This game is cool,nice graphics and cool gameplay, i have the trial,I keep dying on that efing train boss, he had 1 friking hit left!!!! I prefer crimsonland mainly though for it's coll blood efects and shorter loading times but if anyone has a free activation key please tell me please please please!!!

Downloaded it twice and installed it twice then uninstalled for the third time. All it did was lock up my machine. I have had no problems with any other of your downloads - anyone else have this problem? Was it an April Fool's joke on me that I didn't get?

A great improvement over RIP 1 and 2 that were already addictive.
Rip 3 actualy has a story, you can have 3 weapons not just 1x.
3 new characters. LAN supported and more :)

ok just so you know it worked perfectly fine for me. I have a screwed up windows pro install(need to reformat soon) amd athlon xp 1800(1.5ghz) 1 gig of ram , 4gigs of harddrive left and a cheap saphire 128mb vid card. :) it works great. doesn't slow down (except when you get that special time slow thing in the game lol i thought it was my computer but it was the game ) didn't crash. :) looked great but i got bored of it quick

AARRRGGHHH!!! Everyday for the last two months, I come here and download software and games, try out the programs, play the games, and vote up or down. Yesterday, some drunk stole a trash truck and crashed into a power pole, knocking out phones and power for a huge chunk of my neighborhood. What game do they give away on this one day I can't get download?? RIP 3 - The Last Hero!! I can't freakin' believe it! That guy in the truck...please make him the enemy in your game playing, and get him for me, a truly PO'd GiveAway of the Day loyalist!!! For anyone out there, I'd be willing to trade you any number of my many downloads for a chance at this one days' that I missed!:(

How about some of the Mystery Games.. like Magic Academy, Mystery case files-Ravenhurst etc. I do get a bit tired of shoot em up and match three's. Give us something to actually THINK through. Not all of us are the younger generation, we need some of the slow games. Would like to see some of the above games here... they are big fish games too. This is a great site though. Been trying to d/l this game for 4 hours..I hit the download button and get "IE cannot display this page".
All other sites load. Anyone else having trouble? Their h/page loads, which is odd. Only just over an hour to go be4 it ends. Looks like i'll be missing out on this one and its one id really like to try!!

These games aren't for me...They should offer some of those card game packages with like 400 different card games on it. That'd be sweet!

First off I would like to say if you are having problems with your computer crashing when trying to download or play this game my first guess is that you are overloaded on a 1 or 2 gig hard drive. My laptop is running on 100 gigs and I have 40 gigs of music on my hd. My first suggestion is to maybe upgrading and adding some memory to your system. Second off it is VERY possible it is your connection. I had fiber optic cable high speed internet and it wasnt all it was cracked up to be. I went wireless and dont have to share my connection with anybody. Im not so sure it is the game that is buggy if so many people have installed and played this game to the end??

I didn't think that RIP 2 was that good so I didn't download RIP 3. I wish they could give away Crusaders of Space: Open Range again and sooner or later give out Black hawk striker 1 and 2

Comment #54 by HG I'm running the game on a dual core and it plays fine, so I don't think it's that. I’ve installed it to three of my machines all with widely varying specs and all of them run it fine. I've tested all three up to level 5 and have come across no problems apart from getting through the 5th level a few times, lol.

I actually downloaded the demo from Elephant games the same day RIP 2 was given away, so used the activation key only and found the demo was now full version, so used that to install onto two other computers. I haven't noticed any problems changing weapons, but then again my heads all messed up with morphine. Perhaps it's worth a try for all of you who are getting problems.

Is this multi-player (online) only? Some games are capable of both. I have dialup and probably wouldn't play. Today I have to choose between this and the Frigate3 File Manager because both are so big. :(

I really liked the first 2 but this one has some glitch in the text. All the text areas (at least I *assume* they are text) are nothing but a bunch of garbled boxes. I can't read the storyline or the menus and even the initial splash screen is messed-up. The game itself seems to play fine, but I'd like to know what the hell I'm clicking on.

I tried looking around their forums for a possible fix, but I couldn't find anyone else having the same problems. In all honesty, I saw the same problem in the 2nd version too, but it was only on the first few between-level screens so it didn't affect my gameplay much. With this one, I can't even read the number of remaining enemies or any of the other alpha-numeric HUD content.

a pleasure to play but like a lot of other people, this game keeps on crashing, definitely needs to be fixed

I have a problem installing RIP 3 and yesterday's Hard Drive Inspector. In the past, I have installed gaotd progs with no problems. Now, when I run Activate.exe, I get a warning message which states, "Activation module failed to connect to game.giveawayoftheday.com. Software activation is not possible at the moment. Please try again later or check firewall settings." I then turned off my regular firewall (PC Tools Firewall Plus) and turned on Windows firewall; same failed installation. Lastly, I tried the installation with no firewall running; same failed installation.

Suggestions, please?

got to like the 30th level then i quit and unistalled. it was ok. nothing wrong happened to me.

I think there is a problem with dual core or multiple CPU machines.

yup, tried reinstalling many times using different methods and even following the readme.txt directions step by step. the game is actually quite fun, but crashes after about 5 minutes. I give up! Still it's definately worth trying and maybe you'll be lucky and it'll work on your system like many others here... thanks GAOTD~~~~!

It seem like you have a bandwidth problem, probably due to the large game size.

Several times I've got a timeout when trying to download, and primary link speed drops to around 5 KB/s after a few minutes of downloading. And that's more than an hour of downloading, (and it could disconneect since I'm using IE).
Mirror speed is only a bit better, yet unstable (around 8 KB/s).

Never happened before, other games/programs downloaded at 30 KB/s minimum (usually around 50). Any chance of a second mirror?

Firstly, I had no problems with the download or installation of this game.

However, *sighs* I've just unloaded it as it was practically a nightmare to play. It kept freezing and hanging my computer, which none of the other offered games have ever done and it didn't seem to retain some changes I made to the options.

Like trying out the different modes. I usually begin with normal but go to easy if it's too difficult. By the time I've finished that I'm usually ready for 'normal' and eventually progress on to 'hard.' But it seems that you can only play in 'normal' mode. Huh?

This game definitely has bugs that need to be addressed in order to make this game a pleasure to play. I give it a 5/10 (and that's mostly for the fantastic graphics!) and I take another point off for total disappointment in this version - so I actually give it 4/10.

I went to the developer's website to read the comments there on this game and there isn't one single negative comment! That alone has me extremely curious as to the quality of the product being delivered to GOTD.

Is it different to the one they provide to their buyers?

Much better than RIP1. Like all of them it lacks long term appeal but I played it through to the end and enjoyed it. Worth a blast.

i never playd this kind of games befor so i tried great game

I didn't get to play RIP1, but I did get RIP2 and now RIP3. The game is pretty fun, but some of the changes they made were for the worse. For example: Instead of putting a feature onto the character when you level up and choose something, it just puts a picture on a slot.

Like other people have mentioned, the gun switching feature is buggy. You shouldn't rely on it too much.

If you got RIP2, you get an extra bonus in experience. (25% I think it was.) I'm sure it's more if you have RIP1 also.

Though RIP2's graphics aren't as good as these, I think I like RIP2 better. This game uses a lot of your CPU, making it nearly un-runnable on older computers. My computer ran it fine - But when I Alt+Tabbed out, it made everything on my desktop slow.

Thanks for giving away RIP3. Another one goes to my collection :).

I rate this game 8/10 because of some bugs, and un-necessary changes. If the gun switching bug wasn't there, it'd be a 9.

Wow I liked RIP 1. But the whole "not being able to move" thing annoyed me. RIP 2 was amazing and I beat it in one day =P. I cant wait to play this RIP!!

Rip 3 seems better than the first two but has a couple problems. The story line is fleshed out, there's more characters to choose and graphics are far better. I preferred the music in the first one to the second and now the third, it's similar but not the same as the first. The same heavy electric guitar track is there but not used as much in either the second or third versions.

I am not experiencing any crashes as a few others previously commented. It runs fine, no freezes, no crashes, no slow downs. This version does use more more CPU power than either of the other two but it's not maxing out, at least not on my computer. One suggestion for anyone getting crashes is to try closing other programs that may be running in the background before playing this game. A lot of people have stuff always running that they never use. To #30 Diggity: I don't think the problem is having a custom made machine, that's what I've got and the game runs fine with no crashing.

On to the problems. First, for games that come with difficulty level choices I like to test each mode to a get a feel for differences before creating a profile for actually playing. But this game only plays in 'Normal' mode. Change it to Easy or Hard, click OK and it seems to have saved the change. But upon reopening Options to check it's right back to Normal again, even though any other changed options (such as music/sound volume, mouse sensitivity) still retain changes applied the first time. Not good.

Second problem is that changing weapons during play is not reliable, as was mentioned in comment #16 by Deadlock. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, and this does not seem to be 'just part of the game' as there is no rhyme or reason to when it works or not. It's just plain glitchy.

On the off chance there may have been any problem with the download or installation I tried completely uninstalling and installing again with a fresh download. But both the problem with not retaining chosen difficulty mode and unreliable weapon changes remain exactly as before. Didn't think it was a download/installation problem as these seem to be genuine bugs, but hoped that maybe it could solve something. No such luck, both are still there. It was great to see the 3rd version of Rip offered here, it could have been a 9 out of 10. But with two bugs that seriously affect game play I have to say it's barely a 4.

Anyone having problems playing RIP3? The game starts out fiiine then shuts down after a few minutes. Game is great and I want to play it.

i'm running dsl ultra lite and it is estimated for 30+ min download oh well hubby will love it, i unfortunately missed getting the second installment of this game for him...plus it fills my need when my strees gets too high.... or just the need to blow things up thank GAOTD your getting these game producers to release these games for free is great

Anyone else having problems with the CPU maxing out? Just get a blank screen. Can see the CPU getting maxed on the second screen. Using XP SP2.
