Falco Brains is an unusual variation of the Match 3 genre.

Exclusive offer from Giveaway of the Day and MyPlayCity! No third-party advertising and browser add-ons!

Check your skills and become a master of equilibrium in the game Sustainable Balance! Try your hand at saving a ball on the game board. Seems easy, but wait a little, it’s just an illusion. There are lots of wooden bars with various obstacles around: iron blocks, other things that look unnecessary at first sight, but soon you’ll realize that they are helpful to cope with a level. They are not obstacles, just on the contrary, they are the things that will be a support in getting to the end of the level. Try to move the blocks and bars in such a way to overcome all kinds of obstacles waiting for you in the numerous levels. Balance. One wrong move, and the ball will fall into the abyss, and you’re to replay the level from the very beginning.

If you enjoyed playing last weeks giveaway Ghost Cleaner, you'll find a list and some links to similar Pachinko like games at the end of this review; (I didn't post them until the Ghost Cleaner giveaway was almost over. Also, check out the Conan Exiles (worth £26.99/$29.99) competition giveaway HERE, which runs until Monday morning.

Please only post comments about today's game giveaway; other comments either inappropriate, or comments with only one or a few words; for example good, thank you, TY, bad, rubbish, this game is ~%!£*? etc , or if the comment has nothing to do with today's game they may be deleted at the moderator or administrators discretion; however, a little light banter among community members and with the moderator to keep this a friendly place to visit is acceptable and welcomed. All comments not specifically about today's game giveaway will be judged by the moderator and if deemed inappropriate, will be deleted and usually with no explanation. Suggestions:
Please take a few moments to give some positive or negative feedback about your opinion of Sustainable Balance; for example, what you liked or disliked about the game, or how it could be improved from your point of view. If you don't like the genre at all, please explain why and if any, what improvements would change your mind? There are thousands of subscribers to the game giveaway of the day every weekend which makes this an ideal forum for giving developers new or fresh ideas as to what their consumers (i.e you) would like to see in a game. For example, you could suggest extra content such as better or more original mini games, or a level editor that you would like to see that would make it more appealing to you. Maybe you think the graphics are a little dated and are in need of re skinning, or maybe you've just had enough of the genre and want to see something different or something with more originality? Giving such feedback instead of saying nothing or just saying this game is rubbish or good may bring more developers to the site, which could mean more and better games. Would you give away thousands of copies of a game (or extra content for a game) away to a community that complains all the time instead of giving useful feedback? It only takes a few moments of your time. This site could be transformed if only the community would be more forthcoming in their opinions of the games they are getting for free instead of complaining about the way this site has changed, they don't like MPC games, they hate HOG, have had enough of Match Three and Time Management games, they want to see the latest version of Call of duty or some other big name AAA game given away or that they don't like Steam games. If something isn't for you then please move on to the next giveaway, or check out the forums HERE, HERE and HERE, where a few members of the community post details of various free games and free game sites as well as links to various indie bundle sites etc; you never know, you may find something that really interests you.
If you miss today's game giveaway you can always get the game via MyPlayCity 24/7 HERE. If you want to try the game first before downloading, you'll find online versions HERE, HERE and HERE. Also, if you want to find other marble rolling games check the conclusion for links to Steam and non Steam marble rolling games.

Sustainable Balance downloads to a 36.2 MB zip file that unzips to three files, (a setup.gcd security wrapper, the set up file and a read me). Those with multiple hard drives are able to save games on any drive they wish. The newly installed game is 61.1 MB in size. The game installs to the following path by default, but can be changed by the user if you prefer:
C:\Program Files (x86)\MyPlayCity.com\Sustainable Balance
Four shortcuts are installed to the desktop. three of which can be safely deleted (Play Online Games, MyPlayCity Games and shortcuts to a free online game which vary each week). Also, if you don't like icons installed to the quick launch task bar, make sure you uncheck the box when the additional tasks window appears (after the Select Start Menu Folder window)
Introduction:
Sustainable Balance consists of 9 levels plus 1 secret level. You will direct a ball, which varies by weight each level. It may appear simple at first glance, but the levels can be quite complex. After completing the levels, you unlock a challenging bonus game
If you have a problem installing or activating or getting Sustainable Balance to work please visit the problems section, which I've now incorporated into the FAQ's thread, and which you can find HERE

Try not to lose a ball and think over your future moves to the several steps in the future. It’s a core feature in the game Sustainable Balance, so prove that you are the chosen who is able to save equilibrium in the world! The weight of the ball is different depending on the level, so each time you should think how to move it to the final destination and not to fall to the abyss. Be careful and don’t hurry up, haste is your worst enemy here. Some of the levels are really challenging, so don’t be upset if you replay it, sometimes it’s inevitable to understand how to play better. You have no hints in the game Sustainable Balance, so try to use only your abilities and skills to become the master of equilibrium! Have fun and check if you are skillful enough not in the shooters and hidden object games but in the peaceful logic games without dynamic gameplay as well!

Conclusion:
A reasonably challenging marble rolling game, with decent physics. Cons include too few levels, no options (compared to the android/flash versions and there appears to be no way to close the game down except for using Ctrl-Alt-Del or Alt-Tab. Also to turn the music down or off you have to open the Volume Mixer in the task bar.
If you like marble rolling games, there are many marble rolling games available online and downloadable commercial versions. The following are some I've played over the years and enjoyed. The first lot are all available on Steam. Marble Mountain, Spectraball, Puzzleball, Puzzle Dimension, Dexterity Ball 3D™, Shift Orb, Polyball, Rolling Gauntlet and the rest from various online sites. Neverball, Roads of Fantasy, Hamsterball, Ballance , Slickball, Marble Blast Gold (the first computer game I ever bought for my son), Switchball, Marble Madness, plus loads more online versions HERE
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank MyPlayCity for giving away Sustainable Balance and also to the game giveaway team, as always, for securing other ways to get free games.
Useful Information not related to today's game giveaway:
The problems section that used to be posted here in the Game review is now included in the Game Discussion FAQ's thread; which you can find HERE.
I've updated the games section that used to be posted with the review. The thread is now called 'Weekly round up of game deals', formerly the games section of the weekly reviews. You can find the new thread (which I've posted in the sticky section of the game discussion forums to make it easier to find if you are perusing the game discussion forums) HERE.
The rest of the information that used to be posted here can be found in the forums HERE. Don't forget, if you have an account with DOT.emu, you need to download any games you have before June, when the site closes permanently. Finally, check out Delenns thread over in the forums HERE. There are games available for free, some of which are limited to the number of free keys available.

I didn't post the following details about Pachinko/Peggle like games until late in last weeks giveaway, so thought I'd repeat the information again today for those who like the genre. There are quite a few related games, unfortunately most are android games, which probably means you can get them for a few dollars or less, however there are some PC based. I highly recommend Dachinko, all the Peggle games (Peggle, Peggle Nights and Peggle Extreme) and Moleculous. Here's a list of similar games: Dachinko (Playway), Moleculous (Game Circus LLC), Peggle Extreme (PopCap), Kachooly (inteligang), Frozen Free Fall: Icy Shot (Disney), Super Peg World (Spaceware), A Riveting Universe (Jelly Smeared Games Inc), Peggy 2 (?), Pearl Pop: Arcade Shooter (Tapps Games), K3Y (Legacy Games), Wonderball Heroes (Moon Active), Viber Wonderball (Viber Media S.a.r.l.), Peg Popper (Paul Klemstine), Pegland (?),PegGoo Pop (Gentleman Rat Studios), Papa Pear Saga (King). Most are android releases apart from the first three, and you can play all three free either ass a free download via Steam, or as flash versions, or you can google to purchase them.

I enjoyed the first level and got halfway through the second level. The physics are decent and the puzzles require consideration. I will be going back to it, but didn't have the necessary patience/concentration right then.

The real reason I'm commenting is Exit is either F2 or F3. I discovered this when ESC didn't work so started running through the function keys. And as someone mentioned, this is an arrow key or WADS game, and a mouse would probably make the micro changes too difficult.

I like the game... it's teaching me patience in more ways than one. Downloaded and installed fine on my Windows 10 x64 desktop and also on my same configuration laptop. It took me a few tries to figure out that a) you have to use the arrow keys on the keyboard to move the ball and b) the ball is hidden initially and you have to use the arrow keys to get it moving so you can find it! I initially made many trips through space! Discovered, as whiterabbit-uk said, that the only way to get out of the game is do the 3-finger salute (Ctrl-Alt-Del). I'd put the game aside for a few hours only to find, when trying to open it again, that it wouldn't open. Acted like it was connecting to MPC and then the opening window and icon just disappeared. I tried 3 different times and finally reinstalled it. Then it ran fine. Makes me wonder if I truly have the patience to keep reinstalling it if that's the only way to run it after lapsed time or if I'd even be ABLE to reinstall to get it working again once the free day is over.
I do like the game.... I find it a challenge. Play and response time seems to be very smooth. The graphics are pleasing. However, the frustration of having to do the 3-finger salute and the uncertainty of whether it will load again have me seriously considering uninstalling it, saying it would have been nice.............

This looks like a game in development that is not yet ready for release. It needs an instruction page for how to play. It needs an option screen for sound volume levels, and key sensitivity. It needs to go to a menu screen when you press ESC. The camera does not follow the ball well - parts of the maze obscure the ball so that you cannot determine exactly where the ball is. It could do with an optional map in the upper right corner giving you an overview of the maze.
I found it too annoying to bother with further. Perhaps when it is more than a Beta release I might try it again.

Unlike many games we get from MPC, the license for this game actually belongs to MPC. Lets hope they improve on it. The online version does have some options, so I'm surprised we don't get them in this version? Also, I was unable to find any video's or reviews of game play online, so would assume this is a fairly recent release.

No instructions, no options screen, no way to exit....yep, White Rabbit already noticed this in his review. I really don't care for games where I have to have good coordination....but goodness! I was willing to give it a try. And besides those obvious drawbacks, I would also suggest the graphics be improved in order to see "depth" more easily so that the player can easily tell the difference between going down a different path versus rolling off the edge.

Does not respond to any key or mouse, only sound, no action.
It means there is no camera, no game?
output_log.txt: Warning: no main camera found. Ball needs a Camera tagged "MainCamera", for camera-relative controls.

Have a couple of similar games for Android, so I was eager to give it a try. It installed without a problem on Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1 - and it's the only positive.
Once the game starts, it shows 2 buttons: Game and Exit. There are no options or settings to adjust anything. Clicking "Game" starts the game - sort of. An empty board appears without a ball, annoying techno-like music starts playing loud and there is nothing I can do. The only keys it reacts to are Caps Lock (which does nothing) and the combo of Ctrl+Alt+Del, which, yes, brings up the screen where I can start the Task Manager and kill the unresponsive game. Sorry, it may be the first time in my decade or so on this site that I give a thumbs down, but a game that doesn't work forces me to do it.

Hi JoeJ

I agree with respect to no options and the inability to close the game only with Ctrl-Alt-Del (or Alt-Tab). When the first level starts, the ball is hidden behind part of the level. The game would be much improved if you were able to navigate around the level much like you can in most rts games (usually by holding down the middle mouse button then moving your mouse). Using either WASD or the arrow keys, you should be able to move the ball so that it is visible, however, on your first attempt the ball is likely to fall off. I found a slight downward then a left movement brought the ball into the correct visible position. Also absent from this game is a jump feature. most ball rolling games (at least the more recent releases) do have a jump feature, that said, if we had this, it would take away most of the puzzles as the lack of a jump feature is countered by having to maneuver boxes to fill in gaps so that you can move to other parts of the level.
