I should have just copied my other comments, but I enjoyed the play of the game and was having a good time figuring out each new element since the explanation oddly comes after the first level with the change, but I got to the sixth or seventh level when I ran out of time for the last life. I'd been told every third comment that you can restart a level to try again. What it never says is you have to do this before you lose the level, and if you run out of your three lives, all progress in the game is lost. If each level took 30 seconds, maybe this wouldn't have been a big deal, but playing through all the easy levels again just to get the chance to try a new level wasn't worth it, while I didn't want to skip levels. I wanted to see what I'd already done. The relaxed mode might have solved the throw back to the beginning, but without the challenge of going against the timer, it got boring. No incentive to figure it out quickly.

This is a nice change from the Match 3 games - a little brick shooter mixed with Match 3, not quite as frantic as brick shooter games can get and requiring more thought than the average Match 3 games. The instructions seem pretty complete except that I can't quite figure out where to find the "black holes" that you're supposed to be able to discard unneeded balls in. Probably something simple I'm just overlooking and will be able to find after I get some sleep. It looks like a pretty good length, too.

Hey Wrascally Wabbit,
I am not in any hurry about what I messaged you on Steam about. No hurries. The key is good until April 10, 2017.
This is a new trick match 3. It takes some getting used to and lots of strategy. I like the sound effects, the echoy(is that a word?)effect makes you think you are in a tomb of sorts. It would be perfect if it had more directions and how it operates. I started on the relaxed mode until I figure out how all the things work..then I will go back to the reg mode.
Thank you GGOTD and Big Fish and My PlayCity for the game and thanks to the wiley Wabbit for his review. I almost didn't download it.
Hugs to you and your family, Wabbit.

For the first time (2nd time including last week) in the 10 years I've downloaded occasional games from ggaotd, I can't install the download. I even installed, (tried to no avail and then uninstalled) WINRAR to see if that would help.
The downloads are reaching me fine, it seems, I just can't extract them.
When I click the setup, I get an activation popup and then a page opens asking me to spread the word, but nothing downloads.I'm using Windows 7.
This has never been an issue in the past and it's an even bigger shame because I haven't seen a game I've fancied for ages, then 2 come along in two weeks and I can't play them.
Any advice/ideas gratefully received.

Scepter of Ra
Download and installed well on Win10 Pro x64, a Match 3 but with some differences from the usual fare.
Somewhat complicated at first until you understand the concepts, and I would suggest reading the info files about it first before and during playing. Do like the flaming Fireballs, and some of the other powerups, but must admit, while I usually like Match 3s this one just didn't thrill me, although maybe it's just the somewhat limited gameplay so far, and will keep it and go back to it more than the few times I have so far.
Was to involved for my daughter to latch onto, and she lost interest in it fairly quickly, something that doesn't happen often. As always YMMV ;)
Do thank MPC and GGOTD for getting us these games, which is a blessing for us all!

Love this game. I found by accident if I right click while I position the colored tile, I can change its color to the next one or back again if I decided I cannot use it. Nifty!! It downloaded beautifully, the layout and the graphics are excellent. A keeper for sure. Thanks GGOTD :).

Oh, my - what a unique and challenging twist on Match 3! I love that it takes a bit more strategy, and you can take out several groups of tiles at once with a little extra thought to shove one set of colors against another. It's the best game I've seen lately, easy to stay engaged and not get bored. The tiny file size made a quick and easy download, with a flawless installation on Windows 8.1, as long as I disable AVG for 5 minutes during setup. Thanks so much GGOTD and MyPlayCity for the excellent game, and thanks WR for another great review. I found the tips and videos of gameplay very helpful to understand the rules so that I could get right into enjoying the game.

Agree with majority. Good game on Windows 10 x64 Pro. Did crash video card when first tried to run game after install. Rebooted PC and played ok, maybe trouble was using D: internal 2nd drive. Plays pretty fairly at beginning levels. Went to Relaxed as barely won Normal first game. Figure Relaxed will give me a chance to get the logic of the game. I mean you can win by banging away at the red & yellow blocks but not sure what stops what from moving when you shoot the square. Sometimes the main block stays in position, other times switches colors and moves a cell or two. I'll get the logic in a bit but game is a keeper for fans. Thanks GOTD.

Downloaded on my Win10 - no problems.
Just to let everybody know, I have been using this site for 8 years and have never had an issue with any games. Not like other places. That's why I go here first.

I like match 3 games so installed this, no problems and you can turn off the music and special effects (an essential for me, as I listen to radio plays while I play games). Seems good, a bit different to other match 3 games. Please in the tutorials could the game makers explain what you have to do to complete a level. They show you what you have to do to match the blocks, but do not tell you the significance of the colours on the tiles underneath, I think you have to match the same colour over them for them to disappear, and when they are all gone the level is complete. I am fed up with having to try to work out what the overall goal is, and what makes you fail to complete a level. This is not the only game where I have found this. But I like this one so will keep it, thank you.

Barbara, I found it very helpful to view the youtube videos of gameplay before trying my hand at this game. Then I knew what to do as soon as I launched it. Thanks to WR for including those links.

Hi everybody and Whiterabbit-UK. :-)
Preamble: I'm using Win10 home x64, DEP always on, UAC enabled with max level, custom scaling 150%, resolution 1920x1080, color depth 32bit, refresh rate 60Hz, Win10 Defender, Win10 firewall.
No problems detected after doing pre-scans and post-scans with Defender, SAS, MBAM2, EEK, GSAM.
No problems detected after I sent the package to virustotal, metadefender, jotti: links at the end of this post.
Virscan doesn't want to scan it.
Those webservices show the same false positives for GAOTD setup.exe found in last years: I won't repeat them.
No problems during game download and during its installation.
At its startup I couldn't see all the screen, therefore I had to "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings" (properties – compatibility tab).
No problems changing its options.
Thanks to the GAOTD team, in particular to Whiterabbit-UK!
Follow the white rabbit, guys!
Thanks for the game to Absolutist, Intenium, BigFishGames, MyPlayCity!

| Does not work correctly in a window when two monitors. Blocking switching between monitors, etc.

Thank you for the info. I have Win7 x64 with 2 monitors (1920x1080 and 1920x1200). I do not use special PRG. Only driver from nVidia. I'm concerned about basic procedures. E.g. ALT + ENTER changes the entire screen vs. window. Here, while changing the game window and move to monitor 2 ve remained blocked in the Monitor 1. When I jumped into another prg., I was able to monitor 2, but not in the game .. Based on the classic bug me - the game keeps monitor 1 and does not move to monitor 2

I, too, have issues with my antivirus when I try to open the game file. I just open the Norton application and go into Security, find the problem file, and click on the hard-to-see Options at the bottom of the box. Once there, I can choose to exclude this file and go ahead and open it. A long time ago I was able to tell Norton to always allow the file from GGOTD, but I'm back to having to do this every time I download a game. A little annoying, but worth the effort.
Looking forward to trying out today's game but won't be able to get to it until later. Thanks again for a new game to try!

Never had problems with it before so I didn't think of it.

Hi valboe. :-)
What antivirus are you using?

Hi everyone,
You don't need to switch off the security the whole time, just until the installer has loaded. Then you can do the installation protected by your security software.

While I'm still waiting for my email with download link (which is unusual---I usually get them immediately) thought I would ask if this is like the Arxon game we got here recently? That also involves shooting from the edges vs. the typical match 3. I'm finding that challenging but so far am doing ok with it, but this sounds even harder. I love a challenge and not the same old, same old, so I'm looking forward to this, but a bit intimidated by the idea that there isn't much help to figure out how/why certain things act as they do.
Link still not arrived. ?

Well, I finally checked the spam folder online and found the link email---in all the years I've been coming here, this is the first that didn't make it through the spam filter; hope this helps someone else.
Played for a few minutes and it is a bit hard to figure out, though so far so good. Different from Arxon in that, although you are shooting from the sidelines like Arxon, it seems the only way to stop your shot is the tiles already on the board.
I have been looking for a break from the same old, same old Match 3 (although still having a ball with Frosty Splash :)) so this one's a keeper for me, though the tension of not really being sure exactly what I'm doing is a bit frustrating. Thanks to the developers and to GGOTD!

Yup, WR, I got the hang of it basically; it's just the nuances that I think I'm a little dense on. But it's fun so far and I can see spending more time playing this as a break from the usual. Good game! BTW, installed fine on Win 8.1.
The email thing is because I don't do the Facebook thing; nothing to do with Steam. I just hit 'download' and it says to recommend on social media OR alternately, to enter my email, which I do, and then the link comes to me. That's what I always do; this is the first time the yahoo spam filters picked off a reply (which comes from GGOTD, not MPC).

Downloaded and installed on Win 10 with no problem. Nice game, that you can play for a few minutes between other tasks or sit with for a while. Took a few minutes to sort out what to do and have only played the easy levels so far - I'm sure it gets harder soon! I don't like having the 'next tile' right behind the one in use - I kept firing the wrong one - I would have preferred it elsewhere on the screen - but nice to have a 'relaxed mode' as well, as I hate timed games. Overall a keeper I think - thanks Game Giveaway.

Fran, just a heads-up in case you missed it, but that "next" tile can be kinda helpful, as if you right click it switches to the 'next' tile, which may be more a color you need.
