The regular process of boundary air patrol in a military helicopter has turned into a nasty surprise for you. Enemy aircrafts have suddenly appeared in the sky one after the other. It’s time you call for reinforcements, but they won’t come to help anytime soon. You’ll have to hold off an enemy attack single-handedly. Bear for action!

Finally able to get some relief from this ancient machine and stumble on a way to get ANY semblance of normal performance. Couldn't even play a standard mp3 without crippling the CPU. Now closer to normal operation, which means I can, sort of, test games. CPU in this ancient machine is okay - reasonable fast, but single core, memory fine, but graphics are ancient.
I mention that because can't completely review, as it runs slightly on the slow side for me, as compared to WR's posted youtube video, which is another thing this thing struggles to play. But, I eventually was able to compare.
So, just some observations: hardly up on shmups, but reminds me more of a sci-fi shoot 'em up than a war simulation. Helicopters may be more maneuverable than jets, but they're generally not faster! Slowest moving jets I ever saw! LOL. Even most prop fighters fly faster than a basic chopper. Though, the main targets in the 1st level look sort of like prop bombers, without the obvious propellers, so they would be about the same speed as an entry level chopper. Nor are jets (or even combat props) made to shoot at angles, especially not while doing barrel rolls! And the fighters, including the barrel rollers (ghosts of the Red Baron? hee), aren't appreciably faster than the bombers, which would make a fighter (or more properly named, an Interceptor) not particularly useful. So, essentially you're facing some slow moving alien drones disguised as jets. :)
Having said that, it's fine. Also noticed that you can replay the 1st level - the only one that I played - with all three 'copters and not have your progress/accomplishments reset. It's essentially doesn't treat copter changes as part of the game your playing and doesn't reset progress. One way you can stretch it out the 1st time through.
If you haven't tried all 3, the names say it all: the "fire" chopper special attack is a fireball which destroys all enemies on the screen at the time, guess what the laser chopper shoots ;) (actually it's more like multi-lasers or a broad plasma wave than a pinpoint laser/lasers), the field chopper - was trying to figure that 1 out, knowing something about combat choppers - actually has a force field as it's special "attack" (defense). So you can see it's really a disguised space shooter, at least in that choice of sci-fi weapons. If you haven't bought the "rockets", they're actually heat seeking missiles, though they're the SLOWEST missiles in the universe! They almost look like they're meandering around the screen, but they are zeroing in on a target, with all the alacrity of molasses in January. Though I'm slightly exaggerating because the speed was decreased by my sluggish graphics. I paid for what I thought was a gun upgrade, but seemed to get the same double machine guns - rather than the triples I saw in one of the videos. I assume it means upgrade, rather than choice, since I see no way to actually switch weapons. I'm chocking that 1 up to bad choice of words.
Nothing, though, in those previous paragraphs is meant to be taken as carping. In it's parameters, it's seems a fun game, if you just ignore it's pretense as modern air combat. It might have been better to have set it as a chopper battle, with your state of the art 'copter mowing down the older, slower enemies and an occasional 1, or a few, with similar speed.
Noticed it's advertised for phones as well, I half suspect it may be a port, or at least developed for both and dumb downed slightly to meet phone parameters. Which brings me to my one complaint. I usually prefer my music to be quieter than my sound effects. Anyway, considering how old the technology needed for that is, sound/music on-off buttons just are not adequate! Give me volume sliders, even if you also have on/off buttons. I turned the music off, though, and it hardly detracted from the experience.
Nothing special, but almost nothing substandard, either. In the occasional time wasting category, I might pay something for it. Though not sure it would be $4.99. Certainly, there's fun to be had here.
Definitely keeping it. Thanks developer and GGOTD!

Runs well even on my Ryzen 3500u powered laptop, so anybody looking for something they can play on the go needn't worry. Graphics are pretty good for this type of shooter, too.
That said, not exactly a difficult game and even using the touchpad (couldn't be bothered hunting out my mouse) I was able to get through all ten levels on my first try, the lack of difficulty levels is disappointing. Good for a quick blast, though, and definitely worth an install if you like shoot 'em ups.

Dawkinsdog, I have a Lenovo Ideapad 14 inch Laptop with AMD Radeon R4 Graphics and a AMD A6 processor and this game ran smooth as butter. So it's determined that you don't have that much of a fancy computer to run it. FYI - AMD A6 chips have been determined to be pokey so if someone has one and their performance is hindered it's probably the Windows Updates that's taxing the machine. Not a fun situation to be in but it is what it is in budget laptops. FYI I picked up that laptop on Black Friday in 2020 for $119 as a backup laptop and now its my primary one. It was bought from Best Buy.

I was able to download today's Giveaway fine and played a couple of levels. This reminds me of arcade games such as 1943, Strikers 1945, Twin Cobra and I could name countless shoot em up games that I can compare this to.
The graphics are very decent, the mouse is very responsive and the music actually had me bop my head to the beat as it was kind of catchy on level 3. It feels like it should be an arcade game. If you find your mouse runs too fast or slow there is a sensitivity option from within the game to adjust the settings to your mouse. Of course you could also try adjusting the DPI settings on your mouse if you have that capability.
There are different classes of helicopters to choose from and throughout the game you are given the ability to upgrade the weapons etc. The only gripe I have about this game is that you have bullets automatically shooting from the helicopters and there is no way from what I found to turn this feature off.
That being said for those people who may be new to this genre or have a condition with their hands where constantly clicking the mouse may generate discomfort, this may make the game accessible to them , but for those who are arcade game players who know the well known genres it may turn them off and find the game too easy. After all manually button mashing in this type of genre is key to having fun and skill. Rapid auto fire, not so much.
FYI I had experienced visual oddities in stage 3 with the way collision data is detected in the game. I had seen at random planes self destruct and I did not even shoot them.
