This game seems to have put some spyware/adware on my computer. Has anyone else been experiencing problems since they downloaded this game? It worked fine until I ran a couple of virus scans on my computer and had the problems fixed, and now the game won't run at all, probably because there was some spyware or adware involved during the installation of this game. I'm just wondering if anybody else has had these same problems since installing this game, because I think this is what has been causing my computer to act very strangely since I installed it.

um... Tom, WHy do you think GAOTD put this "Comments Section" in here? lol. Its to get user feedback whether good or BAD. They use this feedback to not only determine what GAOTD's members like/want, but this feedback also in turn goes to the vendor of the product. Stop pouncing on the people who dont like this game or are upset because GAOTD offered this one just after offering the newer version. Please keep in mind that everyone has different opinions.

A good tetris clone with lotsa bells and whistles, nice backgrounds, music is a bit cheesy, replace your own midi files in the music folder or play your own audio cd. only hitch on install was the shortcut on desktop pointed to a file that didnt exist. TO MAKE THE GAME FUN --> go into options select extreme mode, I rate this game an 8 out of 10

Installed and couldn't find it. Installed again. Still couldn't find it so resorted to the SEARCH for the computer - finally showed up and I tried it out. 5000 is somewhat better. But this is playable and nice - not great - but a good way to pass 10 minutes or so. It had a pretty good background. Are there bombs are anything in this one to help get rid of the black shapes? The peanut gallery gave mixed reviews. :) It's Tetris. That says about everything.

And to 31/41, there are PLENTY of sites where you can get free COMPLETE games. For one, gamehippo.com offers thousands of freeware games, some of which are infinitely better than anything posted here at GOATD.

I do like what the GOATD folks are doing, but that doesn't mean I have to like the games. Get over it.

Many - almost too many options - for sound,visuals and game effects. Surprisingly pleasant variety of music with recognizable songs. Really, the only thing I didn't like was the 13 (thirteen!) links to the wallpaper and screensaver website in the download file. It played just fine after deleting every one of those links.

It's just not my favorite type of game, never has been. But gee, I thank Elefun Multimedia/Softela for partnering with Game Giveaway of the Day and giving me the choice to download Tetpic 4000 for free and play it for a while anyway. With all the terrific games GGotD gives me, I try most of them at least once if there aren't too many (intelligent) negative comments about how the software affects folks computers.

Oh, and thanks for the complete Uninstall file also.

another tetrus wannabe...cute...had trouble getting the desktop short cut to work, but besides for that, easy set up.

Thanks GOTD for offering both Tetpic versions. As I see it, one is good for someone with fast download connection and a fast procesor. The other is good for someone like myself, with 26,400bps dial-up and 466 processor. I've acquired some real winners from GOTD, and passed on those I don't want - but I don't feel I need to bitch about it. Just check again tomorrow!

Very well put #31. I wish GAOTD. would just ban these clowns at their IP. address. Seems as a person/s can't even give away "FREE" software without a cry baby. Sickening isn't it ? but yet they go out of there way to post about how disappointed they are over "FREE" software. Talk about a miserable no life individuals. But yet there here, day after day crying until they get what they want.
To the cry babies that will tell everyone, oh you can get so and so game or whatever from so and so website are the one screwing up their computers with scumware, viruses, Trojans etc. Not to mention the hijack this logs I look over to help people like the cry babies here that swear they can get better free games then they get here. Note to you daily complainers. Just leave, go to your free game websites and infect your computer/s.

Obviously, the game-makers are running out of new ideas! How about this: Make a PACMAN running through a maze made up of falling TETRIS pieces that you have to break with a BALL-and-PADDLE or knock into a THREE-OF-A-KIND-IN-A-ROW while learning all about ancient EGYPT.

I don't know. Even this great, new idea has something oddly familiar about it. :)

The 5000 version recently offered wasn't good IMO, so no go for this one.

A bit of a dud. Installed OK but it didn't create a menu item, when I ran it from its folder it ran once but locked up at the score stage. Play is about the same as Tetpic 5000 but the occasional extra-large blocks are less challenging. It doesn't seem to be possible to change the default sound settings. Like the earlier Tetpic the only control options are the four cursor cluster keys, which leave my hand aching badly after a few minutes of play. Can't recommend this, and I've uninstalled it.

As there was recently Tetpic 5000 and it DID CRASH my Windows and PC, I won't bother downloading this one...

I spent some time on Elefun's website the other day. They also give away a freebie every day - animated wallpapers and screensavers (I like them because I can activate the screensaver from my desktop when I leave the computer, and the baby can move the mouse and click the keys and not disrupt my work!) Anyway, I checked out their games page - Hey, I was surprised! They actually do really good games too! How about something really great for Mother's Day?

Yes it is supposed to stop. It does that when you have destroyed enough blocks to pass the level. That is a fun little game BTW.

Oh and this game.. I guess I will pass, already have the newer version. 5000 is a great Tetris clone.

I will pass on this game, just not for me, but it looks great though.. Number 11 I downloaded the game yesterday and yes it is supposed to stop like that, if you look to the lower left, you will see how much of the board you control so that way when you see it says 90% you will know it is going to stop soon..hope this helps..

Yeah, you gave us Teptic 5000 3 days ago, so why give us 4000 today? I'm pretty much going to stop getting EleFun games unless they get really good ratings.

Although this is basically an earlier version of Tepic5000, we should remember that we are being given free software here folks. There are minor differences, not really worthy of note here apart from you being able to select the start up music at the beginning of a game, however the music does play in a specific sequence so whichever you start on you will invariably get to all the tracks at some point during the game, of which there are 11 pieces. That is if you play it for over around half an hour. The only other difference of note is the graphics. It would appear the newer version is more graphically up to date.

I think the only down side to getting this game today is that it has come so close on the heels of Tetpic 5000 which was given away on Thursday, which was only three days ago, however there may have been casual visitors or others that missed the giveaway, so at least they have got themselves a version of this game, which in my opinion is the best I've seen since playing Tetris on the game boy back in 1989-90.

I've compared these two games and too be honest I actually prefer the earlier version anyway, so, thank you again Elefun Multimedia and the GGAotD team. Keep up the fantastic work.

Hoping for a better game tomorrow. Guess all the good games have been given already. How about some more Snowy games. I lost them when my computer crashed a few months ago. Can you repeat some of the games given at the beginning of this web site conception? I know that some people would appreciate the games given then. Thanks.

Ok this is going to sound really negative but, much as I appreciate the free games, there is little point in visiting GGAOTD if clones of the same 5 games get given away day after day. Please try and include more variety for your own sake (keeping visitors) as much as ours.

As a positive suggestion if there is a problem getting enough quality games how about making one fixed day a week a repeat game day. You could offer one of the more popular games from the past months for those who missed it (and tell everyone which game it will be the day before).

Another idea would be to make one day a freeware day something like freeware Monday. Even though there wouldn't be any apparent value most of us come for the chance to enjoy great games so highlighting a good freeware game one day a week probably wouldn't do any damage.

Thanks for all the games, please do have a think about how you choose them.

There's a bar at the left bottom corner of the screen that says "board control - X%" where "X" is a percentage. If that percentage reaches 100% you win.

Downloaded, intalled and registered with no problem at all. It's your basic tetris game with a couple of new shapes added. Nothing really new or exiting, but still enjoyable. If you're looking for the next great invovation in tetris based games, this isn't for you, but if you enjoy tetris and and just want to play it again, this game is just right for you. The 9.95 price tag is about right... as this is the same as you'd see in those wal-mart remakes of older games.

Installed OK, but when I ran it, it just showed the title screen and played "pretty" music for 10 minutes. Couldn't exit with Alt-Tab or even Ctrl-Alt-Delete, although PC hadn't frozen because the music was still playing.

This is truly the worst piece of crap I have ever seen. I just hope the uninstall works better than the game.

just a question why did we got the 5000 version of the game 2 days ago an now the 4000 version ? I just dont understand....

Can anyone who downloaded and played Twinxoid yesterday tell me if it's supposed to stop in the middle of the game and say 'you have reached target board control' or is that some form of a demo? It's kind of disconcerting for it to stop in the middle of the game and I don't see any option to let one play until the board is completely cleared.
