Crazy Desert Car is an exciting game in the arcade genre.

This game is similar to Pac-Man ... Though it takes place in hell ... And with a tank instead of a round dude. Go through the levels, collect photons, fight bosses and fill your tank. Buy new tanks to get more powerful weapons. Online table of records is included.

Scientists conducted a dangerous experiment and opened a portal to another dimension. Crowds of demons escaped from the portal and destroyed half of the city, and the terrain was taken entirely. A special ship is being sent to the portal, and onboard are super powerful tanks. Your task will be to destroy the demonic nests and the demons, as well as crushing the three bosses.

Tanks VS Demons:

In Brief:
Tanks VS Demons is a Pacman like game where tanks take the place of Pacman. There are eleven levels with three Boss battles (level 3 = Fire Golem, level 7 = Red Spike & level 11 = Devastator). Before you can start the first level, called 'First Hell' you need to visit the store where you can purchase the weakest tank for 1000 Photons (in game currency). Each tank has four attributes i.e Attack, Speed, Defense & Capture. You start the game with 2000 photons. Each level earns you more photons, the higher the level the more photons you earn. There are four tanks, with the most expensive costing 10000 photons.. Once you've purchased your tank, any photons left over can be used to upgrade the Speed, Weapon, Armour and Nitro up to five times each; for example, to upgrade your ammunition costs $700 (equivalent to Photons), armour can be upgraded for $300, Speed also costs $300 and Nitro costs $700 to upgrade.

When in the maze, pick up power ups and capture points; avoid being captured by the isects. The lower left indicator gives your health and the amount of ammunition you have. Ammunition is limited, so don't waste your shots. You can pick up more ammunition via power ups. The indicator in the middle right is your nitro. In the top right you can access the options menu and return to the main menu.

There's an online score board. When I press the button with a score of zero, I was listed as the fourteenth. ;)

Please see the introduction above (below the timer) for more details of today's game. I only managed a short playthrough last night so that I could post some images and get a basic feel for the game. I'm really busy for most of the day, so won't have time until this evening to post anthing else about the game (though unlikely).

Check out the following short video of game play HERE

I noted that Falcoware have included their installer, which shows an advert for various games found on Falcowares site and takes about 30 seconds to complete before you can play the game. They stopped including this a few years ago; so, I was surprised to see it today. It's possible that's why the results of the scan threw up the three positive results (see my scan results via the link in my next comment). They are benign and don't add anything to your system, basically being an advert for other games. They are totally self-contained within the Falcoware installer.

Personally, I don't usually install games with these adware beginnings, but because Falcoware have been so kind to give us hundreds of games since 2018; (most of which were free standing with no Falcoware installer), I'm going to install and check it out later, but I won't be keeping it.
Controls:
WASD or arrow keys = Movement
Ctrl = Nitro
Spacebar = fire weapon

Whiterabbit-uk,

Notes on Security
I scanned a zipped copy of the installed game using Virus Total and it found 3 hits (Google, Foptinet & Cyren) from 62 antimalware engines. I've never seen these security vendors before. Still, compared to better known antimalware engines, the results are very likely to be a false positive; especially considering the game giveawayoftheday have been monitoring giveaways since Dec 2006 and have never given a game away infected with malware.

You can see the scan results HERE

The downloaded executable for installing the game 'may' include some low-level adware that only opens your browser once to Falcoware's home page after the game has installed and also places four shortcuts onto your desktop (these can be safely deleted once the game has installed with no effect on the game).

The installation DOES NOT inject any malware into your system. When your browser is opened to Falcoware's home page following the games installation, it earns Falcoware games some money, part of which is given to the developer of the game for allowing the game to be given away for free. Once you've installed the game, there are no more browser redirections. This is because Falcoware removed their installer almost two years ago (that installer would show an advert for a game while the game was loading (which always took about 20 seconds to ensure you'd seen the advert). It would also always open your browser each time you closed the game after playing it.)
If you're still not convinced of the games efficacy and want to be absolutely sure that the game is safe to install, please use a sandbox program to check that the game is safe to install before installing it to your C drive or other drives on your computer (assuming you have more than one drive).

Personally, I've never had any issues with any of falcowares games, even when the Falcoware installer was included.

There are free sandbox programs such as Sanboxie, GeSWall, BitBox, Windows Sandbox, Bufferzone (a six month commercial license was given away via the applications side of the project back in December 2009 HERE), Shadowzone, as well as others. (You'll find them all on the same page from Techwhoop.

If there was any inspiration to this game , it had to be Battle City for the Famicom which you can see a short video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p6Q45ZtyxVo&ab_channel=ILX4EVER

Battle City was officially released in the USA with Namco Museum Archives Vol 2. It was originally available in Japan only. You can find Namco Museum Archives on sale sometimes for a discounted price depending on the platform you play on.

sailorbear510 aka Jason,

Hi J,
Namco Museum Archives Volume 2 is 75% off at the moment. I purchased the first one recently while it was on a 75& sale; me thinks it's time to buy Vol 2 now. :)

You can find it on Steam HERE.

Thanks for the update, J; I would have missed it otherwise.
