Relaxing Tetris:

In Brief:
Classic Tetris, but with a slower, much more relaxing pace

You can see a video of game play HERE.
Introduction:
Play the best logic puzzle game - Tetris!
Relaxing Tetris is typical tetris and gameplay has been fully preserved to match the classic game. Passing the stages, you will contemplate 12 different arts to relaxing.

Reference accessed HERE 11th January 2022.
The Game:
It's tetris. I'm sure everyone knows what Tetris is, one of the first puzzle games I ever becasme obsessed with while at univeristy, spending hours on the original game boy giving myself eye strain and imprinting that awful tinny music on my brain forever.

If you love tetris then HERE are 80 more tetris games via Caiman games (RIP Rudy).
Conclusion:

It always gives me ahead ache these days, lol. However, unlike the original Tetris, this is in colour, tohugh you don't need to match colours. Also, for the 20 or so minutes I played to grab some screen captures the speed of the blocks dropping didn't increase at all. Do be careful if you zoom the pieces fdown using the down arrow, becasue I noticed a couple of times when I did that, the next piece also dropped; otherwise a very relaxing version of Tetris. There's no real challend, but if you make a few silly errors it can mean blocking a lot of the lower rows..

Notes on Security

I scanned a zipped copy of the installed game using Virus Total and it found zero hits from 56 antimalware engines.

The downloaded executable 'may' include some low level adware that only opens your browser once to Falcoware's home page after the game has installed and also places four shortcuts onto your desktop (which can be safely deleted once the game has installed).

The installation does NOT inject any malware into your system. When your browser is opened to Falcoware's home page following the games installation, it earns Falcoware games some money, part of which is given to the developer of the game for allowing the game to be given away free. Once you've installed the game, there are no more browser redirections. This is because Falcoware removed their installer over a year ago (that installer would show an advert for a game and then open your browser each time you played and then closed the game down.)

You can see the results of the scan via the following link:

Whiterabbit-uk,

Other Free Games:

For other free games please check Delenn's threads over in the giveaway forums HERE and HERE for the latest non Steam and Steam freebies; it's kept up to date frequently, whenever there's a free game becomes available (thanks for keeping this up to date Delenn, very much appreciated).

Also for the latest Steam sales check THIS Steam database site out. You can list the games in 'price' & 'percentage off' by clicking the headers. If you link SteamDB with your Steam account, all games that you already have will be highlighted in green and those in blue are on your wish list. When there are Steam games being given away, you'll see the percentage off as 100%. It's worth checking this regularly to make sure you don't miss those fantastic deals and freebies. Delenn usually posts links to all free games within several hours of them going live, so check her links at the top of this comment as well.
Steam-Sales
Don't forget to check Indie Gala's freebie section HERE, then click on the Showcase header, selecting freebies from the drop down menu; recent additions include Cov Shooter, Garfield Kart (a family oriented racing game with cartoon like graphics), Pixel Puzzles 2: Christmas ( a traditional style jigsaw puzzle game), North (asylum seeker game), Nostradamus the Last Prophecy, (a point and click mystery adventure), Snowball (A more "discovery-based" approach to pinball. Learn the secret rules of the board to access hard to reach places and rack up HUGE SCORE BONUSES, which are generally agreed to be more important than any other current event in the real world) and the full version of Die Young (you play as Nehir, a field agent of a well-known political party. The party's agenda is to deconstruct and eliminate Brother n.1, the leader of Island's community); we were previously given the prologue version, (which is still available free) Recent games such as Distortions, Dino Run DX, Cheap Golf, Kill Em All, Dead Hungry Diner and Contract with the Devil have now been removed. All remaining freebies can be found in the showcase section (around 100 are available). Not all games that go into the showcase remain free and are removed after a short period; so, you should grab them as soon as you can.

The latest free game from Epic is Gods Will Fall - Experience the trials of 8 warriors in their plight to sever the gods’ grip on humanity as you take on legions of beasts in each of the gods’ realms. Next Thursday the 13th January we will be getting Galactic Civilization III - Build a civilization that will stand the test of time! Choose from dozens of unique races and make a name for yourself across the galaxy through diplomacy, espionage, technological advances, and more.
The best Indie Bundles sites that have been operating from around 2011 are the Humble Bundle and Indie Gala sites (though the latter isn't as good as it used to be) where you'll sometimes find decent bundles with over 90% off the usual price of the games included in the bundles. The Humble site is in my opinion the best. A more recent addition that is worth checking out are the Fanatical bundles (that used to be called Bundle Stars) that you can find HERE.

I've restarted a project I originally started back in 2008 where I posted free games over in the forums. I won't be posting them daily; this time I'll post them as and when I have time and the inclination. I originally intended starting the project just before the lockdown and only posted one game, a really good breakout game that in my opinion is one of the better breakouts ever released called Breakquest. The pandemic and other reasons saw me not getting around to continuing the project back then, but I've just restarted it a few days ago. I've already posted a free version of Hidden & Dangerous Deluxe that was released free in preparation for the second game to be released then yesterday I posted details of a free standing mod for Battlefield 2, which after helping with beta testing, would say it's one of the best mods made for the game and dare I say it better than the original. It started out as a sequel to the original Battlefield 1942 called Battlefield 1944, but the modder decided to make it free standing and changed the name to Battlegroup 44. You'll find the two games on the front page of the new forum titled Free Game Project Game HERE. I've also placed a link in the first thread to Breakquest.

What are the controls? Left and right arrows don't work, the mouse roller doesn't work - what does work? This is not an intuitive game, and it has no instructions!

Donald Campbell Wilson.,

All four arrow on my keyboard work. the up arrow turns the object, the down arrow makes it decent rapidly and the left and right arrows move the object left and right.

It looks beautiful but for me original Tetris much better, example Tetris 99, Tetris Effect — Connected or something.

Cannot rotate objects. I don't have a "middle" mouse button and no other key seems to work. Too bad. Poor game. Uninstalled.

Jack,

Jack, I'm sorry, I was mistaken, you don't need a middle mouse button to rotate objects. The up arrow turns the objects the down arrow makes it drop quicker and the left and right arrows move to the left and right.

Not a smart move using the Tetris name, or copying the core gameplay, given the Tetris company have a long record of legal action against anyone who uses the name or game mechanics.

How do you make the pieces rotate? The rotate button doesn't work. Sometimes I could get them to rotate by using 2 arrows at once, but it was unreliable.

Northwoods Nana,

use the middle mouse button to rotate.

Whiterabbit-uk,

Sorry I was mistaken, it's the up arrow that turns the objects.

Simple classic game, nice graphics (+). Should be less on weight (-). Catchy music I've found: Immortals - Fall Out Boy (8bit version) and maybe three more titles - so loud - no volume controls for it. Game played 10 minutes and uninstalled. Thanks.

"Relaxing Tetris"...Installed okay, but OMG when I clicked play, the music was anything but "Relaxing". Closed it out and uninstalled. Holy Hell, that music was awful!

E,

Just like the original which was also really annoying. Still, I turned the sound off via the volume mixer; though there is a toggle for both the sound effects and music in the bottom right of the screen.

E,
I never play anything with sound on - I so can't stand it

E, I always look for setting to turn off music on games. If there isn't, I turn off the sound on my computer. I pretty much don't care for any music that is repetitive either so it's easier to just turn it off.
