15 simple 16 piece puzzles with a mystical theme. Released on Itch.io yesterday 11th November 2021.

We've had several jigsaw puzzles from GameREA ranging from excellent 60 pieces puzzles with 16 different puzzles, ones with 49 elements with 10 different puzzles to solve to the smaller 16 element puzzles with 15 different puzzles to solve. These included themes such as Fantastic Puzzles 2021, Street Art, Grim puzzles, Oil Paintings, Colourful World, Transport, Statues, and Autumn Mood puzzles. Todays game Terrible puzzles is of the latter type i.e 16 elements with 15 different puzzles to solve.

Introduction:
15 Simple puzzles on a mystical theme. Each level consists of 16 elements that must be rotated in the desired direction and dragged into place. At the beginning of the level, you see the image for 5 seconds, and then it disappears. In this version of the game, the help button is disabled, which was in previous games, since the levels are very simple. The game has a choice of levels, and you can start the game from the level you choose. Sometimes a spider appears on the screen that will distract you, you can get rid of it by clicking on it. The game will delight you with nice graphics and calm music.

The Game:
Terrible Puzzles is a 16 piece square puzzle with fifteen images to solve. When you start the game you can see what key bindings and mouse controls are used by clicking on the Control button (see the second image above). The first two buttons toggle the sound on and off, the third button restarts the puzzles timer from the beginning; when this is done, all the pieces of the puzzle are shuffled and reoriented differently. The puzzle pieces are located to the left and right of the 4 x 4 grid; eight on each side. Once placed in the correct place puzzle pieces can still be moved, unlike some of the earlier puzzle pieces that once correctly placed locked in place. If you place a piece incorrectly it will not spring back to the periphery, but stay where it is on the grid until moved. Once a puzzle is completed, within a few seconds the next puzzle will open. Each puzzle is timed. There is no best times score board and when you leave the game on restarting, you will start from the beginning unless you select the level button. There is no indication whether or not you've previously completed a puzzle. The fourth button moves you onto the next puzzle.

When starting the game you can either start from the first puzzle by clicking the Play button; alternatively you can select any of the sixteen levels by clicking on the Select Level button. When starting a puzzle you will be given five seconds to see the image then it will disappear. There is a timer situated in the middle of the four buttons.

This puzzle looks more professional than some of the puzzles we've been getting from other developers recently and was created by GameREA.

Conclusion:
A nice puzzle game, though each image is relatively easy to complete and should only take a few minutes to complete for each puzzle. The puzzles are a variety mystical and fantasy type images. I enjoyed completing them, but there was no challenge due to the limited size of each puzzle. This game is probably ideal for younger children or those with severe learning disabilities.

Notes on Security

I scanned a zipped copy of the installed game using Virus Total and it found 3 hits (VBA32, Jiangmin & Yandex). These 3 are amongst only several antimalware suites that often tag Falcoware Games compared to most better known and more reliable antimalware engines; so, it's very likely to be a false positive.

The downloaded executable 'may' include some low level adware that only opens your browser once to Falcoware's home page after the game has installed and also places four shortcuts onto your desktop (which can be safely deleted once the game has installed).

The installation does NOT inject any malware into your system. When your browser is opened to Falcoware's home page following the games installation, it earns Falcoware games some money, part of which is given to the developer of the game for allowing the game to be given away free. Once you've installed the game, there are no more browser redirections. This is because Falcoware removed their installer over a year ago (that installer would show an advert for a game and then open your browser each time you played and then closed the game down.)
