If you don't like the genre at all, please explain why and if any, what improvements would change your mind? There are thousands of subscribers to the game giveaway of the day every weekend which makes this an ideal forum for giving developers new or fresh ideas as to what their consumers (i.e you) would like to see in a game. For example, you could suggest extra content such as better or more original mini games, or a level editor that you would like to see that would make it more appealing to you. Maybe you think the graphics are a little dated and are in need of re skinning, or maybe you've just had enough of the genre and want to see something different or something with more originality? Giving such feedback instead of saying nothing or just saying this game is rubbish or good may bring more developers to the site, which could mean more and better games. Would you give away thousands of copies of a game (or extra content for a game) away to a community that complains all the time instead of giving useful feedback? It only takes a few moments of your time. This site could be transformed if only the community would be more forthcoming in their opinions of the games they are getting for free instead of complaining about the way this site has changed, they don't like MPC games, they hate HOG, have had enough of Match Three and Time Management games, they want to see the latest version of Call of duty or some other big name AAA game given away or that they don't like Steam games. Installation:

Red Riding Hood downloads to a 51.1 MB zip file that unzips to three files, (a setup.gcd security wrapper, the set up file and a read me). Those with multiple hard drives are able to save games on any drive they wish. The newly installed game is 71.8 MB in size. The game installs to the following path by default, but can be changed by the user if you prefer:

C:\Program Files (x86)\MyPlayCity.com\Red Riding Hood

Four shortcuts are installed to the desktop. three of which can be safely deleted (Play Online Games, MyPlayCity Games and shortcuts to a free online game which vary each week). Also, if you don't like icons installed to the quick launch task bar, make sure you uncheck the box when the additional tasks window appears (after the Select Start Menu Folder window)

Introduction:

Remember the fairy-tale from your childhood about a little girl in a red tippet? It was probably one of your favorite, right? Now you have a wonderful opportunity to help the small girl during her long and dangerous way to her Grandma. In the game Red Riding Hood you will be helping the adorable child collect all the apples and flowers and arrive safe and sound at her Grandma's house. During the journey you will meet different angry animals such as birds or hedgehogs who will try to stop you. Don't be afraid, just hit them on the head and continue your way. But remember to follow the path and never turn off the road. When you complete the first levels of Red Riding Hood you will be able to fight the animals with acorns. So next time when you see the one on your way, pick it up, it will come in handy later. Beware of the wild animals and sharp branches! You have to be very attentive and collect all the apples, flowers and mushrooms. Otherwise, you won't be able to complete the level. Besides, you need to hurry up to get to the Grandma's house before darkness falls and the forest becomes a very dangerous place for Red Riding Hood. There are more angry wild animals now: foxes and lightning bugs will try to hurt the poor little girl. But she is brave and she throws cones at them. Red Riding Hood is a very catching game with pleasant cheering music and excellent animation. Find yourself in a real fairy-tale and help your favorite childhood character cope with all the obstacles and dangers on her way to her lovely Grandma!

The Game:

I've installed Red Riding Hood onto two of my Win 10 computers and both fail to run. I've tried all the usual fixes, compatibilty mode etc, to no avail, so haven't been able to play the game, nor have I found any information or videos of game play apart from a couple of images, so cannot write a review at this time. This is only the second time ever since the gamegiveaway opened Dec 2006 that I've not been able to get a game to work. The first one 80'% of the community also couldn't get the game to work as it was created for win 98 and wouldn't work on XP or later operating systems. I actually purchased that game prior to the giveaway and have since tried to ge it to work on every operating system since to no avail. Alwas get a memory access violation.

From the images I have seen, the game reminds me of the platformer Turtix which we've had a few times over the last several years.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank MyPlayCity for giving away Red Riding hood and also to the game giveaway team, as always, for securing other ways to get free games. Tomorrow there will be two Steam games offered. both running over 7 days, one has 25 keys on offer, the other one as yet an unknown quantity. Last mondays Steam game, 'Megamagic: Wizards of the Neon Age' is still live for another day and is still worth applying for. At the present time for those who have got the maximum number of entries, they should have a 100% chance of winning a key.
