This game is Frustrating as hell, even in the Relaxed mode ... it must have BUGS in it. The first phase, the darn last 2 Hidden
Objects I must have asked for the hint 10 times and the Hint points to the same location and I clicked it 50 times and Nothing ... so can someone tell me if the Game is Broken or what!?!?

The games are supposed to be played to RELAX oneself and NOT to Frustrate the carp out of you. 10 Thumbs Down. Waste of a Game!

I've been playing this game since I downloaded it on Sunday. It's very addictive. One annoying bug: if I've left Outlook open and I receive a message, the game bounces me out and when I click on the icon again to resume I'm in the pause mode with no way to un-pause and the escape key doesn't work. There's nothing to do then but reboot the computer.

Thanks for a great game! I thoroughly enjoyed it but only because I played in relaxed mode. No way could I have completed it in timed. (LOL) Graphics are beautiful and found that I actually enjoyed the hidden object part of the game more than the match 3 although being able to choose game mechanics made it more enjoyable than a lot of match 3's.

I do have a question, though. I finished 96 levels and watched the ending cut scenes. At the end of that, there was a pop-up that said there were more levels and if I played, the levels I already played would be marked with a green check mark. I exited at that point and when I came back in, the game started all over with the opening cut scenes, the first hidden object scene and when I got to the map, there were no green check marks. The level that it selected said it was level 1. Did I miss something?

Rabbit, thanks for the clarifications/corrections. I DL'd & installed just before the giveaway ended, and I like the Relaxed Mode, and the many options for different game mechanics.

The dark game pieces are hard to see/distinguish against the dark game board, and so are the Hidden Objects; I'd probably never get thru those levels without using hints!

Okay, I just installed this. Only the first level and already I'm stuck. There's a missing piece, I asked for a hint, and have spent the last five minutes clicking over and over in the spot it showed me. There's nothing there. I've clicked pretty much every pixel in that circle and nothing. Not gonna continue this. Waste of time.

Installed easily and plays well....the only thing that i would have the developers change is: In most timed games - as your time begins to run low - the music / sound will change to let you know that you are running short on time. This game doesn't give any indication that your time is about to end and twice i "died" never realizing that i was close to the time limit. I could keep glancing over to check the time but as you get involved in the game you fail to realize that your time is just about out when you get the notification that your time is expired.
Other than that it is a great game...Thanks !!

Downloaded and installed without any issues on my Win 7 64 bit laptop. Have been playing it for a few hours and found no bugs at all. I like how there are different options to choose from for game play. Gives you an change from the normal and breaks up the monotony that often comes from this type of game. I have also not had any "flickering" when the game is running. An enjoyable game if you like this type.

I've always noticed people posting they have issues with downloading and installing. It seems most refuse to read the instructions and previously posted information before downloading. There is clearly links given to help as well as other posts that could be read and be of help. That being the case here are a few obvious tips to try BEFORE posting you can't get it to work:

1) Corrupt download or Corrupt Archive - download the file again. Most likely there was an issue with your connection or the server. Sometimes even the best and fastest connections get a "hiccup".

2) Install issues - RIGHT CLICK on the install file. Select RUN AS ADMIN and click. It DOES NOT matter if you are using an admin account or not. RIGHT CLICK the file itself as stated.

Once installed UNCHECK the box to run the game before installer closes.

AFTER the installer closes and the ggotd web page pops up confirming installation and activation then attempt to start the game. Taking these steps before running the game usually fixes the previous problems you had.

3) Should you still have issues check your screen resolution.

4) Make sure you are NOT running several programs at once. That means EXIT out / CLOSE UN-needed programs. Especially those that are graphic intense programs.

5) RESTART your computer. Especially if you haven't in a while. Then try the game again.

6)If running an older machine your graphics drivers may need updated if you constantly have issues with running games and playing them.

Thanks Whiterabbit, ggotd, and Playrix for today's free game! Have a great week!

I've downloaded quite a few Playrix games. This one felt clunky. The play didn't seem to flow. I liked the relaxed mode and that they are trying to make this more interesting after the many years of match 3. But there is just something missing or perhaps added that has this game missing the standard that I see in the fishdom games. I hope that they figure out that ingredient gone wrong. I like Playrix games.

..............................Moderator Comment...............................

Thans for your feedback. I think the clunkiness is partly to do with the story board and the tiles sets.

I have been playing the relaxed mode for a couple of hours and am quite relaxed :) Must have missed the other game a week or so back so this one is basically new for me. I have others that drag for chains but not in hexes! This one can get pretty wild with long chains. I like it. So easy to play in relaxed mode that even an adult can enjoy the game play....and make dinner at the same time! Thanks :)

I have win xp sp3 broadband and zero problems whatsoever installing or playing this game. I really enjoy the hidden object search games but not the match game that goes with it. The graphics are good and everything plays well. I am just not a match game player. Not sure how to rate this game. For the hidden objects i give thumbs up but for the match game thumbs down. I guess take your pick :) :(

For the people that can`t seem to download try downloading onto a zip drive then installing into a folder in your C: Drive. Easy easy easy with no problems.

I downloaded last week's game but had to leave and didn't get it installed in time. :( So - I was glad to see this one today. After I got it installed, I realized I had played it before and liked it.This is a nice game, a little different take on the ole Match3 and options for game play. Greatly appreciated Playrix and thanks WhiteRabbit. You are appreciated too. :)

Thanks Kalmly :D

You can find last weeks game available over at MyPlayCity (MPC). Do remember to uncheck any checkboxes during installation of any MPC game to ensure you don't get toolbars installed or your home page changed. Providing you follow those simple rules MPC games are fine. There's almost 140 Time Management games available now from MPC and as many HOG's and Match three games.

Last weeks game can be found via the following link:

Check the FaQ's section over in the game discussion forums. I've linked to it above in answer to Susannes query. Basically try using a differnt archiver. I've listed several with links in the FAQ's section. Alternatively if that doesn't work try redownloading the game.

Works fine on W7 64bit. As others have mentioned there really needs to be a 'skip' button for the dialogue, especially if the game is to be replayable. I love Hidden Objects but not Hidden Hunks of Objects which seem to be very popular in recent Playrix offerings. I have often just waited for the hints in order to complete these levels. For anyone whose vision isn't the best these become very tedious. OTOH I love relaxed mode and being able to chose the form of play. I had downloaded Lost Inca but got too busy to even try it so this reminded me.

Thanks to GGAOTD and Playrix... I expect to have lots of fun with both these games.

i downloaded "The Lost Kingdom Prophy" and i don't know a lot about computers and i can't find the game. Could you please tell me how to get to the game?
Thanks for your help on this.

.........................Moderator comment......................

There's two easy ways of doing this. either reinstall it making a note of where its installed to so that you can then create a desktop shortcut (though you should get a tick box appearing during installation that asks wheter you want a desktop shortcut. Make sure its checked)

Use the search engine to find where the game is. Type in LostKingdomProphecy.exe (with no spaces)

Downloaded - installed - started - works fine.

Whoever said he / she is still on the other game: I don't even finished the Wild Western one as I play many games together - not only one and then the next ;-)

Thanks for another future fun for free!

..........................Moderator comment.......................

I rarely finish any game; and, like you play a whole series of games in tandem. It depends on the mood I'm in. I'm still playing games I purchased 20 years ago (Darklands 1992) and more recent games (though still considered old) such as Men of Valor (2004), Vietcong (2002), Battlefield 2 (2005) and only yesterday I played through several levels of the original Doom (1993). (Though it was via the enhanced version that was released the other day on Steam). One arcade game I still play (via DOSBox) called Squarez, which is a brilliant offshoot of tetris with power ups

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=08sfayp2W9M

The above video doesn't do justice to the game. you can get Squarez via the following link:

I'm a bit confused....it installed as a *my play city* game which is free anyways - all their games are free. What am I missing?

.........................Moderator comment........................

I can only assume you already had the MyPlayCity (MPC) version installed previously. If you installed to the same place there would still be MPC files left in the game folder. I can assure you the giveaway version is not the MPC version.

I would suggest you ensure all traces of the game are first deleted. Check the registry for entries as well..

If you've never edited the registry before I suggest you first create a restore point then open up the registry editor. You can do this by typing regedit in the search field. When the editor is open lick on edit and from the drop down menu click on find. The type in your search parameters i.e. Lost Kingdom Prophecy and MyPlayCity. When using MPC make sure its associated with the prophecy game. delete all entries associated with the game. To move on to the next entry press F3. Make sure when you start the search that you start from the top of the registry by clicking on the computer icon.

Once you've deleted everything reinstall the giveaway version. you should find it is the Playrix version with no mention of MPC. ;-)

DH and I installed on respective laptops running Win7 64bit and it plays nicely. Same old, same old storyline (I guess I'm just not the 'gamer' type...but DH is) but what we both REALLY like is the ability to change the different modes and timed/untimed.
Thanks GGOTD, this one will get played often.

I feel it is incorrectly labelled and should be a match 3 game. Graphics are very good though and if you like match 3 games would be a definite keeper. I am disappointed that it is not the hidden object genre I enjoy and will keep an eye out for future games for sure from GOTD. Thanks for your never ending work on the site. We all appreciate it very much.

...................................Moderator comment...........................

Thank you for your feedback Chris, I agree with you on the genre labelling. I see this as a match three not a HOG. The HOG part of the game only seems like a mini game.

Just like last weeks game, this one I find addictive. I especially like not being timed, and as in last week's game, I really like being able to change the metrics. Changing the mechanics changes the dynamics of the game and keeps me going long after I had planned to quit. I hope game developers add this feature to more games.

Downloaded and played well on this 9 yr old laptop with Win XP SP3. I like this one better than the Inca, really can't put my finger on why. Played two modes on Inca to the end then deleted. The only suggestion I have is one I haven't seen offered on this type of game (it may be out there I just haven't come across it). You have 5 different tiles on the playing boards. Along with the other mechanics it would be nice to be able to choose which five tiles you would like to use on the game. I find the bottle, rubies and stars the easiest to see with the dark background of the playing board. The shield would give me a problem if I was using the swap feature, because they are hard for me to see. Not a biggie just an observation. Someone mentioned having 14 as the largest group, I had a 31 on one of the first few boards. I didn't work for it, just happened! LOL

Nothing special here but I do love Playrix games so I installed on XP desktop to test and now will install on Win 7 laptop as I did not do so with last one. As already mentioned it's very similar to Lost Inca Prophecy. What's nice about both games is the ability to alter the play slightly by varying the clicks or tile shapes. This one is a little harder to see on a dimmed screen because it has a lot of brown on brown or black on black so maybe not as good as "Inca" when you're running on battery and/or in a dimly lit environment. What's not so great is having to click through the dumb dialogue between game plays. Adding a "Skip" button would really improve the game.

Also, I think I've mentioned this before but for anybody running Norton please temporarily disable it as Sonar will prevent install.

Playrix has so many enjoyable games that became favorites I'm hoping they will repeat the giveaways of some of the Fishdoms, Royal Envoy, etc. as I lost them all with a disk crash and would love them back.

As always, thanks to developers and GGOTD and thanks Stephen for doing a yeoman's job on a volunteer basis.

Well, I see that they have started out with the custom cursor this time. I commented on a previous game about not being able to see the cursor to choose options to change to custom cursor. It's nice to see that changed. They still for an unexplainable reason will not allow names with just two characters. And the game is designed for a 4x3 aspect ratio screen rather than the more common 16x9. Also if you play in windowed mode the window is not re-sizable. I quit after the introductory level but will play again later today. It's a keeper but probably not a $20 game (at least for me).

Fine on Win 7 x64 Ultimate. Matches with Inca sure but worth another go for fans given Timed option. Did have a bit of a stall on initial part of Find Object. Hint seemed to point to a spot dif from where the solved sub piece was supposed to go. Finally got the coiled rings to go around the cone shape at eagle's base. Hint kept showing the left most pillar in water but that was were a sub piece had been.
Stopped after solving that first part to post here since fig rest is like Inca. Thanks a heapo for another fun selection. Those keeping me off the frustrations of shooters (w/o trainers). Prefer this side of gray matter. Enjoying Indian Summer.

Installed A-OK on Vista x64. Things I found the first few seconds that

I did Not like these:
1) No Skip Intro Button.
2) The Hidden Objects do Not make sense to me ... or are not reasonably identifiable. Or may be it is just me.

I liked:
1) The choice of "Relaxed" or "Timed" version option.

Thanks!

If this title is functionally identical to the Lost Inca Prophecy, there's one thing I know to expect: a plot that makes no sense and a delivery that makes one's brain hurt to try and follow.

But then, most match-three and hidden-object games are saddled with abysmal stories.

I'm still working may way through the Inca one, so I have to agree that it's a little too soon after the last one.

This game does seem to offer one additional game mechanic, but otherwise it's basically the same gameplay. It would be nice if there were more powerups because matching all the time gets dull.

I haven't gotten to the match 3 portion of the game yet. Installed no problems .. went through the 20 clicks of story to get to the game - really need an opt out of that and found - to my surprise a hidden object game.
I'm not a fan of hidden object games but played it to get to the match 3 section - had to use alt/tab to get to another window for a moment - and turn my computers mute button off - now the game is stuck on paused - no where to click to unpause.
my feedback - before actual game play
too much other crap to deal with before the match 3 game begins - and being restricted to ONLY playing the game by locked out with paused play .. I may not get to the game.

It's labelled Hidden Object game in the description, but it's mostly a match-3 (with variations as described above) with some HOG elements. I like the graphics. I don't like the fact that in the match-3 parts, once you pick up an element, you can't drop it normally (unlike other Playrix games), you either have to match it wrongly or figure out by trial and error that you can right-click and drop it this way. In the HOG part, I was surprised that I have to gather some elements together, put them "back" in one piece into some place in the screen (have to figure out where they fit) and only then some other elements become possible to collect, even if they had been visible before. I'm not an experienced HOG player, though, so maybe it's normal. My favorite feature is the ability to change the match-3-or-more rules, where I can draw a line across all adjacent objects, even if they don't form a straight line. My longest match was 14, which in a traditional match-3 is mathematically impossible. I'm not sure I'll ever play any other "regular" match-3 game. Thumbs up!!!

I really enjoy playing "The Lost Inca Prophesy" that I downloaded a couple of weeks ago, and now it looks like I have a second exact type of game to enjoy and relax to. Just like the first one, this game downloaded just fine for me, and the graphics are nice and bright. I enjoy this sort of game that has a bit of "Hidden Object" included in it. The only difference that I noticed about this one is that the instructions are not quite as clear when you get to the first hexagon, and you have to make matches to clear the tiles. I understood what to do since I play "The Lost Inca Prophesy," however a first time player might not catch on very quickly. It would just be nice if they made the instructions a little clearer, or even worked the first combination with the player. I also like the fact, that like the Inca game, this one also has different modes of play you can choose from, so if you are not into something that is timed you can just relax and really take your time trying to come up with long chains for the power-ups. So, I want to say thanks to GGOTD, and the game developer, for another great game that was easy to download, install, tons of fun to play!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! STORM

Match3 and HOG combos are some of my most favorite games. especially when they let you play without the added frustration and aggravation of timers!

Hi Stephen, I won't be downloading this one, as I'm a bit match 3/HOG and Wheemplayed out lately, but thanks anyway. I just wanted to ask a couple of questions though, if you don't mind (I did ask some months ago, but received no reply).

I noticed yesterday that you were lamenting the <0.1% feedback rate and I wanted to ask if all feedback is sent back to the developers and when. Only feedback/comments received the same day appear to be read and responded to, is feedback sent on at the end of each Sunday and subsequent comments disregarded? I often find my opinion may change and that I will have much more useful feedback the following day or even week, than the same day.

Thanks.

Hi Andy, sorry if I didn't respond previously, my memory is appalling these days (partly because of the opiates). All comments are checked and if appropriate responded to, even those posted later in the week by those community members who've managed to play the game for an extended period so probably have more to contribute.

As for whether these comments are then passed on to the developer; I really don't know. I'm just a community member like yourself. I volunteered to moderate back in 2008 when it was obvious the weekend comments seemed to be dying a sad death (partly because they were only being moderated a couple of times a day and whoever moderated never answered questions put by the community). That's the extent of my affiliation to the giveaway project. I have no say in anything apart from being able to delete or modify users comments if they are deemed to be inappropriate.

Although I can't say for sure, I do think most developers would at least look at the feedback as this can be a valuable commodity. We used to see a developer regularly (last time was last year) who gave away a couple of games that were repeated several times and it was obvious that they had taken account of the feedback given here. As for later entry feedback again I can't say for sure.

I would presume the giveaway team would mention the feedback potential to developers who contribute to the project.

Would you check the feedback if you had given a game away on such a project as this? I know I would as I'd see the feedback as a way of improving my games and thus make them more saleable. ;-)

#2 Stephen: I get a blank shot for a couple seconds for the first, then it shows up. I have a DSL connection. Try giving it a minute or so if you're using dial-up.
