Pretty good control with the left mouse button. My highest, so far, is 11. I couldn't see any way to exit without Task Manager

Please see Cad's comment below. I may have misunderstood the controls. The chevrons may control the speed of the vehicles. I assumed they were to change the direction of the traffic, but they appeared disabled to me at the time. I'm actually really busy this evening with family, but will check later to see if Cad is correct (I'm assuming he is) and will then amend my review to reflect the information Cad posted. (Thanks Cad).
Rolling Car
In Brief
Rolling Car is a perpetual motion (until you crash) runner game, with little control over the game. You can see a video of game play HERE
The Game
This is a perpetual motion game commonly called a runner game. In this game your obstacles are other vehicles. Basically there are two circular routes that crossover, You vehicle is travelling in one direction on one of the circular routes the other route has initially one vehicle usually travelling in the opposite direction; but occasionally travels in the same direction as your vehicle. After your vehicle has made a few circuits of these routes, more vehicles may appear; more on the opposite circular route and on hard difficulty others on a straight road that transects both circles. If your vehicle, located on the left hand track hits any vehicle, that's the end of the round. Vehicles on the right hand circular track and on the straight track do not affect each other. A record of the highest number of circuits your vehicle makes before crashing is kept and can be seen in the top left hand corner of the game above the number of stars you have collected. There is no distinction between the highest number of rounds achieved on easy or hard.

There appears no way to slow down, stop or change the direction of your vehicle, i.e. you have no control over the vehicle whatsoever. (actually Cad mentions in his comment below that the Chevrons located on the bottom left and right of the two circular circuits speed up or slow down the vehicles, I assumed they were for changing direction, but when I tried appeared disabled {like a few of the buttons in the main menu}; I never considered that they were to speed up or slow down the vehicles.) On each circuit completed you collect stars, which appear before you make a full circuit (always in the same position). These can then be spent on unlocking other vehicles that I presume (I'm hoping) have different attributes. The first vehicle you unlock costs 1000 stars. I've played the game for around 50 minutes and so far have collected less than 250 stars, most of which were earned by opening a gift box that recharges every six hours. It recharges even when the game has been closed, so if you boot up the game six hours after you redeemed the last one you'll be able to do so again.

You start the game with the first of 31 vehicles with only the first unlocked. I don't know whether you can unlock any vehicle from the 30 locked ones or whether you have to work from the left to the right. The first of the 30 locked vehicles to unlock will cost you 1000 stars the next 2000 stars, the largest vehicles (trucks) cost 3000 stars. Prices range from 500 to 3000 stars and are randomly scattered between the 30 locked vehicles. To access these vehicles click on the car icon located next to the start button in the bottom left of the game. When the car selection screen opens, you can see other vehicles by clicking on any vehicle and dragging it with your mouse either left or right.

There are two difficulty settings, hard and easy. When playing on hard my vehicle crashed virtually every time on it's first circuit, though I did manage to complete 5 circuits after about 10 minutes of play. I managed 8 circuits on the easy difficulty. Apart from being able to eventually select new vehicles, change the difficulty and every 6 hours unlock a gift that contains a number of extra stars there's no other features that you can control in this game. Your left mouse button is used to activate buttons and to look through the different vehicles that until unlocked look like silhouettes of Lego vehicles you click and swipe to move either to the left or right.

The main differences between the easy and hard modes are that you get more stars on hard, the vehicles run at different speeds on hard; (this may be slower for one round or faster on other rounds), there is a straight piece of road that transects both circular routes. Also, more vehicles appear randomly on hard.

Whenever you start a new round the background colour changes and there are slightly different environments , some with buildings, others with trees. There is also day and night versions, with all vehicles showing head lights when it's night..

The music is okay, but after a while it does become a little wearing because the loop is only about 2 minutes long and there is little variety in the rhythm to keep you entertained. There doesn't appear to be any way to turn the game off except to drop it to the task bar (via the Windows key or clicking on a second monitor if you have a multi monitor set up. Once the game has dropped to the task bar just hover your mouse over the games icon then click the X on the small image that appears to close the game .

Notes on Security
I scanned a zipped copy of the installed game and it found zero hits from 61 antimalware engines. The downloaded executable may include some low level adware that only opens your browser to Falcowares home page after the game has installed, but does not inject any malware into your system. When your browser is opened to Falcowares home page it earns them some money, part of which is given to the developer of the game for allowing the game to be given away free. You can see the results of the scan via the following link:

Other Free Games
The latest game from Epic called The Lion's Song a narrative aventure game is now live HERE . Next weeks game that unlocks on the 20th May 21 hasn't been announced yet.

Please see Delenns threads for Steam and Non Steam freebies HERE and HERE respectively. It’s worth adding these to your favorites and checking regularly for available freebies. Most are only free for a specific time. If you miss the deadline you’ll miss out. Once added to your account, it’s yours to keep. Delenn has recently posted details of three Steam games that are temporarily free. One may be until it leaves early access??? - i.e. Tower Ball - Incremental Tower Defense plus The Dream Machine: Chapter 1 & 2 and Keyboard Killers

You'll find hundreds of freeware games of all arcade and indie genres on Itch.io and Caimans Games as well as other sources. Please do check out the game discussion forums for older posts HERE (the sticky section is useful). Many of the earlier posts may be out of date with respect to the links I and others have provided to the free games; however, you only need to know the name of the game to find most of them via other sources. Many of those games from 2008 to around 2017 were posted as part of a project to supplement the lack of weekday games when the game giveaway went to weekend only games around Easter 2008 (mainly instigated due to the financial crisis of 2008) until November 2018 when Falcoware stepped into the weekday slot; however, from around 2015 onwards we did start to get the occasional Steam key for various games offered as limited giveaways, with a restriction on the number of keys available (anywhere from 25 to 2000+). These included over 60 decent AAA games and indie arcade games ; for example some of the better AAA games included , lucky Warhammer: Vermintide 1 & 2 plus DLC for version 2; Dreadlands, Mount & Blade: Warband, Immortal Unchained and Conan Exiles.

I've not posted details of any Indie Gala freebies since my older computer went on the Fritz back in October last year. Since then Indie Gala have added quite a few more free games, some of which are definitely worth downloading. You can find the latest freebies HERE and their showcase list, which includes all the freebies still current; (many of which have been included for a couple of years now) HERE.

It’s worth adding these links to your favorites and checking regularly for available freebies. Most are only free for a specific time. If you miss the deadline you’ll miss out. Once added to your account, they are yours to keep. :)

Whiterabbit-uk, please correct me if I'm wrong, but don't the up and down chevrons at either side of the screen change your speed up and down, respectively?

That was my understanding from the screenshots and the developer's 'blurb:'
The player, mouse click the screen to rev up or slow down their car

Cad Delworth,

Hi Cad, Thank you for your feedback.

I tried clicking on the chevrons but didn't notice any change in speed; that said, I thought the chevrons would change the direction the vehicles moved, so didn't check to see if it increased or decreased speed (I didn't even consider that at the time).

I 'assumed' the left chevron would change the direction of flow for the left circuit and the right chevron for the right circuit.

I'll check it later and amend my review if you are right (which you probably are). Thank you for pointing that out. It actually makes much more sense and to be honest makes the game worth keeping if you enjoy runner games. :)
