Ok, finally tried the game. The whining sound of the shooting is intensely irritating, and the constant boom boom "music" equally so. Your only choice is to play in complete silence, unless you want shattered nerves to the point you will have to take a pill and lie down. Rating: one and half stars, no make it one-half star.

"The move advanced aircraft in the world"? Appears to be just a green set of pixels. At least they could have put a teeny bit more graphic for an aeroplane of such stature.

I've removed this comment Frank as it is being judgmental about another community member. The two exclamation marks may have been a typo, for example I have a very sensitive gaming keyboard called an Ultra Stealth Black Widow (by Razer). If I even touch a key next to the key I'm depressing it will also register that key and sometimes will double print a key if I touch is ever so slightly after depressing it the first time..

You will be confronted by unmanned flying drones, helicopters, airplanes, air mines ... The commanders-in-chief, who will try to destroy you on their flying means, are also of great danger. Pick up weapons and upgrades for your aircraft. You have access to the power shield, which is able to repel most of the enemy’s attacks!

The Game:

Sky Hurricane is a straightfoward vertical shoot em up game with a top down perspective. There are only nine levels, however, each level seems to go on forever. It has the usual variety of ememeies and power ups such as different weapons shields and maintainance pick ups. The game is 'almost' monochrome in appearance with a blue/green clour and various shades of blue to green being predominant, with the ocassional pink clouds..

There's nothing new included in this game that makes it stand out from the crowd, but it is a well made game, and for novices to the game has challenging levels. If like me you are slow with your keyboard, you'll probably find it difficult to survive to the end of level 1. There are plenty of upgrades available including lots of shields, which can help you to survive to the end of a level, if you are fast enough to pick them up before getting hit. I spent about half an hour trying to get to the end to see if there are end of level bosses, which are common in this genre. The two indicators at the top left of the screen once in a level show you your progress to the end of the level (I almost made it to the end) and your ships damage. You only get one life.

Overall I'd give it a thumbs up.

I would install it myself,, but at this time I have an appointment with my barber, got to keep the new "scruffy beard hobo" look that currently is in favour. Will try to play the game later, if I remember. Thanks and rgds.
