This game have its own uninstaller when installed but not work on my computer.
From the control panel couldn't uninstall, too.
Perhaps the problem is my computer is missing something.

Thanks a lot.

Thankyou for your reports and feedback. appreciated.
W.r.t. not being able to see the game giveaway on the main site (I’m assuming that’s what you mean???) I’m able to see if every weekend. The following is a screen capture of what i see on the home page of the giveawayoftheday page:
------------------------------------------------------------------------
/QUOTE!

Hi Whiterabbit-UK (aka Stephen) (Are you?)

See my pevious reply on another Gamegiveaway (post 5) (click): http://game.giveawayoftheday.com/haunting-mysteries-island-of-lost-souls/

Anyway, I'll try to be clearer.
On the gamegiveawayoftheday - spread the word http://game.giveawayoftheday.com/spread-the-word/ at the end of the page there is the code to add the ticker:

"Just select one of the sizes and copy-paste the appropriate code into your web page or blog post:
- Image ticker for blog's sidebar (200x140px, png)
- Image ticker for myspace/forum signature (320x100px, png)
- HTML ticker (customizable, javascript code, min. width 200px)
Ticker preview"

Under ticker preview, you can't see anything (no preview), even if you try all the three codes.
If you try to add those codes to one of your forum signatures (other forums), you won't see any ticker.
If I put the links in the address bar of my browsers, I can't see a picture (the picture of the ticker).
Try to click the following links:
http://game.giveawayoftheday.com/ticker/ticker1.png
http://game.giveawayoftheday.com/ticker/ticker2.png

I can't see the ticker. Do you see it?
Then try those ones:
http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/ticker/ticker.png
http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/ticker/ticker2.png

I can see both.
Hope this helps.
Best regards!

Win10 Home 64bit. It did take a while to load. The loading seems to start then slowed then it sped up and slowed. Not sure why, I didn't have anything else running. Anyways it loaded and install fine. There were some glitches in the game. but went into the game and went out again and it started again. I have finished the game and wish I had the option of being able to go back in and finding a couple of monies that I missed oh and that one flower that eluded me. Oh well, it was fun. Thank you once again.

Downloaded and installed quickly and smoothly on my 64-bit Win 7 Professional. I haven't had time to play it yet, but the game did open and was ready to go! From what I've seen, it will provide hours of excellent play with exciting, clear graphics. I already have several Playrix games from Big Fish, and every one is a winner! Thanks so much to Playrix and GGOTD!

Hi,
Downloaded fast on windows 8.1. Started fine and began playing, then it just stopped and hung up my computer.
I haven't tried it again yet. It looked good and the graphics were very clear and great!
Sometimes games run better, when I switch to the default pointer and will try when open again.
Have a great week!

@ Swamp Thing,

May I suggest you try Chrome, then? Or any other browser you care to try. I understand there are a whole lot of them.

I too don't like IE, but it is my fallback browser for when I want to make some comments on technical sites which don't accept my highly customized version of Firefox because their comment management system gets the hiccups when they don't like something and thus prevent me from even writing on those sites. IE? No problem. All I added to it was ABP and Blur.

No I don't have a web page or blog post, so I have no idea of the problems you are encountering, but if the browser is the problem, try something else until you find one you like.

Frank, I got the same Trojan. After installing the game my anti-virus was running with an alert. It quarantined the Trojan.
Trojan:Win32/Varpes.K!plock
file:C/Program Files (x86)/ Playrix Entertainment/Questerium Sinister Trinity/unins000.exe

This is the first nasty lil creature I've experienced from this site....It Did Happen Today!!

..................................Moderator comment.................................

If todays gamegiveaway had been infected we would have been innundated with hundreds of messages from the community; there has been almost 12 thousand downloads yet only 2 community members have reported a problem. It's known that files protected by themida code can often be tagged as malware, even when they are not. The file has been tested throughly and is clean; your security software is probably picking up on the Themida based wrapper found in the setup.gcd file. In the 8 years the giveaway team have been giving games away (well over a thousand), there has never been an infected game . You are mistaken when you say 'It Did Happen Today!!'

If you genuinley have found a trojan, it's more likely from something else that you've downloaded.

Angelaure,

You should look towards the France-based sites if you absolutely need to have the games win French. I have no idea where you could address your search, but I will tell you to first install Firefox and then to use duckduckgo dot com as your main search engine. You will get more answers and probably better ones, especially the longer you use the site.

I am surprised though that you are requesting French games, as I think your command of English is quite good and you would do yourself a great service by playing games in English, as they would help you to better your understanding of the language.

Translation,

bart

The new "version" of the site is NOT compatible with Firefox. I have had major problems with it using that browser since the new layout first came out. I finally gave up checking on my default browser and have had to start visiting the site from IE. IE works problem free, but I don't like IE. That's why it isn't my default. It IS VERY ANNOYING!

I hate to say this here and Whiterabbit may pull this comment, but I just checked game-owl dot com and they have it if you're really hung up on getting the CE version.

Frankly, I'm surprised at all of you whiners. You've been told time and again where there are other game sites, but here you still whine at something the site owners have spent time and effort in coming to an understanding with commercial entities to offer you, for a limited time, something for free which you would otherwise have to pay some amount of money for.

This one is not pleased because this game is not a Collector's Edition. This other one is whining about his antivirus giving a warning though you have been told every time to turn it off for the download and installation, because of the special installer used by the owners of this site to prevent fraud.

I rarely see any thank you's being posted to this page relative to the overall number of comments. I'm sure the owners could pull up statistics to see how many downloads they had for every game they proposed and look up how many thank you's were posted for each of them.

And no, I don't post thank you's here because while I do visit and post comments, I don't get my games from here. It's not that I don't trust them, but that I already have the games from elsewhere long before they appear here.

To the lurkers out there, come in and register and say thank you once in a while. Whiterabbit would be pleased to hear from you. so would the owners. I'm sure some of them read some of the comments some of the time.

To those of you who do say thank you, you are very much appreciated. Please come back again and tell your friends and family about this site. And warn them about the Themida-based installer so they won't be thinking you sent them to a virus-infected site. Thank you.

For starters, I just want to signal that the game.giveaway.com TICKER is NOT visible on a forum (where I put it as my sign).
It isn’t visible even in the Spread the word section of this website.

I submitted the compressed package, and the unzipped files, to WinDefender, SuperAntiSpyware, Malwarebytes and EmsiSoft Emergency Kit (those programs are installed or portable on this PC): no problems detected.
I submitted the G/GAOTD setup.exe to virustotal, jotti, metascan-online, and virscan: virustotal and jotti found nothing, FPROT scan engine on virscan found W32/Felix:P:Lastsect_unkn!Eldorado, on metascan-online --> virit scan engine found Trojan.Win32.DownLoader16.CH, Fortinet has failed to scan, but the other fortyone engines found nothing.

The game installed well on windows 10 standard x64, although system requirements says Windows XP/Vista/7/8.
I install all the games in d:\games and usually I move the shortcuts from the desktop to that folder... But when the shortcut isn't created by the application of the game, I must do this task myself.
This time I hadn't to create the shortcut on myself.
The game started and finished without problems.
On the exit, the windows compatibility app manifested itself; it enabled/ticked/selected Disable display scaling on high DPI settings in its properties – compatibility tab, because I’m using high DPI settings (150%).
Altough it worked well also without that setting (it seems there was nothing changed in the game, like the first time I started it).

Thanks for this game, as usual, to Whiterabbit-uk (aka Stephen), to GGAOTD and to Playrix!!!

You are right. SE means Special Edition, in which some small extras are added to the regular edition, such as wallpapers or screensavers from the game; maybe some of the original artwork or maybe a different way to play the game. But less is involved in an Special Edition than is involved in a Collector's Edition, where there are some really good extras really worth the extra wait.

Since I'm always late in discovering a game, the Collector's Edition is almost always out already, and therefore I don't even bother with regular editions unless a game doesn't have one.

Let's remember that not all games have a Collector's Edition, or even a Special Edition, though it is good of the development team to make either or both of those extras for us, even if I know that they are trying to milk the customer for a little more money. At least they give value for it.

To properly uninstall a game which doesn't have it's own uninstaller, bring up the control panel. Click on "Programs and Features" and put your pointer on the name of the game so it is highlited. A button will light up at the top of the window, just above the listing of the programs, titled "Uninstall". Click on that button and let Windows do the best it can to uninstall everything the program installed originally.

That's it! Program uninstalled.

I found the Intro very intriguing. I have to see what happens. The graphics have great depth. The music has an eeriness within it. This is very refreshing. I haven't made it past this point. Unfortunately, time is an issue today. If time allows, I'll repost later.

Thanks Playrix(it is a given really, but I will play along) and Stephen(loved the cheats - they will probably come in handy. I appreciate your work.)

So it is a CE! Sorry I thought SE represents Special Edition.

just wanted to know does this collectors edition have that much more to make it worth downloading over previous version? I have the game from previous giveaway, http://game.giveawayoftheday.com/questerium-sinister-trinity/ , in AUG. last year but it's not the collector's edition. I noticed download size is smaller by 18MB in this version then previous, although installed size is identical to previous version so didn't know what more it could contain I also noticed Whiterabbit rated it the same as last year's giveaway even though he's changed his scoring system from last year the overall rating was the same 7.6, so wasn't sure it would be worth the time in downloading. I enjoyed the game previously and worked fine on Windows 8. Thanks to GGOTD and Playrix for the game & Whiterabbit for his great reviews that help me decide whether to download, they are much appreciated.

SE stands for Standard Edition and CE stands for Collector's Edition. CE usually has extra gameplay and other attributes that the SE doesn't have like wallpapers etc.

Answering my own question, this seems to be the same game and not a sequel. Re-installed, because it's been a while :). BTW, in addition to the YouTube walkthroughs, there is a written walkthrough on the Net, though it's in German (I will try using Translate on it if I need it.) Though I try to avoid walkthroughs, I do sometimes need them, and prefer written ones to videos since I can more easily hone in on just the part I need a nudge with!

Playrix has always delivered superb quality games and this offering would be a good addition to your HOG (hidden object game) library. I've never had any problems with any of their games when it comes to performance. If you've never tried this genre of game? It may just interest you quite a bit if you give it a go. And with four difficulty levels it should appeal even to a beginner. Thanks Stephen for the review and thanks GGOTD for the title. Have a blessed day!

My granddaughter and I still play this one, the non-Collector's Edition was given away here August 16, 2014. One of our favorite games. She find parts of it very scary. I like the puzzles and graphics and overall atmosphere, and the side goals of finding all the mutated plants and cash bonuses. Some places are tough to figure out. It's curious that the Collectors Edition file is 285 MB, while the older non-CE file was 303 MB (both numbers from the description on the GOTD pages).

This was a pleasant surprise. I've gotten kind of tired of HOGs lately, so I almost passed on this, but I'm glad I didn't. The only weak part IMO is the tired storyline, but we don't play for the storyline anyway. The graphics and animation are good, the hidden objects are interactive, the background music is appropriately atmospheric. It's a keeper.

No problems downloading, installing or playing on Win 7 Home Premium (one of these days I'm going to steel myself to upgrade to Win 10... oooer!)

This is my first experience of the inclusion of real live actors in the game, so that's very novel... and the graphics are very good so far, tho I've only played for a few minutes as I'm a bit pushed for time today. Some of the HOs are a little difficult to find as the correlation between the item and task to complete can be somewhat obscure - but maybe that's just me. I look forward to being able to immerse myself fully in this game, as it seems to be full of promise ^‿^

There is just one thing tho - when the game tried to activate after I'd closed the pop-up as usual, this site returned an error message telling me "Sorry, no posts match your criteria". No idea what that's about, and the game played no bother, so perhaps it is irrelevant?

Downloaded quickly and without any hitches to my Win 10 pc. I brought up the start screen just to make sure it'll play and was quite intrigued by the human within the drawn scenery. I don't think I've ever seen that in any other casual pc game. It'll be interesting to see if he and/or others appear in later scenes. I wish I could play it now, but I've got to get some sleep now.

Thanks again GGAOTD and Whiterabbit for what looks to be a fun game to try.
