When I opened the store, it asks me if I want to buy it for $2.49. This is probably because I'm not in the US.

I had no problem getting it for free, although while I'm in Canada I was apparently using the US store.

I normally don't check this site on a weekday so I wasn't expecting to find anything. I do like the idea of using more sources than just MPC but I wouldn't want to see any pay-to-play-on games.
The game is a little hard to judge since it's meant for kids. One thing I did notice is that it has to be played with the voices on. There's pages where there's items to select and there's no text for the questions, which don't happen to be related to the story. My guess is that they're assuming the kids are going to be playing it and needing the assistance, or at least playing it with an adult, but the voices could get annoying after a while.
There's also a point in the game where the game requires one to use a microphone. But not all PCs have them installed. If you don't allow the game access to the mic it freezes.
There also appears to be no save feature, so if you leave the game you have to restart from the beginning.
