OMG! i can't believe i tried this game. What crap! All it did was give my fingers a workout going back and forth.. back and forth.. Eh, i guess was looking for something mindless, i sure found it.. But enough bad mojo, it was cute.

My Complaint was that when it installs, it adds "extra" shortcuts to the favorites in my browser, to my desktop, and to the startmenu.. i'm surprised it didn't try to ROOT itself in the startup group like a virus.. When i uninstalled it, it LEFT ALL THAT CRAP BEHIND!! That's like FREE - with a PRICE!!!

Bottom line, i'll never download a program from that company, AND i will be sure to make sure i check the comments left by others before i even consider downloading a game... I would have never tired it if i checked here first.. thanks everyone! you guys rock!

This is by far the woooorrrrsssttt game in the history of GGOTD with the rating of 22% good - 78% bad. I wonder if DoubleGames and FreeGames4Rest still have a bunch of games that would be rated below 20% good here.

The game is made by DoubleGames, and like all the rest of their titles, is a complete and utter waste of time. NO MORE DOUBLEGAMES.

I need a clarification my fellow GGOTDer's - is DoubleGames and Freegames4rest the same company or are they actually two different companies at the same "suck" level? From the post comments I get confused if they are one in the same company or one in the same as far as quality.

Just a note to "whiterabbit", aka Stephen......know you are a fan of arkanoid games....have you played Aztec Ball.....just discovered it...what a cool take on the paddle, and physics to destroy all the levels.

I am certainly a fan of GGOTD, but I am getting just a little frustrated with the offerings lately....have not kept one for at least two weeks. I think that maybe it's time to switch to a new supplier, and the games offered recently by doublegame (or whatever) and the various aliases, as the games are not only very boring, but clones of each other and poorly developed. I tried the arkanoid game...and that was a joke...on the right of the screen the paddle took several seconds to move to get the ball, and by that time you had lost a life. I'm not critical of this site at all....everything is free, but would ask if you could please get some games from other places soon. Thanks for your efforts.

At least, I hope that's what it is...

Doublegames has a few alias names, this is one of them.
GGOTD how about breaking up the string of doublegames and its various aliases with a company having something worthy of download.

Judging from the comments, this game sucks! Did you notice how many times they have dangled Peggle Deluxe on the sidelines? I think they're just giving away the crappiest games they can find so people will buy Peggle Deluxe just to have something totally AWESOME! to play. I doubt they'll ever give Peggle away, they'll just keep dangling it like a carrot while they continue to give away crap!

This looks like a good time to repeat my suggestion:
How about giving away screensavers AND games on this page? I do like the occasional ss and any ss would HAVE to be better than what we are getting from DGames and FreeGames4Rest.

I have downloaded from here awhile but this is the first time i've commented. I can't talk about today's offering because it a doublegames game. I dislike Doublegames. Their games are lame and boring. Most people here agree that doublegames are not the best quality games. PLEASE PLEASE,GOTD, staff stop offering their games. Whatever they are paying you to offer their games, I'm sure your users would ante up and pay you twice their offer to keep them off of your site.... for good. Tell us how to pay and we will. Hey I appreciate a free game like everyone else but I hate to waste a week because of useless games from Doublegames. My time is up, I said what I wanted to say. Have fun everyone

Good morning everyone! ;)

I'm not going to review this game in detail - it's simply not worth my time. I did download it for review, played a few levels and couldn't believe how boring AND dreadful this game happens to be.

The only positive remark about today's game is that it downloaded/activated and installed well without a glitch, either during installation or game play.

I really am becoming disenchanted with the games side of GotD, since Double Games and FreeGames4Rest seem to be their main showcase lately.

Uninstalled - Double-thumbs-down and 0/10 on all counts. (Maybe 1/2 point for graphics.)

Thanks anyway GotD - but think I'll cruise a couple of other game download sites today.

Pick a different game to play today friends! :-|

This is EXACTLY the same as Painter Madness given away for FREE on DoubleDay Games. I downloaded it and it can pass an entertaining 5 minutes - but after that, forget it. You use the mouse to guide the falling bucket of paint through the holes in the floors - they go faster and faster as the bucket "falls" and the holes get smaller and farther apart - I think it's random drawing of the floors though, because sometimes I can get farther than others, so each game is "unique" I guess. At some point, the hole will be too far away to get to and you'll crash. Yeah, it had me and the kids laughing, but we only played for a few minutes before moving onto something else.

Has anyone read the HOME page for this site?

Game Giveaway of the day - what's that?

Well, that's a convenient initiative allowing you to get the best commercial games - for free. Every day we offer licensed game titles you'd have to buy otherwise, for free!

Notice it says the "best commercial games". I haven't downloaded anything in over a week - and I wouldn't rate most of them as "commercial quality" let alone the best.

Sorry to be so negative - but I would only buy this in a package deal aimed at "office destresser multi pack games", and probably not even then.

I suppose somebody will love it though. I keep my copy around to entertain my mentally challenged 4yo niece. She hasn't a clue what she 's doing - but sure laughs a lot at it.

I vote that GGOTD merge back with GOTD. I mean, the days where they only have a screensaver to give on GOTD, why not just put a good game that you've been sitting on for a while, and thats actually a game and not just a place holder for a free advertsment on GGOTD?

Unless of course GGOTD get paid to post that crap.

Sorry I forgot to mention (I do wish there was the facility to edit our posts), there is no music or sound, despite it having buttons to disable these and the game cannot be played in full screen mode despite having the facility to maximise it. All in all it is as unfinished as it is an advert.

Ok, here's the score - Freegames4rest and Double Games are both vendors and developers. Their own software is very basic with similar cartoony graphics, simple game play, often the same games with different themes (Fishing Trip, Butterfly Catcher, Magnetic Bait) and little substance, depth or strategy. But this seems to have been done purposely; assumption would have it that the developer side of the companies knock out these very basic games quickly and offer them for free, promoting the games for which they are vendors from other developers at the same time. The games that they vend have been properly developed and produced and are worth paying for. If you click on the games advertised when Freegames4rest/ Double Games titles are given away, uniquely they are download boxes as opposed to web pages. They download trial versions of the game in the hope that you will buy them. Their own games are no more than adverts for these games from other developers and are as such very basic and very quickly put together. They offer their own freebies (that are dishonestly said to be paid for - $14.95 indeed!!) whilst advertising other developers' titles. That is what is going on.

This game is akin to the poor quality of other titles from this "developer" and is debatably not even worth downloading. There are platforms rolling down the screen each with a space in them. Using your left and right arrow key (the mouse cannot be used) you have to guide your tin of paint through these holes, if your tin is on the platform that reaches the top of the screen then it will be squashed and you will lose the game.

I'm afraid I'm struggling with good points of the game but I suppose these include an instructions page (not something that this developer has utilised a lot of) and demonstration and brightly coloured graphics. Everything else is simple and is set to try and lure you into viewing the titles that they vend for other, professional developers - in the game itself is a button to see "More Games" that will promote these proper games.

It does, however, remind me of a game I used to play as a kid in the 80s on a BBC Micro, "Crash" - I did used to like that game so perhaps children from 5-10 years would get some entertainment from this.

FreeGames4Rest/ Double Games seem to have had a field day when they came across this site and are perhaps churning out these basic games only to advertise "their" other titles. This would perhaps explain the aforementioned games of exact same game play but different themes - it is quick and easy to just change the theme and bill it as a brand new game. It is absolutely NOT true that these games are paid for or offered anywhere at the prices stated on the top of this page. Sadly, when FreeGames4Rest/ Double Games titles are offered on this site, downloading is no more than downloading an advert to your hard drive.

Sadly, I therefore think it is time, when this developer comes up on here, for us to all "Run Gamers, Run".

I think 75% negative reviews are a kind of a record, and should give GGoTD the hint that DoubleGames/FreeGames4Rest doesn't really give out good software. I'm not against DoubleGames, but the vast majority of the games given away lately have been from them, and most of the comments are negative. I'm wondering if GGoTD has problems finding other game sites?

Thanks for the Info #3 and #5.
Yes I did notice that #3, I went and checked the site and you can get the free TRIAL versions but have to pay for the Unlimited version, yet some ARE listed on the web as FREEWARE, being free ALL of the time as noted in the links provided by #5, yet CHARGE for the software at their own site (Ironically named FreeGames4Rest), Scandalous!
I'm not sure if Freegames4rest is Doublegames using a different name due to the bad publicity they get here (well deserved from my experience). I wasn't at all impressed by the last game I tried from them (uninstalled it in less time I took downloading/testing it) or anything I've seen offered from Doublegames (same company?).

Comparing file sizes to the link provided by #5 it's a 1.5Mb file there (listed as FREEWARE), 1.87Mb here, and I think that is ONLY from the inclusion of the Activate.exe+Readme.txt files. I'm not going to bother to download it to find out for certain, but I bet I'm correct.

This statment at the top:
"The program is available for $14.95, but it will be free for our visitors as a time-limited offer." A blatant lie, as you can get it free ANYTIME (except from the publishers site!).
I feel sorry for anyone who shells out $14.95 for FREEWARE

Thanks for the offer anyway , I still appreciate all of the cool free games that get offered here.

I never liked the quality (or lack thereof) in games by DoubleGames or any of their aliases. After giving them a few chances too many, I won't even download their crap. But the evidence produced by Belgian dude(#5) is the last straw.
No doubt the GOTD Pep Squad will be along with their long,drawn-out, sunshiney posts about the bright side of companies trying to rip people off. It'll be amusing to see them try to spin this debacle.
And be interesting to see if Giveaway Of The Day continues to offer games from this publisher.
