The game would have been fun but it was way to short. I beat it in 20 minutes.

Well, finished the game. Total time shooting was 6 minutes, even though it probably took me 20. It's not all that challenging (I would say even less so than Save the Snails). Something that gets on my nerves is the aiming system. The menu icons (you know, pause, restart, menu, and more games) are really annoying because you don't get to use the full range of your cannon (needed for having the rabbit come closer but over obstacles). Also, the controls felt somewhat counter-intuitive. Heck, it's worse than Angry Birds' controls (which at times can shoot birds backwards). Well, waiting for tomorrow's game. I already know what it is (don't ask how), and even though I haven't played it, I'm sure it's a quality game (seen some screenshots/descriptions of it).
@Whiterabbit: I'll see if I can catch you on Steam. I've got an awesome game for your free games project (heck, it was even given away here a few years ago).

That's cool GMMan. I'm looking for more good games for next weeks third anniversary.

Good idea, @ALF. I like the Wheemplay Games too. Flash games don't bother me. A game is a game. Just a cute little time waster and the "Wabbit" is so cute. Got to feed him. My little 5 yr. niece will love this one. The music is easy to listen too and the game play is fun.
Thanks to GGOTD, Wheemplay for the game. Thanks Wabbit too for the fun review.
Waiting for tomorrow's game. :)

Cute game and, as always, I appreciate the working preview link but I think I'm going to pass on this one.

Same problem as reported by others. I run two large screen HD widescreen monitors on Windows 7. Could not get carrot on second level no matter which monitor I used. Bummer. Would be a find little game otherwise.

Downloaded, installed, activated and ran perfectly on my XP SP3. The game is pretty easy to understand, although some levels take a little more time than others to "get". I would've enjoyed a choice of music other than the country banjo tune that sorta gets on your nerves pretty quick. Other than that, the game is pretty good for the asking price.

Nice game, thanks! :)

Worst Wheemplay so far, and the play more games icon was in the way. I got taken to their website 4 or 5 times before I finished the game. If it had been a physical thing, I'd have thrown it on the floor and stamped on it. :D

As suggested above, I tried this game at the kongregate website and thought it was an amusing little game. Finished 30 levels in just under 30 minutes, with a wide screen monitor.
Thanks GAOD for all of the great games. Not every game is for everyone, and without small kids in residence, I won't be downloading this game. It was cute, fun and the music was nice, but this game is not something that will hold my attention beyond the time I already spent earlier.
I will continue with the great games I have already downloaded from GAOD and look forward to the next offering.

The game giveaway team throughly test all games given away. You are almost certainly getting a false positive.

Very forgiving little thing. On Win 7 ok. As mentioned gotta play most screens in window mode if HD widescreen monitor to get the right torque location. Now & then you'll launch a web page when banging away at top of screen. Walkthru helps just to let yoy know that can do a level as you know can be done. Just reassures that by continuing to bang away solution is proper one. Good for fans of genre. Half hour of mild diversion. For that a 100. For non fans just don't bother. Thanks GOTD. Have unlabor day weekend to all gamers. Who is going to be first with a Jobs Fix game series? Got your pick from wide selection of villains. Nice weather on east coast.

At first I was disappointed because I couldn't get the cursor far enough out of my screen to aim the rabbits high enough to get past level two, but then I realised that if I played in windowed mode instead of full screen, then the cursor worked as intended.
Wheemplay needs to fix it so that the cursor works properly in full screen mode.
I like the game overall. fun.

Finally---something for my Mac!

Huh. They did a switch today. Usually Wheemplay games are on Sunday. Maybe they're changing it this week to bolster today's game's ratings (or make tomorrow's game seem a thousand times better).

It will be. :P

I liked it. I played it at their site to see if I liked it first.
I played all 30 levels in 11:48 minutes. Don't know if that is good or bad.
It is a fun time killer. Good enough for my short attention span.
I will now download it because it is here for that purpose.
Thank you.

#2: "The play is simple, yes, but sometimes that’s all you need to fill a few minutes... I jsut love Wheem-play games."
FWIW I think millions of people playing these sorts of simple games on their cells &/or playing on-line versions agree with you, ALF.
"Some people don’t like wheemplay games, just because they are flash-based, but then again what does that matter when you play a game."
Playing devil's advocate for a moment if I may...
Many so-called casual games are Flash based, & others behave as if they were, meaning they're pretty inefficient from a tech perspective. Without an optimized game engine &/or relying on higher end graphics hardware they'll play almost anywhere on almost anything, with the downside that they'll often push hardware closer to the max for little or no good reason. Most other software might push less powerful PCs/laptops/netbooks etc., but let faster machines just loaf along, hardly taxing the CPU -- some casual games will use 75 - 100% CPU regardless, with no benefit that you can see. That can mean higher temps & more energy usage, which if you're operating off a battery matters. If your system's cooling is marginal [maybe from higher room temps, not great case design, or simply dust bunnies] it could lead to problems too, though hopefully it'll shut itself down 1st. Flash also has a poor rep with many people when it's used on-line, partly for the same inefficiencies, partly because like a lot of other types of programming, black hats try to exploit security loopholes. They feel why risk it when Flash is used just for eye candy, & often feel Adobe is a bit weak in enforcing good security practices amongst those that use it.
That doesn't mean I agree or disagree... My wife & sons for example feel what good is having whatever if you can't use it however you please. While I can certainly see the downsides, having grown up in a house where kids were banned from the living room lest we break things, I find it hard to disagree with them. :-)

Doen't work so well on Imac Snow Leo.
The cannon doesn't shoot the rabbits hard enough and there is no pointer/barrel.
There is a cross/barrel in the Walkthrough video though !

Wow....that took 15 minutes to play through the whole game. (And that includes on crash in the middle of the game too)
Games like these $0.99 aren't funny at all. Short and too easy to complete. Maybe if you have a 5-7 year old at home, it will last a little bit longer....but not much.

nice Game.
But only one thing.
When I maximize my window, the power of the cannon is lower and I have to click outside the window to win some games and that is impossible.
Everything else seems to be okay for a simple game like this =D
sry for my bad english, if you find mistakes, you can keep it ;)

Yes there will be In fact I'd go as far as to say it'll be one of the best game giveaways we've had since the game giveaway project went to weekends only. A game that most will like. but no more detail. :)

@Alf - Since my sentiments about the software are the same as yours I only add some thoughts to it.
I believe some people don't like flash because they are afraid it might connect to the internet.
With Wheemplay games the only instance I noticed that behavior was when F1 (Help) is pressed.
If someone does not want this he can block the file in his firewall. The games themselves do not need an internet connection. I did block one of them to try that out.

OK--I exited the program and restarted. I guess that reset the magnaflux core and dried out my powder? All good now. Should take about an hour to go thru this then back to Incinerate?

Loaded and activated without issue on win7 Ult/64 "but" I can't get the rabbit to hit the top carrot in the Second Level. I turned up my volume (joke!!). Looks like my puter has a power problem. Quad Core with 8 GB of RAM, no other active programs.
Maybe my rabbits need to be washed?

security risk. Norton won't allow exe to start.
What you think?? bad or not.

Thumbs down !!!!
playing level two is impossible if you have a wide format HD screen.
You can't aim high enough to get the top carrot.
not very well thought out game physics.

Today is a wheemplay-game. This game is very simple no-thougt-playing but in a few moments with nothing to do It can be distracting from current routines.
Shoot with your canon to hit the carrots by aiming and empowering your bunny-projectile. That's about it.
Because all Wheemplay-games are portable, you can just copy "RabbitLauncher.exe" from you installfolder (after installation) and savekeep it for whenever you need it on a usb-stick.
Some people don't like wheemplay games, just because they are flash-based, but then again what does that matter when you play a game.
The play is simple, yes, but sometimes that's all you need to fill a few minutes.
I am collecting all the Whemplay-ganes on a USB-stick and take it with me when I travel somewhere. I jsut love Wheem-play games.

Developers rely on good feedback to improve their games. If you download this game please take some time once you’ve played it a while to leave some constructive feedback either positive or negative. The more constructive feedback we get, the more likely developers are going to give more games away. The giveaway site already has a very good standing with the search engines. Developers want their products out there on the WWW, this site has the potential to do that. The game giveaway project gives away on average between 9 to 17 thousand downloads for each game depending upon what genre and how obscure the game is. That’s a lot of homes these games are being downloaded into and a lot of 'potential' cash that’s being lost by the developers. If we get better games because of better feedback, the community are likely to continue to benefit from the generosity of the developers. Satisfied community members are then more likely to visit the home sites of those developers and purchase games that they may not have bothered with before they discovered the developer via the game giveaway site, thus giving the developers more incentives to give away even more decent games.
Installation:l>Please leave some feedback once you’ve checked the game out. It can be positive or negative, but please explain why your reasons for the feedback you post. You could also leave suggestions for improving the game, for example, this game could do with a levels editor, add more power-ups, describing the ones you think would be suitable, add some mini games (which seem all the rage in some arcade games now) or enable the user to be able to change the in game music easily.
Thank you in advance to all those who take the time to post a constructive comment.
Regards
Whiterabbit aka Stephen

Reference accessed HERE Dec 25th 2010
The Game:l>
You have to shoot rabbits from a cannon and hit carrots that are obsured by various obstacles. You have 30 levels all of which are unlocked except the first one. To progress you have to complete the unlocked ones. Each level is timed. You can reset the level to try again pause or return to a previously unlocked level via the buttons to the top left of the game arena; you can also turn off the music if you find it annoying (which I did after a few minutes). There isn’t much of a challenge with this game. Levels do get progressivelyharder, but not to the point that they are too challenging. The game is a flash based physics game with cartoon like graphics and an easy to use interface. The game is fully mouse controlled.
Features:l>
• Awesome Launcher game!
• 30 addictive levels with different approaches
• Achievements and highscores
Video:l>
You can see a couple of videos of gme play HERE and
HERE The second video contains walkthroughs for all 30 levels.

You can see a slideshow of about images HERE.
Conclusion:l>
This is basically a rehash of Pirates Time which we got last week. Still I would say the game is okay for filling in those empty moments between playing other games, more like when you’re trying to decide which game to play. I wouldn’t buy the game, especially as you’ll find it on many flash sites for free. Younger children will probably enjoy playing this game for a few moments, but IMO, there’s not much to recommend the game.
