I will be posting a list of Steam games over in the forums that I am going to start giving away from now. Each week the best feedback posted by a community member for each giveaway will be given the choice of any game from the list I've posted. It will be quite an extensive list of games by the end of day. (I have over 10K Steam keys either paid for, received free for per-ordering games or won in competitions). I will announce the winner of each weeks game giveaway the following weekend. If there are two, three or four games given away each week, then there can be four winners. (depending on the quality of the feedback, I may choose to award a game or two to more than one community member for each game given away, 'at my discretion'). The feedback must be about the game, and it must include a couple of paragraphs of feedback following the guidelines I've posted in the suggestions section of my review. i.e. your opinion of the game, what you liked and/or disliked plus suggestions for improvement. If you choose a game that is very cheap i may give you a second game; so, when choosing from the list I provide, please list more than one choice. If a game is chosen by more than one community member I will award it to the comment i deem the most useful.
I do own at least three community members a game from the previous giveaways that I posted several months ago. I'd totally forgotten about those. I do have a document with their names on, so they will get a game from the original list I posted, or they can peruse the new list and choose something different. Just post a comment over in the forums in the appropriate thread. If you do post feedback with a view to getting one of the games, just include the name of the game at the end of your feedback.
Please remember, this comments section is mainly for feedback about today's game giveaway. If you're not sure, read the moderation policy, which you can see HERE

I forgot to mention yesterday (until the giveaway was almost over this morning) that if you activated your copy of Minion Masters you also get a second copy of the game, (thanks for reminding me Mavadelo). You'll find a second copy of the game in your Steam inventory. Please see the end of the 'Useful Information not related to today's game giveaway' located at the end of this review for more details of how to trade or give this game to one of your Steam friends.

Please only post comments about today's game giveaway; other comments either not appropriate, or not about the game will be deleted at the moderator or administrators discretion; however a little light banter among community members and with the moderator to keep this a friendly place to visit will be allowed, and will be judged by the moderator as to whether it is suitable or not to be left.
I am posting this in light of the massive increase in negative comments not related to the game being given away, inappropriate comments and spam (Almost 700 spam comments were posted last Saturday 14th Jan 17) that have occurred over the past several months since the site was updated and in particular since the site started to give away games from the Steam world and since they started using Facebook.
I truly believe that if we get lots of decent feedback about the games we get here, more developers will be happy to give away their games. Seeing lots of complaints (and spam) instead of feedback about the game given away will not persuade other developers to give their games away for free. So please bear this in mind when posting your comments. Any comment not about the game for example complaints, or if deemed unfriendly or inappropriate, will be deleted or added to the spam folder, which automatically black lists the IP address you used. Although I have enjoyed responding to many of those comments, I will no longer waste my time answering comments from community members who should have read the moderation policy.
Negative feedback about the games given away are always welcomed because they can also be very constructive for developers, however, complaining about the way the site is operating or problems about downloading or installing the games should be directed to the giveawayoftheday contact form which I've linked to HERE; alternatively, if the problem is game related and it is late in the day (I can't moderate 24 hours a day), please also post your issue in the forums where you may get a response from the community. Often, such problems are related to your computers set up. i.e. your security may block the installation (for example quite a few game giveaways I've installed have been blocked by my copy of Zemana Anti-malware suite) Also please read the moderation policy which can be found HERE and if you do have a problem please check the FAQ's thread HERE. Thank you.

Sacra Terra: Angelic Night

Sacra Terra Angelic Night 01
Sacra Terra Angelic Night 02
In Brief

A casual Hidden Object Game with Adventure (point and click) elements and a large hospital to explore. Beautifully illustrated.
The demons of the Seven Deadly Sins have broken free of their fiery prison and taken up residence in Sacra Terra! Use your cunning to defeat each demon and rescue humanity from destruction! As you explore a decaying hospital, unlock the secrets of a medieval abbey, and search eerie catacombs, you'll receive help from a pure spirit known only as Angel. Who she is and what happened to her is just one of the shocking truths you will uncover as you find well-hidden clues, gather useful items, and solve cleverly designed puzzles! The Collector's Edition of Sacra Terra: Angelic Night contains a bonus chapter, a step-by-step walk through, desktop wallpapers, and concept art.
Some of the images I've posted were taken from the Collectors Edition. The MyPlayCity version is not the collectors edition. I purchased the collectors edition via Steam several years ago.

Suggestions:

Whether you like or dislike Sacra Terra: Angelic Night please give some feedback about your opinion of the game, for example, what you liked or disliked about it, and how it could be improved from your point of view. If you don't like this genre at all, if you have a little time, please explain why. What improvements would change your opinion?
There are thousands of subscribers to the game giveaway of the day every weekend which makes this an ideal forum for giving developers ideas as to what their consumers (i.e you) would like to see in a game. For example, you could suggest extra content such as better or more original mini games, or a level editor that you would like to see that would make it more appealing to you. Maybe you think the graphics are a little dated and are in need of re skinning, or maybe you've just had enough of the genre and want to see something different or something with more originality?Giving such feedback instead of saying nothing or just saying this game is rubbish may bring more developers to the site, which could mean more and better games. Would you give away thousands of copies of a game (or extra content for a game) away to a community that complains all the time instead of giving useful feedback? It only takes a few moments of your time. This site could be transformed if only the community would be more forthcoming in their opinions of the games they are getting for free.

Sacra Terra Angelic Night 04 intro9
Sacra Terra Angelic Night 05
If you have a problem installing or activating or getting Sacra Terra: Angelic Night to work please visit the problems section, which you can find HERE

The Game:

You find yourself awakening in a rundown mental hospital, alone and with no memory of how you came to be there. Very quickly you learn that not only are you in danger, but the whole world is as well. Due to a magical ritual that went horribly wrong, the demons of the seven deadly sins have been released in Sacra Terra and you must find a way to send them back to the beyond before they are released into the world at large.

During your adventure in Sacra Terra: Angelic Night you will meet the demons that represent the seven deadly sins and defeat them through various means. On your journey you will be aided by the ghost/spirit of a young woman known only as Angel. She will guide you to clues so you can decipher what truly happened at the hospital and how it can be undone.

Sacra Terra Angelic Night 06
Sacra Terra Angelic Night 07
Along the way you will be searching hidden object scenes for numerous items and solving a variety of puzzles. Many of the puzzles are ones you’ve seen before but several of them are presented with a slight twist. The puzzles aren’t too difficult, but if you become stuck they can be skipped. There are also numerous inventory based puzzles as well.

You will be searching through numerous hidden objects scenes, and hopefully you have good eyes. Many items are small and well hidden. Luckily, the graphics are clear and, while the items are small, the scenes are well lit. If you still cannot find an item you can use the hint button. The hint button also works outside the hidden object scenes. Another helpful feature is a built-in map that shows all the active spots in the game. Unfortunately it does not allow for quick travel, which would have been a nice feature considering how much you are walking back and forth through multiple rooms.

Sacra Terra is, simply put, a beautiful game. The artwork is incredibly detailed, and creates an amazingly haunting atmosphere. You don’t spend much time in the rundown mental asylum portion of the hospital, quickly moving on to much more pleasant scenery. On your adventure you will visit a replica of Notre Dame Cathedral, the catacombs beneath the hospital, a graveyard, a charming cottage and numerous other scenes. If you click around the scenes you will get various comments about items in the room. This is a wonderful feature that really breathes life into the world and is reminiscent of early adventure games, where you could look at everything and get a description.

Sacra Terra Angelic Night 22
Sacra Terra Angelic Night 32
There is no voice acting in the game, and while it would have been a nice addition, it does not detract from the game. As you are the only person besides Angel (and the demons who don’t speak) there isn’t a lot of dialogue. Most of the story comes from reading the notes that are scattered about and referring to your journal. If you don’t pay attention to these items the story can become a bit disjointed.

If you wish to upgrade to the collectors edition you can get it via Steam (see the link I've provided above) for £1.99/$2.99. (For US citizens if you have a UK Steam friend pay them to buy it for you becasue it works out cheaper at $2.50 plus whatever you have to pay for transferring the cash to them via PayPal, usually a few cents). The Collector’s Edition of Sacra Terra includes approximately an hour of bonus gameplay that ties into the main story. There is also a built in strategy guide, wallpapers and concept art. There are also 42 morphing objects to be found throughout the game.

Conclusion:

A gorgeously illustrated adventure game with lots of Hidden Object scenes, an excellent journal and a map that shows your progress. Although six years old, this is one of the better hidden Object games i've played over the years. Well worth downloading. It's got a horror theme so probably isn't suitable for young children. 9 out of 10 from me.

You can either select Sending the gift directly through Steam or emailing the gift to your friend. If you elect to send it via Steam, check next to where it says Send my gift directly through Steam. You should then see a list of all of your friends. If your friend already owns a copy you will see written next to their name in orange that they already own the game. Just finished playing this excellent game. Thank you so much! It was nice and long, with a good story line. I love finding morphing objects-which they called possessed in this game. I could only play a little at a time but it kept my interest. Graphics were very nice, even though the corners were dark. The mini-games were good also. The only way I would improve it would be to have an inter-active map. Without the map at all, I am sure I would have become totally lost and not enjoyed it. The HO scenes were good and it was a nice touch that each object you found was labeled. I would have liked to be able to revisit scenes after completion to get all the possessed objects. There is no list to check, only a pop up with you find one with the number you have found.

I really enjoyed this game. It kept me interested and it was just challenging enough. I'd like a sequel. Keep those good HO games coming.
Thank you

I really enjoyed this game. My usual complaint is that these games are over too quickly, but this one had a lot of content and different stages.
It was quite a complicated map, tho, and sometimes hard to find the next task. It was great to have the map, but would have been better to be able to teleport to the next place

I'm enjoying this game. One improvement as far as I'm concerned, is the map. There is so much too-ing and fro-ing that it would be really useful to be able to click on a location and be directed there automatically.

Sacra Terra: Angelic Night
Downloaded and installed well on Win10 Prox64, and nice graphics and a engaging storyline, even if it is not suitable for kids imho, and as such my daughter doesn't get to play this one. Lot of interesting curves for a HOG and must admit they're not my favorite genre, and don't like demon/evil storylines much, but this is a well done game of this type.
Know I'm a bit late to this but have been up to the hospital much as my daughter is struggling a bit lately, but wanted to contribute too ;)

I like this game. The HO scenes are clear, but not too easy. Puzzles are also not too easy. The only thing I'd change is that I'd make the map more interactive, so that you can move from place to place using the map instead of having to back up, back up, go up, back up, go right, go right, etc.

...........................................Moderator comment...................................

I agree, it would have been a nice touch to be able to move via the map..

HI,

It took a few minutes to download and opened easily. The game play was easy. It made you work at it a bit adding to enjoyment! You can go back and forth finding the next move. The story is typical of this genre, but held my interest. Still trying to figure out why! Thanks for another good game!

Hey Wrascally Wabbit,

I, actually, already own this one. I got it in a package deal of 4 games through Big Fish, I think. The 4 games featured in this pack are collectors editions containing bonus material and extras not found in the standard editions. it included the following games; Sacra Terra: Angelic Night CE, Sacra Terra: Kiss of Death CE, House of 1000 Doors: Family Secrets CE and House of 1000 Doors: Palm of Zoroaster CE.I think some of these have been given away here before. I don't think I finished any of them. I do remember wishing I had a "portal" so I get around faster. I did have to use clues at times. Some of those objects are well hidden. As I have said many times, I am not a fan of hogs but some I do try.......Mostly because of your reviews. You make them sound so good. Keep doing them..PLEASE!

For some of you PopCap fans..Steam has a free game of Peggle Extreme. http://store.steampowered.com/app/3483/

Thanks to MPC and GGOTD for the game. And big huggles to you and your family, Wabbit. Awesome review.

P.S. I have over 400 games on Steam that I haven't played so I don't need a free one from you. Give it to someone else..OK?

...........................................Moderator comment...................................

Nice one Delenn, I've got two of those on Steam (Sacra Terra: Angelic Night CE and House of 1000 Doors: Palm of Zoroaster CE). I used to have around 40 un-played games around 3 or 4 years ago, but after David passed away ( a very good Steam friend), I went a little crazy buying game son Steam, and now have over 2000 un-played games. I've been trying to keep on top of it for the past three years, but my purchases have far out stripped the number of games i've been able to play effectively each day. Crazy really. my New Years resolution was to not buy too many games this year; holding the thought that I want to buy a VR head set and three new 27ii BenQ gaming monitors. As always, thanks for your comment.

as often, I'm passing and not thumbing - looks very nice, and the review is encouraging, but I have too many HOGs and this one just doesn't entice me - don't feel that warrants either an up or a down. Thanks!

This is a nice game for HOG lovers. Not too dark, no annoying music, decent graphics and not too easy in the hard mode.
One suggestion to all HOG developers: an extreme mode would be a welcome feature. Such as slow hints with a short time to find the items, or only guiding arrows to the next scene, without any hints.
Thanks a lot for this one.

As always, thank you so much for another neat HO/Adventure game! This is my favorite genre, especially when HOGs are interspersed with puzzles that bend the mind a bit. This one d/l'd and installed fine and plays well though, like many of these, the whole dark lighting thing is getting tiring a bit. Haven't played too long but enjoying it so far and with 14 runes to find (and a bunch of "beyond objects" as a hidden surprise), this should last a while.

Again, thanks for a very playable game that doesn't require jumping through hoops to obtain. BTW, just wanted to mention I'm approaching 2 million points in Fishdom Frosty Splash which I got here. I don't know if I should be proud or embarrassed :).

Looks like a good game, but this one, along with about half the others I've downloaded recently, appears in a small box on my monitor. I have tried both the resolutions in the "options" menu, but both are small. What's the trick to get these to come up full screen? I'm on a 22" desktop monitor. Do I have to change my monitor settings to be able to see this fullscreen? HOGs just can't be played in a small box on the screen. My eyes are bad enough!

...........................................Moderator comment...................................

I don't remember it starting in windowed mode. Have you checked the options menu to see if you can adjust the window, or to make sure it is in full screen mode?

Thank you kindly for this really nice HOG with pristine quality scenes. Not too dark and story line is good. It is keeping my interest and it may be one I keep. Most I play and delete when finished. I for one like Whiterabbit's analyses of games. Keep up the good work bringing us free games we can try!

This is the second program which I have been able to download and activate but neither show a link to install. I did mention this concerning the previous game and it's doing the same thing with today's GotD.

Could somebody please advise as to what might be causing this to happen? As I mentioned previously, it's most likely something going on with my computer. I was advised that it could be my security program but stopping it from running didn't help.

I do get a message asking if I want to allow this program to run. I acknowledge yes, that window disappears, the program downloads, activates and that's it.

Any additional thought would be kindly appreciated.

Hello HisSon

Does the giveaway executable disappear once you've tried to install the game? I get that with some, but not all giveaways and it is my anti logger that is deleting the executable. I had problems installing giveaways for a couple of months late last summer and into Autumn until a guy from Microsoft accessed my computer and found the culprit in less than a minute. turned out to be another security software that I'd forgotten I'd installed. I had to change my motherboard after my daughter trashed it. That for some reason changed my start up and that program ran without me knowing. if I'd looked more closely at the right context menu when right clicking on an executable i would have seen the program. After it was deleted, I had no problems until installing the anti-logger a few months ago.

HisSon,

Thank you so much for your response to my difficulty with installing these games.

If I understand your question correctly, I would say that this must be what's been happening because I never even see the executable which would correspond with my description of what's taking place i.e. after activating there's no executable available.

Not sure what an anti logger is or where to find it. I don't think anything else has otherwise changed i.e. new motherboard, etc.

Thank you. You've given me some hope.

I was talking about Zemana Antilogger. They stop hidden programs from recording your key strokes. If you have it installed it will look like a small gold/yellow coloured icon in the tray next to the clock and has the letter Z in the middle. Failing that, try right clicking on the zip file once downloaded and look through the drop down menu for anything resembling a security program. If you see one, close it down, at least temporarily, usually via the Task Manager..

I would like to have the map interactive, so that I can jump with a single click to my next task.

Hi Peter,

That's a very good idea, tohugh as the game is six year sold, it/s unlikely the developer will bother. But you never know? :)

Well I'm pretty worn out on the HOG concept but reviews of this one, review, posts here do look promising
just for art work alone.
BTW nearly passed on game when speeding through initial introd from moderator: "The newly installed game is 358 GB in size. "
My initial thought was gosh this must be a heck of a game. Then read no voices. hmm must be typo. Online searches showed it is more like 364 MB in size. Sure I now see that listed up top but I sped right past that part to read the review of the game with that 358 GB typ[. So not to worry if one has same reaction. Thanks for what looks like a fascinating HOG. Other equally glowing reviews point in that direction.

...........................................Moderator comment...................................

There are two versions of this game, the standard and the Collectors versions. The collectors version is larger due to the extra content that is included. The sizes quoted in the review are correct. The initial download includes both the game exe, plus the wrapper and the setup .gcd file. Once installed I check the installed size of the game to find the correctly installed size. Not sure where the game saves are saved but I suspect it's in the registry. I also have the Collectors Edition, which I purchased via Steam. that version is 438MB when installed. .

I posted earlier in case someone was put off by the typo of 358 GB thinking it might be too big to d/l and/or to pile up on a SSD. Not to worry since is usual MB size.
Played game for a few levels nicely on Windows 10 x 64 Pro. Fine graphics, game play select casual or advanced as to time for hint reload and whether to highlight areas. Story flows well, engaging without being really creepy even tho leans to 'dark' side as these often do. Think designers are doing that
to hold player's interest about saving the unknown in face of nasty bad things.
Has a map to show where you are. Only looked at that briefly but probably will come in handy though don't think one can teleport. For that reason I used casual & hit hint button a lot. Game does seem it won't cause too much heavy backtracking; just switch among a few screens per area for clues & bits needed to move further on.
Used to hate to get 20 levels deep only to be told I need something on level 2.
Music sliders for decent sounds. Can set screen size & cursor. And yes some of the tiny HOGS are tricky elements like a thin pen laying along chair leg or something. Pro players are hip to there tricks but unless game has a fast hint reload I'm out of there. This one does it well. Thanks again GOTD.

Thanks for the feedback and the heads up re the typo. We had a 1GB game some time ago. I was using the skeleton of the review and had forgotten to edit the GB to MB. I keep a basic format with all the headings for the various sections of my reviews to save time having to type out the titles and code. Surprised it has only been mentioned by you. (I missed it when you first mentioned it earlier in the day), then maybe not as I reckon most community members don't read every word, lol. Will edit it now. :)

Took awhile to download over DSL, big file, but no issues and installed fine on WIn10 Home x64. Very nice graphics! The music and ambient sound are wonderful. Some of the hidden objects are very hidden. I generally try to avoid using hints, stubborn, but have needed to a couple of times thus far. The game is very immersive. A good one to turn off all the lights and play in a dark room. ☠

Odd, my comment got cut off there so putting the rest here...

If I had one complaint it would be that the descriptive writing that appears at the top of the screen when clicking on something is so tiny! I wish they had used a larger font.

Thanks to MPC, Alawar, GGOTD team and, as always, Whiterabbit-uk.

Thanks for the feedback JBoy. What size monitor do you use? I use a 24.5'' monitor and although i have poor eye sight, it seems okay. My gripe would be the dialogue disappears a little faster than I'd like, but that was only becasue i was screen capturing for the review and found I would have to repeat the capture on several occasions becasue the dialogue had gone before I'd taken the screen shot. :)

I am on a 17" laptop. Could also be that it is that dark orange color text on a black background. Stays long enough to read but I could see how doing screen captures could become an annoyance. If you don't already, try the shift+PrtScn keys to capture page. It is the quickest way I know.

Hello JBoy

Thanks will try that. I usually use windows snipping tool or Ashampoo's Snip 2017 and sometimes Capture Whiz Pro, though my version of that program is now quite old (v4). I will try shift+PrtScn next time to see if it is any better, or quicker. I can imagine how small it would be on a 17 '' monitor. (My main monitor has very good contrast as well and has a controller that gives me three settings to choose from, so I can change the contrast quickly on the fly at the press of a button if required). Whiterabbit,

[ Not sure who "Hello HisSon" is but that might have been a typo on your end. :-) ]

Did you mean Ashampoo Snap? if so,
SharewareOnSale is currently offering v8 for free. In case you do not know of them, they are a trustworthy site and everything they offer is clean. I have been using them for years. I am not sure if I am alllowed to post a link here but, if so, here it is:
https://sharewareonsale.com/s/free-ashampoo-snap-6-19-99-value

If the link does not show, go to the site and scroll down the first page and you will find it about half way down. I got it the other day and still trying to figure out how to work with it. :P

Do try the shift+PrtScn though. Then you just paste it where you need it. Can't imagine anything being much quicker than that.

...........................................Moderator comment...................................

Sorry about that. I have various coded paragraphs which i copy and paste to save me having to type the whole lot out. I'd just posted a reply to HisSon before yours, but forgot to change the name. corrected now.

Got it earlier but haven't installed it yet. I usually drop in to Failmid's site once a week. Thanks for mentioning it though.

LOL, this game has been free on MyPlayCity.com for a while along with numerous others. Go there and download rightaway. And there is NO time limit.

...........................................Moderator comment...................................

The community in the main are aware that these games are always free via MPC, however, the risk of getting toolbars, having your home page changed or your provider changed has been removed from the giveaway version.

Love this game. This was my first point and click adventure game that I tried several years ago and it got me hooked on this type of game ever since. I can't get enough. They are getting better, the graphics are wonderful, love the fact that there are many types of games within the games and now come with maps etc to make navigation easier. Please bring us more of these ...best of all they are long playing with various modes from easy-relaxing to hard-expert. Thank you

I like this Hospital HOG. It is not too dark, Dark I don't like. These are old school HOG graphics, so OK. It took me two hints to find the key, what a dummy I am. I kept going down the hallway with creepiness. I enjoyed the angels and demons, who doesn't like Sealy Booth the fighter. Its old school but good this game.
I enjoy any military type game. Arcanoid games with ball and paddle are good for me as well.

...........................................Moderator comment...................................

Hi Ed

Sounds like you have similar tastes to me (I love breakouts and military sims (ArmA 2 and 3)and more game like run and gun games (like COD and MOH), though I also love first person RPG's like The elder Scrolls and Fallout 3/4 and New Vegas as well as physics based puzzles like world of goo and unusual platformers like Gish.

I for one do not mind long reviews. No one is forcing anybody to read them after all.

This game looks fantastic, I'm sure the wife will love it.

If there are any technical difficulties I'll report back but unfortunately it might be a few days which won't help much I'm afraid as the 24 hour period will have expired.

Thanks again MyPlayCity and GGotD!

...........................................Moderator comment...................................

Hi Jack

That's absolutely true; the scroll bar is there to be used if a community member doesn't want to bother with the review. :)The MPC version is basically the same. once you've downloaded it, you just need to make sure you uncheck the three check boxes to avoid extras like toolbars being installed, or your provider and home page being changed. Once installed it's the same game, so, if you do have problems post giveaway, you can still get the game for free, or buy it for less than the price of a cup of coffee from Steam. ;)

Oh, and PS:

Because a game has a scary theme hardly means that it isn't suitable for families. Many, many of these hidden object games have a scary theme because the people that play them love it!

If you had followed the moderator rules your comment would have been left, but as it is a comment that shows and disrespects this community and the moderator it has been deleted. for your information Mavadelo is a good friend of mine. I respect his opinions and welcome any input he posts here. Sadly there are always disgruntled people that are not welcome here. If you were a decent person you wouldn't post such things on this site. I do enjoy replying to them all, but as I've already said, unless I'm in the mood, I won't be replying to many now as I have better things to do worth my time than respond to such comments. By the way, your IP had already been blacklisted, so the comment you posted (which i have kept a record of) would only be seen by you and the moderators and administrators of this site. No one in the community would have seen it.

dude your review its like 20 pages full

...........................................Moderator comment...................................

It's all the images and extra information I provide. I have tried to reduce the size by removing information I used to include. Unfortunately due to all the spam and feedback not associated with the game I've had to include a long statement explaining what is required. Plus I do think it important to provide as much information about the game as I can. To compromise, i will remove some of the images to reduce the length. All have been posted in a slideshow.

Whiterabbit-uk thanks for the fantastic review. 20 pages is not too long for someone interested in investing a few hours of their time in a great free game.

...........................................Moderator comment...................................

Thank you Claw. Some community members raised this issue last year, and as a consequence I did reduce the length of my reviews significantly, deleting some of the information that wasn't necessary for the game and instead posted links to the removed information in the forums. Unfortunately, due to the massive increase in negative comments and spam, I've had to include lengthy explanations of what we are trying to do to combat such behavior as well as try to explain why we should only be posting about the actual game, with of course some latitude so as to keep this a friendly place to visit, and promote friendly banter among community members.
Unfortunately trolls seems to be hell bent on trying to destroy this community by their foul language and bad behavior as well as inane comments and insults against various decent community members. The time I previously wasted replying to many of those comments was impacting on other things such as spending time with my family, so I felt i had to explain to the community what I would be doing from now on. Ii.e deleting their comments with no response). Post such as yours are even though not directly related to today's game are however very welcome and I will always be happy to spend time replying to them. I'd would like to reduce the size of the reviews a little because I am still spending a lot of time, especially over the weekend here instead of doing other things I enjoy. Hopefully as things get back to normal (I'm sure those trolls will eventually get bored if they get no response s and go annoy other communities. It's a pity there are no laws governing such behavior, that would then enable punishments to be administered to those offenders - maybe one day?)). Hopefully I'll no longer have to post those explanations eventually, and just post about the game. I am thinking of removing the 'Useful Information not related to today's game giveaway' to the game discussion forums and just giving a link to it. That should help cut down on the length without losing any important information about the giveaway. I may even reduce the number of images I post becasue I usually also include a slide show of all the images I've captured or found online anyway. Those reductions would effectively half the length of the review without adversely affecting it's usefulness. At the moment I'm so busy with other things I've not really thought much about it until the comment was made earlier this morning.

Wow, how can you complain about an indepth review? If one does not want to read Whiterabbit-uk's full review, they can always advance to the "Conclusion" portion but don't fault the guy for extending himself and being detailed.

Whiterabbit-uk many of us appreciate the time you put in and value your reviews. It often determines if I download a game or not. Thanks for so being thorough.

...........................................Moderator comment...................................

Thank you JBoy

Your comment is appreciated. Unfortunately there will always be a segment of the community that is not happy with whatever you try to do for them. I've always tried my best to give as much information as possible. It's comments like yours that will keep me coming back time and time again. Thankfully there are far more decent community members than there are trolls, (though I think Troll is too good a name for them as it belittles the true meaning of Troll. (A decent and unusual breakout game given away here in the first year, or the rather stupid trolls depicted in The Hobbit or those cute trolls that sat atop your pencil when you were a school kid, originating from the Old Norse language. I know there are only a couple or three people trolling this site with particular comments, who seen to delight in changing their name, but their syntax and other signs give away their actual identities. I've almost managed to stop myself from replying to most of their comments as I realize a response is what they crave. Hopefully I'll be able to ignore them totally at some point; trouble is i still enjoy replying to them. Most of those comments go unseen by the community apart from the troll themselves. You should see some of the comments they post, some do get through, at least until the IP has been black- listed.
