I had this one on my last computer, so I'm glad to get it back. I too have trouble seeing all the objects, but the graphics are so gorgeous, and I love ancient Rome or Greece themes, so I don't mind. The hints recharge quickly, and I'm a really casual gamer, so I'm just... along for the ride, I guess you could say.
Thanks, everybody!

No problem with installation, and it seems to be registered (Win7Pro x64). My only question is this: As soon as the game opened, it used my nickname. How did it know it was "me?"

Regarding The game not running in windows 10.
Try turning your antivirus off then install.
Make sure you don't have any graphics programs running
when you try to run the game.
Good Luck & Happy Gaming

Guess worth a shot but from just the 2 pix & comments I have mixed feelings.
Objects look kinda well hidden. In some of these pictures games if hover cursor over the image the text may show. Helps if image is messy.
Just wonder if lute pix had text saying loot, lol. Like the lute was now loot hidden amongst all that stash. Especially find ones using outline method to be a real deal buster. Thanks GOTD

beergas, Ok gave quick lookie. Runs in reduced screen on big monitor but still decent size. Usual sliders. Nice enough graphics. Windows 10 x64 Pro install ok, but sometimes you have to click on item being searched for a few times since doesn't seem all that responsive (like failed to take click). Hints are fast though so easy enough to know you are in right spot. Short tutorial does indicate how you may need an inventory item to interact with a screen item to find the searched item. Overall it's a keeper for me & I'm just a moderate fan of this genre. Worth getting into once past feeling of maybe this is a shallow game.

Many of the objects are difficult even to see. Some are invisible. I used the help button for more than half of the objects. Sometimes help would highlight an area but nothing was visible in that area no matter how hard I looked. Clicking on it would make an object appear out of nowhere.
I appreciate a difficult game but this has far too many parts that are just impossible without using help. Very frustrating.

little ricky, did you try to use different DNS-servers? like 8.8.8.8 or 208.67.222.222 or 208.67.220.220
Try to ping the webaddres you want to reach. Ping is a Win-command
does a DNS-flush make any difference? Also a Win-command

little ricky, I understand, that from your home no computer can access GOTD.
At work, no problem.
Both the same ISP.
Still: same ISP, so they do not not block GOTD.
All PC at home: common part is your router/modem.
So did you do a ping? ping www.giveawayoftheday.com ??
This is a check: if there is no answer, then the site is not reachable from your house.
Do also a ping www.google.nl and compare the results.
If you do not do a ping, then you know nothing. Then you are assuming.
Take a look at the log-files of your modem/router.
Is it possible to take one of your home-PC to your work and test it?
Or a mobile with WiFi?

Although I love HOGs, I'm going to pass on today's offering because one thing I really, REALLY dislike is a HOG that uses pictures instead of text to tell you what you have to find. I know it makes the game easier to market to any country (no translations needed!) but it puts me right off.
So to all HOG developers: please DON'T use picture "clues" — or even worse, OUTLINE "clues" that show just the shape of the object to find. I can sort-of tolerate that for maybe ONE location, but definitely NOT for an entire game!

Cad Delworth, interesting point. I have a different perspective (that's what makes this world interesting :)). For me, having a picture (I agree that outlines are silly) helps because it gives me a better idea of what the object looks like; too many objects can have a variety of shapes, colors, etc. That said, from what I've read on other sites, this one has targets that are hard to see and not always as depicted, so I'm guessing I'm not going to love it, but haven't tried playing yet.
What I really hate is a HOG where all the HOG scenes are bits and pieces of objects instead of whole object, as some of these bits are VERY hard to identify. I like that for the occasional scene, but not for a whole game. I've been playing one this week called Ghost Ship that I like a lot, but it has all its HOGs made up of bits and pieces and is getting very old very fast.

Cad Delworth, I hate that, too, so you're not the only one!

Cad Delworth, You might want to try this one. It's not your usual 'picture' HOG and is quite hard in spots. They did a great job in hiding a lot of the objects. :-)

Cad Delworth, I prefer a picture because often people refer to the same item with different names. Example : Lift/elevator

D Webb, The one I just love is compass. I never know which compass I'm looking for. :-)
