We've not had this particular solitaire game before (there are three in the Jack Frost series); however, it's basically the same 'mechanic' wise as all the previous solitaire games we've had over the last few years e.g. Solitaire: Legend Of The Pirates 3 (29th Dec 2018), Detective Solitaire: Inspector Magic and the Man Without a Face (5th Sept 2020), Mystery Solitaire Arkham's Spirits (12th Sept 2020), Mystery Solitaire: Grimm’s Tales 2 (4th Oct 2020, Mystery Solitaire: The Black Raven (17th Oct 2020), Solitaire Mystery: Four Seasons (8th Dec 2018) and lots more previous to that. This time it's a Jack Frost Theme.
Solitaire Jack Frost Winter Adventures works on the principle of a chain; i.e. cards can be removed from the board so long as they are higher or lower by one from the overturned card next to the unexposed pack at the bottom of the screen, regardless of their suit. There is a meter located in the the top right of the board that starts to fill up when you remove at least five cards in a row without a pause. If the meter fills completely, a bonus multiplier will appear. If you continue to remove cards without a pause, this continues to fill and will increase in numbers; this continues so long as you continue to remove cards in a steady stream. If you take too much time to remove cards the indicator will start to reduce. The multiplier bonus is only added at the end of the round, so try not to pause too often to take advantage of the highest multiplier you obtain. When your score reaches a maximum, the round ends, even if you haven't removed all of the cards. Some cards give a bonus of 499 points. These can be distinguished from normal cards by the presence of a crystal. Also cards bordered with a silver frame are also special cards, that when overturned are gold in colour. Collect all of these to complete the level. There are three bonus buttons available a reshuffle, a Mulligan and a joker. The mulligan allows you to undo the last move, and the joker allows you to take any card from the board, no matter what the card in the exposed pack is. The only difference between this and all the other solitaire games mentioned above are the theme, and the card designs.

p.s. don't forget to check out the Epic game store. This weeks free game is the excellent Jurassic World: Evolution (similar to the tycoon series of games) and from the 7th January we will get Crying Suns, a tactical rogue-lite that puts you in the role of a space fleet commander as you explore a mysteriously fallen empire.
Stay safe everyone.

Thank you to everyone who commented today. I hope 2021 brings health, happiness and some luck to all; especially following the awful year many have had in 2020.

Another patience game on a familiar theme, but with different art work and a different look to the board. It's bright and easy on the eye, but not necessarily any easier to play! There's always an element of guessing in this type of patience / solitaire, so a fair amount of luck is required to get through it. But I have to admit that I have got to like these games, so I have downloaded this one despite the similarity to a couple of others. A quick trial run was a nice break in the day, and I shall definitely be keeping this one along with its cousins. Many thanks to GAOTD, Toomky and of course to Whiterabbit for his ever-helpful testing and advice.

Like it tho not a real fan of genre. Sharp graphics seems to play 'fair'. Sliders for music, usual things. Ok Win 10 x64 Pro. Upon first running from desktop icon (not the Finish & run game option offered), I had a couple crashes. Had audio music, no video. Closed down that way. Ran from the Finish & run for ok job. Closed, ran from icon & then ok. In game no issues like that. Biggest nag - to play the Pro version you have to complete ALL 10 levels of Newbie. Or skip Newbie tutorial itself & go Pro. Started the 10 figuring I'll quit & redo later. Got so caught up in game I finished level 9 before figuring I'll see if can leave & return in at unplayed level 10. Game popped up with "Are you sure? All progress will be lost" or something like that. Wouldn't let me select just 10 from the menu of 10 outcomes. So I choose to replay 9 to get to 10. Went fast because had the touch by then.
Never used the SHOP that lets you buy some of the bonuses like Joker. While Tutorial is easy w/o Shops, I'm guessing will come in handy on Pro.
Hoping Pro is more forgiving or clear about the Save feature. Play a level & try to leave & see where return leaves you.
All in all, 8.5 or even 9 of 10. Only other nit was one level tilted the cards layout. Bit of vertigo set in on that one. Not a needed game design element for me, rest quite nice designs. Thanks GOTD WR & gotta be a Happier New Year.

Nice and bright and very easy on the eyes...BIG card numbers and gold cards are obvious. Play is same as other versions just more fun when the play is easy to see.

When I installed the game, the first level was a Match-3, not a solitaire game. Are the solitaire levels interspersed with Match-3 levels, or what?

This is a very good solitaire game where you have to uncover certain cards to finish the level.
