Wishing you a fast recovery and a very merry Christmas.

Fun game & looking ahead to next weekend! Sorry about the tumble. Took a bad slippery header myself couple years back and would get sudden flair ups where body made contact with carried items. Soaking in tub w/ Dead Sea Salts at first then the cheaper Epsom salts helps a lot. Tiger's Balm, IcyHot, and SalonPas are all good products. Haven't tried the new patches over pain spot, activate with a button touch. Rest of course. Reminded me of a Christmas as a kid where I'd tripped over a sidewalk crack and broke the fall with hands & wrists. Well, no playing with the new train set that holiday into end of Jan. Did teach me to be more careful, for awhile... Rum & Egg Nog for giggles. Thanks GOTD.

We don't have abath yet, well we do, but its still not installed as we are still waitng to finsh legal proceedings against our builder. Can only have shwers. I've got some tiger balm, but whether it will be effective a sI've had it for about 25 years
still sealed in its tin.

Yes it does hurt, also sneezing. My wife was dusting the light wells where we have velux windows, I was holding the ladders as she hates to go up them, but with my ribs, wasn't able to myself. The dust made me sneeze, very painful. lol :).

Downloaded and installed on Win 8 64 bit machine with no issues. VERY cool game! I have the first Treasures of Montezuma game, and this is a nice follow up. The game play is enjoyable, I can't comment on the music, because I play with the speakers turned off. The only problem I have is with the end of level puzzle, the pieces are tough to find with my "old eyes", but the hint button seems to be endless. Overall I like it and think the replayability is good.

Hi Fran, I'll be fine. I've had a lot of broken bones over the years (mainly through Motorcycle accidents); I'm starting to think this one is just bruised. Will know dfor sure in a few days. I'm sure last weeks game will be given away again next year..

I don't know if they've changed this game, or if I've just finally figured it out, but I'm enjoying it much more than I did the first time I had it. I like the fact that the powerups are pretty much the same. I don't like the fact that I too had the experience of its seeming that the game would not allow me to proceed without buying or upgrading a certain powerup. But later on it seemed like it just wanted me to buy "something," and once I'd bought something else, it allowed me to proceed. That may have been because I'd spent too much money to allow for the other purchase, though.

XP3 is still giving me fits. Probably not enough memory for some newer games (altho Playrix' Royal Envoy: Campaign for the Crown is running fine...) Montezuma 2 is very slow to start, but once it does start, it's playing just fine. (I know, I know, there is an upgrade in my future, starting with a new computer!)

I LOVE the Montezuma series-Thanks! There was one minor problem but I managed to fix it. When it first starts, you are still using your windows cursor..which does NOT show up. In the Options, you CAN switch to the game cursor....once you do that, it'll be fine. But managing to hit the button is a bit tricky cause you can't see your windows cursor in order to change it to the game cursor. I just had to keep doing alt/tab with one hand while I was trying to put the mouse in the exact spot with the other hand to choose the game cursor in options. It's a bit tricky, but doable. I'm using Windows 7, Home Edition, 64-bit.

Why do we only get the 2nd sequel when the series is at #4? The 4th in the series has probably already improved on many things over this 2nd one. I hope we can get the 4th one or at least the 3rd one here an Game Giveaway.
Anyway if have not played this one, I think it is an improvement over the 1st one. Better balanced gameplay and nice new power-ups. Graphics seemed to have been improved and some new or updated sound effects. Now there is an adventure mode in which you can choose between a male or female lead character. I haven't played all the way through it yet, but it seems to be the same as the first one with just some improvements in gameplay, new/updated power-ups and character selection. It is the same old gameplay in which you play and gain coins(instead of stars) to buy power-ups to get further into the game. Now 3 modes of play; Beginner, Expert, Hard modes.

It's still a really fun game to play if you enjoyed the 1st one, but not much of an improvement. The new/updated power-ups may add some spice, but it is just the same gameplay experience as the last one.
I'm really pleased to have this one and grateful for it. It is a nice Christmas gift from GG & Alawar. Thank you very much and Merry Christmas to all.

Game installed without problems on a Win 8.1. A nice looking match3 game with the goal to collect the gems asap with the possibility to buy bonusstones. I do not like bonusstones flashing and trembling to get my attention, but perhaps that is a matter of taste. Music is a bit annoying.

Pros for falling - 1. somebody else gets to mow the yard and other work for awhile..

love the pro's. :) I'm thinking it's more like a bruise than a fracture. I've broken several ribs all on the left hand side (motorcycle accidents), I didn't hear any cracking when I fell, so its more likley to be bruised, so should heal a lot quicker. Will know for sure in a few days. :)
