Great game, Love these kind of games. I give this game a 10/10 for everything. I think this game would be more fun if it had online multi-player.

number 44,thats not the graphics, thats the camera,no complaints about the camera here,Im just saying that the graphics were half done.

thats definantly not cartoon shading and again, all the textures are extremely dull, not to mention that they used a very low poly sphere.

Just to add to my previous comment, having played the game more I have discovered that there is a lot more to the graphics than people think - press your Page Up, Page Down, Home and End keyboard keys and see the board at every imaginable angle, including the "mechanisms" of the spike balls and shadows of the rings - even the underside of the whole playing area. Incredibly detailed and intricate, an amazing extra perspective on the game that should not be missed.

Also, the official way of getting out without Task Managering is to press "Back" and then "Exit" in the game's menu.

One last thing - make sure you don't miss the little shut-eyed guy engrossed in playing his harmonica!! Just leave the ball still and wait for him to arrive - ingenious!!!!!!!

I wasn't sure about it by the screenshots, but it is pretty cool and fun!
As mentioned before, it is a bit annoying having to keep hitting "BACK" to exit the game.
Overall it was a good one, thanks.

It's a good game. It reminds me a lot of the old Airball, where you controlled a inflatible ball with a slow leak, through a large castle full of sharp objects and traps, looking for items and air pumps.

I've got one complaint though. I run dual screens, and the small login window for this game insists on locking itself permanently in the center. Locking itself half on one, half on the other, which makes it difficult to use.

I also think the game would be a little more fun if gravity played a role, even slightly.

Otherwise It's pretty fun. And one of the few I've noticed, whose suggested regular retail price hasn't seemed excessive for what it was.

You can press the R key when you fall off a cliff to not lose a life.

Also, I think the rings you accumulate on a level aren't taken away when your use R so you should be able to get as many lives as you want from playing one level.

Very nice game. I noted some comments about "stuff" placed on desktop. I found that unchecking the checkboxes presented during the install prevented this from happening. Enjoyed playing the first few levels, and expect to keep this for a bit. 8 of 10.

this is my review of this game

Graphics: The games models are fairly low poly and the textures are unimaginative and dull, the game has "cartoon shading" to go with it,this is not cartoon shading at all,but rather a dumbed down version that ppl in the biz like to call outline shading.
The levels textures suffer also from the dullness that the models do...

Do to the low amount of power that it takes to run these types of games,Developers and myself Expect them to be beutifal, lots of shaders,Great textures, and clean looking models, this did not meet any of these standards.

Sound: The sound is half and half in this game
At one end, atleast the sound is of good quality.
At the other, the sounds and music are both Extremely anoying

Also the music and sounds didnt fit with the graphical style.

Gameplay:
The game is fun to be sure and the dificulty levels are true to what they say they are, easy is easy, normal is difficult at times, and hard is difficult all the time.

The gameplay is fun because its based on a fun and old game idea.

at the same time It brings absolutely nothing new and is behind on the level of what these types of games are today.

The game is extremely limited, with just a couple couple objects and tilesets that make it difficult for the levels to be unique from eachother, the level desighn varies to,at some levels its quite ingeneous at others its pointless and stupid what they did.

Not to mention that the physics in the game are realy bad,I wouldnt even call them physics.you dont gain momentum, this means that no rolling down hills. this makes the gameplay seem a little to forgiving.

The replay value is horrible, each level is extremely short and they get realy repetitive, and there not that many levels at all. The game isnt addictive enough or even fun enough to hold my attention through two of the worlds (worlds are comprised of a ton of stages)

all in all Id give this a download but after that I recomend uninstalling it

and its definantly not worth $10
or even $5.

Im sorry to be so harsh but im just being honest.

anyway thank you GAGOTD for these free games as usual.

Oooooooohhhhhh! Addictive!!! To everyone who asked how to get out, the only way I could find was to press Ctrl, Alt and Del together - this brings you back to your last normal screen but of course opens the task manager. Another way though is to change the settings in "Controls" of the game menu to a smaller play screen, then it allows you to minimise or close with the usual symbols.

The announcer's comments are funny (and, fortunately for all those who disagree, mutable...!), the game is not easy and falling off that edge does actually feel like vertigo! From the and description I thought this would be more of a pinball type game, which I personally wouldn't have downloaded, but all of the positive comments made me want to see it for myself - I am so glad I did! It's fab!

It's a keeper!

You are a ball that must go through a series of arches to reach a flag. there a various obstacles of course. Golden rings will get you extra points. There are Twirling Spikes to pop you. Bouncy Dots which can either move you up to another level, over a fence or off a cliff. Speedy arrows which zip you along - perhaps to the edge of a cliff. Who knows what's next? Some edges of the playing field have safety barriers and some are open to the puffy clouds in the sky. If you DO fall off, the voice in the game varies it's "uh-oh" sayings enough to be amusing.

The graphics are a bit rough around the edges, but the control of the ball is so good I can overlook that. Good call GGotD and Alawar. I'll be rollin' around for awhile I can tell.

I think the game overall might be good for my kids, but I have one big problem - I can hit escape and get to the main menu, but how do I get out of the game? I've had to task manager my way out of the game, which to my mind makes the game a big "0."

Exiting the game:

ESC (escape), then follow the BACK buttons.

Along the way, you have an option to save your game (scores will be saved).

Cute game. I just finished playing and now I can blink again. I like the voice but what is that guy? German? Swedish? I'd like to listen to a girl if I had a choice.

Maybe it's just my old computer (2001) but the game play was slow. I wish my winter tires had as much grip as this little ball! I would like it if the ball just bounced into the next level rather then beaming in.

The 3-D aspect is awesome. It is a keeper. Even if you can't save your game at the level you stopped at and start at the same level. Hopefully when you unlock the higher levels they stay unlocked. I'd have to play all day to earn those levels and then to have to start oveer would not be my favorite thing.

I don't think it's as addicting as Chrono-ways but I'll keep it on the hard drive.

What say you?

Good morning everyone! ;)

The first thing I have to say is don't discount this game by its screenshots - it really is fun to play!

The options screen includes plus and minus for sound, FX and VOICE - ACK! Turn the latter OFF if you get to feeling like decking him for his annoying voice.

Resolution can be changed, as can difficulty, use of shadows and cartoon style graphics. The graphics are actually the same, except that for one choice they are outlined with a thin black line, instead of just being clean edges (which I chose.)

You can chose your method of controls (thank goodness!) from mouse, keyboard or joystick. I found the mouse an easy way to control the ball, which I think actually minimized falling down through the holes.

One BIG disappointment is that it doesn't save your scores at all, though you do have the option to post your score to the internet. Personally, I'd prefer to just see my own scores all the time, or those that I'm competing against here at home.

Game play consists of controlling a rolling ball on a playing surface which has ramps, bouncing spots, one way arrows that slingshot your ball forward, spiky spheres (the baddies!)and Lord knows what else in even higher levels.

I'm enjoying this game - and it even reminds me (kinda,) of a game that I bought and love to play called Santa Claus in Trouble. While it doesn't use balls, the concept is the same as this game, just presented in a different way.

Thank you Alawar for yet another great game offer to add to my Alawar games folder! ;) Please consider allowing us to test-drive the Mystery Case Files games. There are quite a few of us who love them and are willing to recommend them to friends and family.

Thank you always to GOTD - Sadly, with a need to reformat my drive, it looks like I'll be losing all previous games (and all other GOTD fabulous software) :(

Strangely addictive. However, when I tried to end the game, I couldn't get out! Since no one else mentioned it, I guess it's the user. :o)

My usual rant that goes with ALL games downloaded these days. KEEP THE EXTRA CRAP OFF MY DESKTOP!!! Adding your extra 'download more games, etc' icons to my desktop only infuriates me. The more times I see them, the more it burns your name into my memory, ensuring that I will NEVER pay for ANY of your games.

Every single game from Alawar crashes my computer! I am running XP with all of the updates. Alawar games run for about five minutes, then my computer shuts down. I have tried running them in the compatibility mode of Windows 98. I have tried everything that I can think of. No other games, from any other software company do this to my computer.

If anybody has a solution to this problem, I'd appreciate it. In the meantime, I'll download the Alawar games and isolate them like a virus until a cure is found.

Roads of Fantasy is a bit reminiscent of that mind-killer known as Hamster Ball, which had me running, screaming into the street in 30 minutes time (much to the grandkids' amusement). This one, thankfully, allows some control of ball speed on declines!

Three playing fields offer a bit of variety with speed boosts, spikey obstacles, 90° turns and drop-offs to keep the game challenging; colorful, larger than normal graphics will be eye-candy for the kids.

Point of minor frustration: multi-step exit from the game is annoying, but least it does not ask 'Do you really want to quit?' ... one of my pet peeves.

Many thanks to the Alawar team for consistently offering games that are challenging and family-friendly. As always, kudos to the GAotD team for an outstanding service.

You think that's bad, I've got dual monitors and my RIGHT one is the primary monitor, so the unmovable Profiles window appears halfway off my desktop! Fortunately, I've got an app that allows me to move "stuck" windows even if the program doesn't provide that control. Once past the Profiles window, the game goes full screen and there's no option to play in a window. (not that we'd want to since it'd be halfway off the screen)

The game itself needs work. Way too many menus and options make it difficult to pick-up-and-play. Some of the menus can be navigated with the keyboard/joystick, others cannot-- forcing me to reach for my mouse. What's with the lack of physics??? The ball on a sloped surface rolls to a stop??? What's the fun of a Marble Madness like game that doesn't have complete physics?

but with the game from today, it seems I got the same problem as "Tefnacht"

when the opening screen of the game appeared, it is cut in 2 on my 2 screens!
even with the option move to monitor 1 /2 nothing appends!!
love you Giveaway thanks for the pleasure you give me each morning

Nice fun game.

Note for the devs in case they read it: I use two monitors, same resolution, primary display is the left one, the desktop is extended over both.
The very first screen of the game where you select a user profile appears "in the middle" of my desktop, one half of the window on each monitor. Since that window cannot be moved it is a bit... uncomfortable.

Amusing game. It's like Marble Madness meets Sonic the Hedgehog. I only played a few levels. Thus far, all of the danger seem to be stationary spike traps and openings that you could fall off. It's good and bad that there aren't any active dangers and any power-ups/ down- keep things simple but also dull. Nice graphics and music. One ceveat, turn down or off that annoying announcer.

Ah, I like this one!

Pro's:
- Nice graphics : Can be set to the user's liking and system/graphic performance capabilities.
- Sounds can be altered to the user's liking (like muting the music).
- *grin* @ voice and comments that accompany your game. (If you don't like this voice, you can mute it via the options.)
- Good gameplay : With keyboard, mouse and gamepad support.
- Although not an original game, Alawar Entertainment added enough eye-candy and good gameplay to justify it's existence.

Con's (no big one's, but still):
- Silly extra crap-desktop icons added during install.
- Not an original game.
- No multiplayer support, AFAICT.

All in all; a nice game title and a big "THANK YOU!" towards GAOTD and Alawar Entertainment.
