Whiterabbit-uk,

When there are Steam games being given away, you'll see 100% off.

Don't forget to check Indie Gala's freebie section HERE, then click on the Showcase header, selecting freebies from the drop down menu; recent additions include Pixel Puzzles 2: Christmas ( a traditional style jigsaw puzzle game), North (asylum seeker game), Nostradamus the Last Prophecy, (a point and click mystery adventure), Snowball (A more "discovery-based" approach to pinball. Learn the secret rules of the board to access hard to reach places and rack up HUGE SCORE BONUSES, which are generally agreed to be more important than any other current event in the real world) and the full version of Die Young (you play as Nehir, a field agent of a well-known political party. The party's agenda is to deconstruct and eliminate Brother n.1, the leader of Island's community); we were previously given the prologue version, (which is still available free) Recent games such as Distortions, Dino Run DX, Cheap Golf, Kill Em All, Dead Hungry Diner and Contract with the Devil have now been removed. All remaining freebies can be found in the showcase section (around 100 are available). Not all games that go into the showcase remain free, so you should grab them as soon as you can.

If anyone has theHunter: Call of the Wild or it's free version theHunter: Classic, Second Extinction, Generation Zero, Left 4 Dead, Left 4 Dead 2, Zombie Army Trilogy, Dying Light, Red Dead Redemption 2, Red Dead Redemption Online, Sanctum 1 , Sanctum 2, Strange Brigade, Barotrauma, The Elder Scrolls Online , fallout 76, Serious Sam 3: BFE, Serious Sam 2, Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter and Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter on Steam; or who got either theHunter: Call of the Wild or Second Extinction via Epic when they were free recently and is interested in playing some co-op with me, please leave a message in the thread I posted over in the forums HERE; I'll then contact you via the email you've used for your forum sign in and I'll send you a link to my Discord channel and make some arrangements to play. I've been playing the first few games in the list regularly this year (approaching 700 hrs for theHunter and over 250 hrs for Second Extinction) and have played all of the others over the last few years and am familiar with their mechanics (these include FPS, TPS, Hunting, 2D Submarine sims, tower defence and zombie shooters, all of which are co-operative games, or can be played cooperatively. I've found playing with friends much more enjoyable than playing solo. If you are new to any of these games and are maybe shy online, then I will help you get to grips with any games (though I may be a little rusty with some). I've always been quite shy when online and always treat people with respect. I don't swear and conversation is usually just about the game; at least until I get to know the people I'm playing with. I've made some very good friends around the world since playing my first online games back in the early 2000's (America's Army, Vietcong, Men of Valor, Men of Honor, Battlefield 1942/BFVietnam and BF2 as well as the early Serious Sam games. The HD reskins are excellent. If you only have theHunter base game, when playing co-op with me you will be able to join any of the 11 reserves that are available and explore them, as only the person running the server requires the reserves. Any thing you unlock while in my server will be saved and added to your reserve if you later decide to purchase those DLC reserves that you don't already have.
The best Indie Bundles sites that have been operating from around 2011 are the Humble Bundle and Indie Gala sites (though the latter isn't as good as it used to be) where you'll sometimes find decent bundles with over 90% off the usual price of the games included in the bundles. The Humble site is in my opinion the best. A more recent addition that is worth checking out are the Fanatical bundles (that used to be called Bundle Stars) that you can find HERE.

Cave Story®'s Secret Santa is still available free over on GOG; when I first posted this over a week ago, it wasn't actually available; you will need to revisit the page to claim the game if you tried grabbing it last week).

There are several thousand (+) free games available on Steam, though if you go to the free games section you'll only find a few hundred listed. Many of them have been removed from the Steam store over the years, but, becasue some Steam community members have added them when they were available, they are still detailed in the Steam database. Becasue they are free, you can still access these if you know where to look and then add them to your account. I did try just adding ones I liked the look of, but it was so time consuming and I reckon I only looked over less than 1% of the games available, so decided just to run the script and let them all be added. A friend told me about it some weeks ago. He enjoys running the script for one run every morning while he takes breakfast, ). Because Steam rate limits the number of games you can add in any one hour, the script will only add 50 games at a time. He then looks them over and then removes the ones he doesn't want in his library; then repeats the next day while having his breakfast. He's been doing this for several months and said it's quite exciting discovering what games you can get for free.

Many of the games are decent first attempts by flegling developers; for example I was playing one of them that I'd added some days ago calledSinking Simulator where you can model the sinking of various ships and other floatables. If you like destructible physics based games, it's quite entertaining and an ideal coffee break game. It includes a level editor and access to over three thousand Steam WORKSHOP, items that include models of famous ships and other models that you can use to create your own ships. This is just one example from the several thousand totally free games you can add to your account.

There is a Script you can use in conjunction with SeamDB that will add every free game into your Steam account (It doesn't install them, just adds them to your account). I will be posting details of how to claim all those free games over in the forums when I get some time to myself. At the moment things are really manic for various reasons, so it probably won't be until the new year. I will be posting a link to the thread once I've posted it. :)

p.s.

I have one spare Steam key for each of the following games:

Siberia 2 (adventure game)
The Mims Beginning (sandbox god game)

I'm offering a Steam key for the above games to the first person who asks. Only one per community member; however, if there are more you would like, please add more choices - if no one claims those titles by Monday 3rd January, you may get a surprise via your email).

However, please check Steam to see if the game will interest you first. I'm really busy, so I may not respond until late in the day or even tomorrow. If someone has already asked for a particular title (unless it's other choices apart from the first), please don't ask for that game because the first person to ask will get the key. I 'may' include more titles later (probably over the weekend). I have thousands of spare keys from Bundle Stars (now called fanatical games) and other indie bundles; but I recently read on Fanatical that all keys sold by them are not guaranteed after a certain time and I know for certain that many of the thousands of Indie Gala keys I purchased were voided without being redeemed; Grrrr.....; so, it's always recommended that keys are redeemed sooner than later. I gave away a large number of Indie Gala Steam codes last year to a friend and almost all of them had been voided, even though they had never been redeemed. Many of the keys I've given away have been pre Summer 2017, so there's a chance those may be invalid even though they have never been redeemed; however, so far all of the keys I have given away recently i.e. around 100 games (that to purchase when not on sale would have cost well over a thousand pounds ) have activated on Steam. Though none were from Indie Gala.

Only thing I care about on Jan. 6th are the heroes protesting a pretender coming in.
