Whiterabbit-uk, I hope you had a wonderful day yesterday and enjoy the rest of the holidays.
I wanted to give a massive thumbs-up to System Shock, I have the original game, from when it was released, and also this version on Steam. It was way ahead of its time and if you don't mind the retro graphics it is still hugely fun to play. I even like the music lol! Advice, use the wrench as much as you can, you'll need that ammo later.

Harri,
Yes, a brilliant game. They removed the original from Steam when the enhanced edition was released several years ago.
I had a spare key from a bundle.

Today's platformer borrows from many elements of yesterdays games. You have to collect key cards, go through doors to figure a way out and backtrack and so forth. You have an ammo counter and you have to sparingly use them to defeat the enemies
I found the game easy to play although in order to really get the hang of the game I ended up using the right control button to shoot even though you can use the left control one if you want it just feels awkward.
One thing this game could use is a volume control in game. I found the voices of the enemies when you defeat them too loud an also the sound of the gunshots a bit too loud. Yes I was able to control the volume myself by turning down my speakers to an acceptable level but I have other notifications in the background I need to monitor for if I hear them come in so I could minimize the game and check on them.
It's otherwise just a simple 8 bit style platformer inspired by many games with basic challenges to try and get out of the room but I'd look for other platformers to entertain yourself if retro is what you like. FYI this game really needs controller support :)
