gamer,

Not sure if this will help, but here is a video walkthrough:

I finished this one pretty quickly and have already played another, so I've already forgotten some of the details. :-)

Hi!
The game downloaded easily and opened quickly. Game play is smooth and moves along
pretty quick. The hogs are easy and graphics are good! Maybe some animation or more interaction
to perk it up, but a good game! Thank you and have a very Happy New Year all! Lee

I'm enjoying the game. It's creepy and interesting. There's a strong sense of menace. Hidden objects are hard enough and don't have any objects so obscure that they're unfindable.

There's a map, that I very much appreciate, but there's no "teleport" feature to move from one place to a distant one. This requires a LOT of grinding over very familiar territory to move from quest to quest. I'm getting tired of all of the uninteresting and unnecessary traveling. That is my only peeve so far with this game.

Looks good Windows 10 x64 Pro. Nice graphics, creepy setting, just played the casual mode (expert) to get early feel. Hints seem ok in that, maybe time delay & penalty for over clicking in expert as most of these do. So though nice keeper. Full screen for now hoping don't run into any aspect issues as mentioned in comment. Thanks GOTD & have a great Happy...

D/l'd, installed and playing fine on Win 8.1 wide screen; so far no resolution issues. Enjoyable adventure game with a nice mix of HOGs and puzzles to solve, which I really like. Music is unobtrusive. The items are fairly easy to find and the puzzles not too challenging so far. A nice way to spend a snowy/rainy weekend day! Thanks.

i am so tired of downloading these games just to have to turn around and uninstall them, they all work as long as you DON'T use fullscreen mode! in full screen mode i have a bunch of distortion running across the screen of the game, no way can i play a game with that happening. i have ample computer size, space and all up to date can anyone tell me why this is happening? i have fussed with screen resilutions and still no help! has anyone else had this problem? also i have windows 10 with all recent updates.

mary, did you try selecting/unselecting the Aspect Ratio checkbox in Options?

Reply   |   Comment by Cad Delworth  –  5 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+3)

mary johnson, I never have problems with any of these games in full screen. I'm running windows 10 but with very basic configurations. I'm on a 17" laptop configured to 1600 x 900. It sounds like you have something else installed on your machine that is interfering with the game. Are you playing the game after a clean boot? If you have had other programs open before playing you might have something that is still 'open'. Not all programs are good at closing all their files which makes a clean boot necessary at times. :-)

mary johnson, Here there is no problem on a 1920*1080
Do have a "normal" desktop?
What I mean: are the icons 100% or 150% Sort of magnified:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4028566/windows-10-change-the-size-of-text
or:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4026956/windows-10-change-screen-resolution
If that will not help, play it windowed and resize it yourself to almost the whole screen. Not 100%, not maximized. Just with a small border.

Reply   |   Comment by Ootje  –  5 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (0)

mary johnson,
Try right-clicking on the desktop icon, then left click on properties. Next left click compatibility. Put a check mark in the "Override the high DPI scaling behavior." Then left click on "Apply". Then "Ok", you can then close the properties window. Now the game should run as intended. I have to do this from time to time, my graphics card doesn't always like the game settings from here but I can almost always get them to run this way if I have a problem! Good Luck!

Hi!

I can't get it - this game is free apart of any giveaways. It is said on the game page (follow the link): "This game is brought to you by our sponsors. It is always free. NO TIME LIMITS!" It's so every time I check the other GOTD Myplaycity games giveaways. What's the point of these "giveaways"? To place a bunch of ad shortcats on desktop? ;)

But thanks anyway! MC and HNY!

Boris, the versions on MPC's own pages will try to "semi-hijack" your browser: the versions we get from GGOTD do not. True, the GGOTD versions of the games still (typically) open an MPC Web page when you exit the game, and yes they put shortcuts on your desktop (and in your Start Menu) but those are easily deleted and if that's the limit of their "intrusion" then I 'm very happy to get such great games for free!
And it is possible to stop the "go to MPC" behaviour when you exit a game if you know what you're doing … ;)

Reply   |   Comment by Cad Delworth  –  5 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+3)

Cad Delworth, sorry but I've never encountered "go to MPC behaviour when you exit a game" with GOTD versions - it always happens just once after installation. And it is not the answer to my question which is the same - what's the sense of "giveaway" of a free game? Will you be not so happy to get such great games for free on MPC? I tried MPC original version and didn't find any signs of "semi-hijacking of my browser". It is just the same free version - only without placing a bunch of ad shortcats on desktop. But thank you for your answer ;)

The game is screwed up! I got as far as finding all the hidden objects after clicking on the bed but somehow it took me back to the hidden objects list again. After clicking on all the objects again I clicked on the picture frame with the Mona Lisa in it and it disappeared but it was still listed to be found. So I tried clicking on the second Mona Lisa picture where the hint told me to in the middle of the scene but nothing happens and it is frozen there. I managed to get out of the scene but the list is still at the bottom of the screen and the picture is still listed and I can't re-enter the bed scene where the picture is located and I can't get to the objects found because of the other box covering it up.

Ron Dunn, maybe if you try to go to the options and change your full screen, with me it worked

Reply   |   Comment by grootviske  –  5 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+6)

Ron Dunn, If you have a 16:9 (or 14:9) aspect ratio monitor, try check the Aspect Ratio checkbox. The game seems to be written gor 4:3 (old) aspect ratio.
I had a similar problem with a recent game here and running it in its intended aspect ratio in a window (not full screen) got me past a point where that game totally locked up!

Ron Dunn, Did you put the Mona Lisa in the frame at the bottom right of the screen?

Thanks, everyone, I shut down the game & re-started it and it was fine, has worked great ever since!

..................................Moderator comment.....................................

I may not have time to write a review for today's game. My backup Steam account was hacked yesterday and it's possible I may have a key logger installed to this computer, which means the culprit could possibly break through the security I have on both my Steam accounts as well as my MMO account name. My main Steam account has over 400 games, some worth £30 or more stored in the inventory which I'd been keeping to give away as gifts etc as well as thousands of trading cards and other saleable items. The games alone are probably worth a few thousand at the very least, so if the hacker manages to break into my main account I'll lose everything. As yet I've not inputted any passwords since this happened, but when I shut down for the night, tomorrow I'll have to sign into my desktop, which could be an issue if the keylogger is active. So I've decided to format my main disk in the morning, then reinstall Windows. With other things to do, it''ll take me several hours to reinstall the programs I use regularly. Once that has been accomplished I'll see if it's still worth posting a short review. Moderation will be delayed until the evening.

Regards
Whiterabbit-uk

Whiterabbit-uk, very bad luck, it will cost a lot of time instead of just doing what you want to do at your own time.

"format my main disk in the morning, then reinstall Windows"
A few months ago you had also to reformat your PC.
Did you consider to make a backup or image of the basic's and also of a complete system?
I recover sometime Windows/Data from other people and make several images, before and after reapairing, with an USB-image program like Clonezilla, Macrium Reflect or Ashampoo Backup 2018(GOTD of dec 15) and of course an usb-HD.
A few months ago I had luck; After an image and reinstall a new Win10 the screen was still wrong in just one program, but important to the owner. After a long search I added/replaced the graphic-card and all was good. After that I restore the original image and returned the PC.

Whiterabbit-uk, Long time lurker and down-loader, but most appreciative of what you bring to the table. So, Thank You very much for all that you do. If you are not familiar with anti-keyloggers, you should at least look at ZEMANA's offering: https://www.zemana.com/antilogger . I am not affiliated with them or a 3rd Party reseller of their apps in any way, shape, fashion or form. I have used the Zemana app and have been satisfied.
