Gardenscapes 2 takes the unique experience of the original Gardenscapes to a completely new level! The garden at the estate where Austin was born and grew up in is in a pitiful state. Rundown and neglected, it is waiting for you to come and restore it. Accompany Austin to the place of his childhood, meet his parents, and collect the old photos and other memorable things from his past.
The monarchy is at risk! Someone wearing a black cloak broke into the royal palace. The stranger was fearful and grim, and challenged the King's right to the throne. He accused the King of being unable to manage the kingdom, and demanded to be elected King himself! Help the King win the elections and defend the truth and justice in the kingdom.
Enjoy the ultimate Fishdom experience - it's better than ever! Now all your fish are in 3D and have their own personality. Feed them, play with them, and watch them interact with each other. Engage in challenging and fun match-3 gameplay with new unique twists, as you earn dozens of awards and achievements. Choose from over 150 underwater decor items and accessories in 8 unique themes. Plus, design as many tanks as you like. Hey, your finned friends are waiting for you - dive in!
Misfortune has befallen the magic kingdom again! A careless charm made the formerly wondrous ancient world overcast, beset with darkness and despair. Four fairies of the elements were deprived of their magic power. Be the hero the kingdom seeks: set the fairies of earth, air, fire and water free, and restore the book of magic!
Welcome back to Gardenscapes! Having restored the garden to its beauty and grandeur, it’s high time to have some guests over to show off! Thankfully, the mansion has a spacious hall for everyone to gather. The only problem is that the hall is in quite a dilapidated state: the wallpaper is curling and peeled, the fireplace cold and broken, and heaps of old newspapers lie scattered about. It’s time to roll up the old sleeves once more, and with the heroic assistance of Austin the butler, turn the hall into a masterpiece!
Good visuals & decent music -- Playrix usually has good quality games. One oddity though, which has never happened with one of their offerings: if you move the mouse, all animations stop until you stop moving. Move the pointer real slowly and the animations are jerky as if the mouse is taking major CPU.
I'm using the default (system pointer, not custom one) and have the current graphics driver FWIW. I might update the Logitech mouse driver, but the issue's not the end of the world; I just thought I'd pass it along in case the developer finds it useful. Thanks for being here, Playrix & GGOTD!

I had just started this game when my old computer died and I got a new one. Now I have more room and RAM for playing games, which is a relatively new experience for me - the games, not the computer. I'm a senior citizen with arthritis and nerve damage, so playing this type of game is really helpful to me (no,really - it is!) The graphics are beautiful, and I like the stress-free option of the relaxed mode. I also like some of the brief conversations between Princess Serena and 'handsome-prince-guy.' He rattles off some info to her, she asks him how he knows that, and he says something like,"Lucky guess?"
To those who get the 'corrupt file' message: that is a very unfortunate name given by the computer-world to files that simply did not download correctly. It's like making a call and getting a busy signal. Just hang up (or close your browser, then re-open) and try again.
Thanks GGAOTD for offering this game.

I really enjoy match-3 games, so I am sure I will like this. I find them both mindless pleasure and also find the need for some mind-bending strategies at higher levels in the good ones (I got permanently stuck on level 12-7 in Heroes of Hellas given away here and ended up giving up because I could get no higher without completing the level! Ditto with one of the higher levels in the one with the mysterious caves to explore, I forget the name but it was given away here in the last year or so.)
I couldn't see my cursor on Farm Frenzy. I had a hard time seeing it sometimes on a couple others like Fishdom, which I loved all through well over 120 levels, and hope you give away some of the follow-up versions. Based on somebody else's comment, I hope this isn't the case with this game. If it is, does anybody know why it happens, and what to do about it?
Downloading now. If I don't repost, it means I'm busy playing and enjoying it! If I have cursor problems, I will post again...
Thanks for the games!

W.r.t. the mouse pointer disappearing, right click on the games exe or shortcut to exe and select properties, then click on the compatibility tab. Check the run as admin box and experimant with the other boxes. If that doesn't fix the issue, try updating your graphics drivers. you need to find out what your graphics card manufacturer and model number is (or the graphics chip if you are using the motherboards onboard graphics chip). To do this, type dxdiag in the search box. This opens up the Direct X diagnostics panel. Open up the display tab and you should see your cards manufacturer and model number/name. Go to Google and type in the manufacturers name. It will usually be Nvidia or ATI/ASUS (used to be ATI, but they were bought by ASUS last year. It could also be intel or several other makes; however 80 to 90% of the market is held by the first two manufacturers. Once on the developers page look for a link to their driver section. Once found you'll need to select the card you are using or at least the model group, for example I use Nvidia cards. The latest models are 7's (eg Nvidia GTX 780's), so you'd select that group (i.e. 7) and then follow the prompts. If you are stuck, post a request for help in the giveaway forums. There's always a helpful person to answer any questions.

The Lost Kingdom Prophecy downloaded and installed nicely on my Dell HD 15" laptop; no problems noted when I played the first 4 match-three games and located the hidden objects. The music track could be a little longer or have several tracks. I love HOG games, but my eyesight is not so great, and the items in this game are big enough that I can see them without too much trouble. I like it that you have choice of hex or square gameboards, and a variety of ways in which to match three. This is a keeper! Thank you, Playrix, and Game Giveaway of the Day.

Hi Stephen,
Hope things are going well in your corner of the world. I missed out on last weekend's offerings since I was in the middle of the power outages due to weather in NC. We are also at 6 weeks of my husband being in the hospital, but hopefully moving into skilled nursing before getting home.
This game looks very very familiar, so I think I might have been playing it on one of our other computers a couple years ago. I don't remember any real complaints about it, but may have found it a bit challenging to complete some of the match-3 boards. I do recall playing around with the different tile layouts, which I agree is an interesting option. I also seem to recall being a bit baffled about how to use some of the objects which are collected; not sure how that ended.
Overall, I would consider this a "thumbs up" game, but since my husband usually does my downloading (he has some complicated process which I don't understand that probably has to due with some of the issues I've seen discussed in comments on these giveaways), I'll be missing out this time. Not like I've been spending any time lately playing games. I will continue to check out the GGOTD offerings, as I do appreciate the companies who provide us with these games and also your hard work in presenting them.
Best wishes to all,
Cara in NC

Hello Cara, sorry to hear your husband is in hospital. i hope he makes a speedy recovery. You can get this game for free 24/7 from Jenkat games (the bast place to get the free ones). Things are improving. Still got a lot of issues with our builder. He should have completed work back in September, but still havsn't fixed a lot of snags and also hasn't followed the building plans so, some alterations have to be made. Still on morphine, so am sleepy a lot of the time. The giveaway project has helped. :)

The music is a bit powerful, but can be turned off. Graphics are good, story fairly predictable, as is usual. But the game itself is a decent enough little time-waster, and not one of those that demands you spend the next three years of your life playing, so it's a keeper for me, I reckon.
I like a game that you can play for a few minutes while you're having a cup of tea, and then go back to what you're supposed to be doing without worrying about what the characters might be getting up to in your absence.
Oh, and it's always good to have a relaxed mode, especially for those of us who are getting on a bit. Our fingers aren't as nimble as those owned by youngsters like Whiterabbit!
So - all in all, a nice little offering today. Thanks to all at GGAOTD, and of course WR!

#4: "Does anybody know if there is a way to get the android offers without having an Android device (I mean just purchasing the apps, not running them)?"
You'll need something running the Android OS to run any of the Android apps. BlueStacks is the one Android emulator I'm aware of that will install & run in Windows.
That said, if you follow the links for say the featured Round2, you'll wind up at the Google Play store, where you can sign in, then click install, and that app will be added to your account -- you'll be given a chance to choose which Android device you want it installed on if you have more than one that have accessed that account. An Android device setup with the same account will then get the app installed automatically.
The better way IMHO, assuming you have an Android device or BlueStacks, is to install the GOTD app -- it has a lot more apps & games listed than what's on the GOTD Android page.

#5: "Have downloaded it twice, each time I try to open the setup file it says that its corrupted, get a new one. Any ideas please?"
#9: "Got this message when trying to install: “The set up files are corrupted. Please obtain a new copy of the program.”"
Please check the FAQs & the forum... One possibility is security software interfering -- security software is constantly updated, and it could be that it behaves differently than in the past. One of the forum members posted very recently that Kaspersky interfered unless they right clicked the GCD file "and lift the blockage.".

Nicely done Match 3 game. One of the biggest complaints in Hog's or Match 3 games seems to be Timed Mode only play. This game offers an Untimed mode for those that like to kick back and relax.
In addition to the normal 3 game play modes;(swap, chain, and group);it offers a fourth that I've never seen. It's call the Change Mechanic(mode). It allows you to change any tile on the board to the given one on the cursor to form matches of 3 or more tiles.
There is also an option called Game Geometry that allows you to change the shape of the tiles.
The music adds to the atmosphere of the game, without becoming annoying.
There are some nice Powerups available to give you a little extra assistance;especially when you are in Timed Mode.
Lastly, there is a sprinkling of Hidden Object scenes in the game.
Thanks Playrix,White Rabbit and the Giveaway team for another fun game.

I had lost this game due to having to replace my hard drive last year and am happy to have it back. It's a good game for when I need to unwind a bit, and the relaxed mode is perfect. It installed without a hitch in my Win7/64 system with no red flags from my anti-virus or malware programs. I know not everyone likes the same types of games, but that doesn't make this a bad one, just not everybody's cup of tea. Thanks Playrix and GGOTD for offering this one again.

Thank you! what a fun little game. a nice way to pass the time. especially liked the choice of game play for making matches. I'm sure my granddaughter will like this too as she loves finding 'parts' of hidden objects. nice graphics; music is pleasant; story is fine; powerups are fun and easily earned.

Downloaded and installed with no issues. A combination of hidden object and match three (the latter parts much like the recently offered "Heroes of Hellas" in that you make as long a string as possible ..btw, "Heroes of Hellas" is a quite addictive game), I especially like that you are offered options of casual or timed play. Graphics aren't spectacular and music is generic but fitting the "story" (and you have volume controls for music and effects). My only complaint, a minor one at that, is that it requires a bit of clicking to get through the dialog stages between levels. All in all, this one's a keeper. Thanks Playrix and GAOTD.

Does anybody know if there is a way to get the android offers without having an Android device (I mean just purchasing the apps, not running them)?
At the page of the GOTD program of the 14th there was a link to a game called "Yargis". The first paragraph of the "about" page (http://www.yargis.com/Yargis/About.aspx):
"Yargis is a blending of old and new concepts in gaming. It is reminiscent of the games played on quarter arcade machines with its Asteroid-like mechanics and top down view, yet it also posseses 3D graphics and gravity physics found in modern games. It is family friendly, but also fun for all. It has a thrilling and witty solo campaign that compliments multiplayer mode with rewards such as upgradeable and interchangable ship parts. Multiplayer also supports user-generated maps that can be shared with everyone, allowing for even more non-stop fun."

Introduction
Reference accessed HERE 9th March 2011
If you miss The Lost Kingdom Prophecy via the gamegiveaway today, you can get it 24/7 from all of the well known free sites such as MyPlayCity, Jenkat Games, Gametop and FreeGamePick . Please do remember that most of these sites will try their best to install toolbars, change your home page to one that suites their purpose and even change your search engine. All are of course reversible, but still an annoyance. Also, whenever you play one of the games downloaded from these sites, it always opens up to the site on closing the game down. The reason for all of these annoyances is because the sites such as MyPlayCity have to pay the developers a premium for allowing us to get them for free. Whenever you play the game and then turn it off the site is paid a small sum of money for you visiting the site, plus, if you end up with tool bars and the other annoyances, the site earns cash from those as well. Technically these games aren’t free.
The Game:
Most of the descriptions of The Lost Kingdom Prophecy peg it as being a hidden object game, but that’s only partially true. For the most part it’s a match-three game. And while it features a few interesting features, it’s about as exciting as you’d expect from a title that combines the two most ubiquitous genres in casual gaming and is set in a generic fantasy world.
The game is set in the Kingdom of Rosefall, where the combination of an evil wizard named Balaak and an ancient prophecy are threatening to to destroy the kingdom for good. The god-like Elementals have abandoned Rosefall and it’s up to Princess Serena to bring them back and save the day. Or something like that. The story’s pretty vague and poorly written and features all of the staples of a by-the-numbers sword and sorcery fantasy epic. It’s hard to care much about what happens, and none of the characters are given enough depth for you to get attached to them.
What the story does do, though, is provide a reason for you to find lots and lots of objects, which somehow will make the Elementals return. The game is divided into several chapters, each of which is bookended by a HOG stage. These stages have you finding pieces of objects and then figuring out where to put them once you’ve completed them. Some objects can only be found once you’ve placed another one, but for the most part these scenes are pretty easy. The objects aren’t hard to find and the hint system recharges in the blink of an eye.
The HOG scenes are also pretty rare. Most of your time will be spent in match-three mode. These sections are very similar to the Fishdom games, as each grid features a number of colored tiles and the goal is to clear them away by matching objects on top of them. Once all that’s done you’ll then have to clear one additional single line of tiles in order to bring a piece of one of the coveted items to the bottom of the screen. There are also the usual obstacles, like tiles that need to be cleared multiple times and chains that need to be broken, and you’ll also have access to a variety of spells. From bombs that blow away obstacles and a flying phoenix that douses the screen with fire, the spells available are all very useful, though with only four, a little more variety would be nice.
And that’s the main issue with the game: the lack of variety. Even with two distinctly different game modes -- HOG and match-three -- it feels like you’re just doing the same thing over and over again. All of the spells are learned in the first few stages, and it doesn’t take long before you’ve come across all of the different obstacles. It would’ve been nice if there were a few more gameplay twists, and if they were introduced a little more gradually.
The one saving grace is the high level of customization Lost Kingdom offers you. You can completely adjust the match-three game, which allows you to both keep switching things up for variety or find the mode that works best for you and stick with it. You can pick the grid type (rectangle or hexagon) and choose from four different styles of matching. They range from traditional Bejeweled-style gem swapping to selecting tiles simply by dragging your mouse across groups of three or more. Some are more challenging than others, but no matter which way you play the game is pretty generous with the way it drops new tiles. It doesn’t take too much effort to pull off massive, screen-clearing combos.
But as great as the match-three customization is, it would’ve been much better if it were a part of a more interesting game. There’s far too little variety in the gameplay, not enough HOG scenes, and the story and setting are generic at the best of times, and downright boring at the worst. There may be close to 200 stages in the game, but chances are you’ll be tired of the game long before then.

You can see around 30 images
Music::
There’s no way to replace the games music unless you are an expert in coding. You can turn the music off via the options menu if it annoys you.
Conclusion:
Todays game is a match 3 game with Hidden object elements, it has decent customization options, but the hidden object stages are limited. It would have been nice to see more variation with mini games etc.
