Free or Discounted Games:
Please check Delenn's threads over in the giveaway forums HERE (non-Steam games) and HERE (Steam games) for the latest freebies. It's kept up to date frequently, (thanks for keeping this up to date Delenn, very much appreciated).

Steam Games:
For the latest Steam sales check THIS Steam database site out. You can list the games in 'price' & 'percentage off' order by clicking the headers. If you link SteamDB (the Steam database) with your Steam account, all games that you already have will be highlighted in green and those in blue are on your wish list. When there are Steam games being given away, you'll see the percentage off as 100%. It's worth checking this regularly to make sure you don't miss the best deals and freebies. Delenn usually posts links to all free games within several hours of them going live, so check her links in the first paragraph above.


If you have a Steam account and like to collect soon to be removed games, there are at least five that I know of (thanks to Delenn) that are being removed soon. i.e. Gods Remastered a classic platformer from the early 90's that includes both the original and the remastered is being removed from Steam on the 27th March due to licensing issues. It's on sale with 90% off (£0.79/$0.99) until removal (a fantastic bargain) .

Knockout Checkers Chamber; has now been removed from Steam. I don't know of any other outlet that sells the game, but, if you still wanted the game, you may be able to find keys on the various Steam key sites, but there's no guarantee.

Three more games are being removed from Steam by the developer FarSky Interactive sometime in April; two are on sale for 70% off at the moment i.e. Far Sky and The free Ones. Sky Break is still full price, but we may see it reduced in a final sale before the games are removed?

If you've purchased any game that is later removed from the Steam store, you will still always be able to access it via your Steam library despite it no longer being available via Steam.

Indie Gala:
Don't forget to check Indie Gala's freebie section HERE, then click on the Showcase header, selecting freebies from the drop down menu; the most recent additions include:

Check the freebie section for the latest additions; if you've not visited for a while, also check the Showcase section for older freebies. All or most new freebies should be on the first page of the Showcase pages. We have been given over 340 games since I started to check the freebie section in 2018. But around 60% of those are no longer available free. The following recent freebies have now been removed from the free library: Pixel Puzzles 2: Paintings , Hamsterdam, Copperbell, Chainsaw Warrior, Leisure Suit Larry 2 Looking For Love (In Several Wrong Places), Leisure Suit Larry 1 - In the Land of the Lounge Lizards , Figment, Pixel Puzzles 2: Space, Revolution Ace, Six Sides of the World, Byte Family, Alone on Mars, Garfield Kart, Nostradamus the Last Prophecy, Snowball, Pixel Puzzles 2: Christmas , Die Young (Full version), Distortions, Dino Run DX, Cheap Golf, Kill Em All, Dead Hungry Diner, and Contract with the Devil.

Any game you claim while it's being offered is DRM free and will remain in your Indie Gala library permanently (unless Indie Gala goes bust) and can be downloaded at any time, under the showcase or freebie section; 115 games are still available. Not all games that go into the showcase remain free and are removed after a short period; e.g. the recent adventure puzzler Figment that costs almost £15 on Steam; so, you should grab them as quickly as you can. To find your games go to your account and from the drop down menu select 'My Library'. When the page opens find the 'Showcase' button in the banner along the top of the page and, from the drop down menu select 'Showcase'. There are only 8 games per page, so, if like me you have added hundreds to your account/library. Each page from your free list can take 30 or more seconds to move to the next page so it can take a good twenty minutes to get to the last page depending on how many of the free games you've claimed.

CD Keys:
Another decent site that you should check out regularly is CD Key HERE. Be sure to check that keys from CD Keys are redeemable in whichever country you live in (it details where it can be redeemed) as prices and the ability to redeem keys in particular countries may differ. I've quoted prices from the UK pages of CD keys. I recently got an Origin key for Star Wars: Squadrons for 99% off, costing me £0.34; it usually retails for £34.99, I also got 32% off a pre order copy of Dying Light 2 a couple of weeks before it was released in February, saving around £20 off the release price.

Epic Games:
The latest Epic Game is called In Sound Mind - an imaginative first-person psychological horror with frenetic puzzles, unique boss fights, and original music by The Living Tombstone. Journey within the inner workings of the one place you can’t seem to escape— your own mind.

Next Thursday 24th March we will be given DEMON'S TILT a pinball game with SHMUP & Hack N' Slash elements.

Indie Bundles:
The best Indie Bundles sites that have been operating from around 2010 are the Humble Bundle and Indie Gala sites (though the latter isn't as good as it used to be, with most of the bundles containing cheap stocking fillers and a lot of 'adult only 'hentai like ' games). The Humble site is, in my opinion, the best; though a more recent addition that is worth checking out called Fanatical games, that used to be called Bundle Stars, looks to be a serious contender for that title as they have some very good bundles. The latest Humble Choice bundle went live Tue 1st March; it includes seven Steam games and one Origin game. Desperados III, Mass Effect Legendary Edition (Origin), Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan, Red Solstice 2: Survivors, Nebuchadnezzar, Police Stories and Evan's Remains. Subscriptions to the Choice bundle have recently been changed, levelling the ground for all subscribers. The monthly cost is a meagre $12/£8.99 with other benefits such as access to a lot of indie titles for free while subscribed and a percentage off other purchases from the Humble store. This discount increases the longer you stay subscribed up to a year with 20% off all none bundle purchases. (1 month sub' gives 10% off, 3 months sub' gives 15% off and six months sub 'gives 17% off). The next Humble Choice bundle goes live Tuesday 5th April 22.

Free Game Project:
I've restarted a project I originally started back in 2008 that used to be called Good Games to Grab, where I posted free games over in the forums on a daily basis; however, I won't be posting them daily this time, only as and when I have time and the inclination. So far, I've posted eight excellent PC games, plus one android game as well as suggested or linked to others similar to the ones posted. I'll be adding more as and when I have the time or the mood takes me over the coming months.

Amazon Prime Gaming:
If you have Amazon Prime you also get access to a new set of free games every month. The March freebies include an Origin code for 'Madden NFL 22', and 'Surviving Mars' on Epic Games (this has been given away twice via Epic a few years ago on the 10th October 2019 together with a couple of the DLC and again on the 11th March last year; if you missed it both times here's your chance to finally grab the base game). There are also some downloadable games and a whole bunch of in game content for lots of big name games like League of Legends, GTA V, Red Dead Online, Dead by Daylight, Destiny 2, Battlefield 2042 and loads more. Other Free or Discounted Games:
Black And White Apocalypse that was given away mid January (HERE) by the developer Hammergames is always free via Itch.io and can also be downloaded as a colour version. You can find both versions via the following links Black & White version, and Coloured version. :) Hammergames also offer other games they have created free HERE. Some of them look like they are worth investigating. :)
