Psi Project
In Brief
A Wolfenstein/Doom like dungeon crawler with pixillated graphics

My first impressions, it reminded me of the very first Wolfenstein, or Doom, though the graphics are not as detailed. The graphics are very pixillated. Movement is WASD and opening doors is space. The mouse allows you to look around your environment as does the left and right arrow keys.
After struggling to get past the first few enemies, that appear as dark shadows, I finally figured out that you have to avoid them initially because you don't have any weapons at that point in the game and there doesn't appear to be a melee option where you'd fight with your fists. Once I'd figured out to just run once I'd picked up the first key card and head for the exit to level 2, the rest of the game was relatively easy. Basically you search a maze of rooms looking for key cards that match the color code on various doors, for example in level 2 there were a few green cards and a blue exit card. Level 2 had no enemies, so things were easy going. I did find a health pack, that brought my health back up to 100% as I'd lost about 20% on my run to exit level 1. Once I'd found the blue key card, I quickly found the appropriate door and entered the third level. Enemies appeared once more. Their presence usually indicated by a weird whining sound. As yet I'd not found any weapons, though I did see some symbols on a wall that looked like a weapon on level 2, but didn't find anything. By this time the maze of rooms and the movement was making me feel nauseous so i had to stop playing.

There is little difference between each of the rooms, most looking drab and grey. Level 3 did have some different looking rooms, but most were empty of any furniture. Bodies and splashes of blood were scattered around. I would advise that you save your progress frequently as if you die before saving you have to start over from level one. There are four save spots available. I'll check out the game more later this morning.

Whiterabbit-uk, Good Day ... :-)
I can’t go through level 9, where is the blue Boss. Unkillable! Can you help me? Thanks, with respect Valery.

Valery,

Hi Valery,
A good day to you too Valery. I'm really sorry, unfortunately I deleted the game after the giveaway ended. It gave me really bad motion sickness every time I tried to play it for more than a few moments. I only got as far as level 4.

Getting as far as level nine I presume you've enjoyed playing the game? You can get several free games that are similar to Psi Project (what some gamers call Doom like games) from itch.io HERE. I highly recommend Sightless, Doom Retro Remake, ReDoom: Doom recreated, Rock, Paper Scissors Doom and Nightmare Prism. Next to the download button it says ''name your own price'' Just click on the download button then click on where it says ''No thanks, just take me to the downloads'' This system is fort hose who wish to contribute to the games development. There's no need to contribute if you don't wish to, or can't afford to. All the games listed via the first link are free.

Whiterabbit-uk, thanks for the quick reply!
"Getting as far as level nine I presume you've enjoyed playing the game?"
---> No, I have not seen such horror(mediocre game) for a long time... :-D Just wondering what at the end. Even if I don't pass level 9, I'll still delete it.
A very insidious and ugly plan of this developer(Vyacheslav Shilikhin) or publisher(Droid Riot) - in this archive (PsiProject-sb28mk.zip) there were many PUPs: after installing it, shortcuts appeared on the desktop - 1.Psi Project(run the game), 2.Falco Space - Online Game!, 3.FalconLine Online Games Website, 4.FalcoGo WebGL Games!, 5.Free Games Downloads!
---> after each game, upon exiting it, it necessarily creeps into the Internet(https_falcoware.com/)
===> Many thanks for the gift (links to the old school)!!!

Valery,

Totally agree with you on the mediocrity. I deleted it once the giveaway was over as I did for the second game. The developer is one of those that uses cheap or free game engines to create rubbish games that they sell for small change. there is a growing community on Steam that basically collect games for the game count; i.e. they want to get in the top 100 Steam game owners club (I actually used to be the number 2 in the world, but for a very different reason) so these cheap games are hoovered up to increase their game numbers. Steam has become a weird place in this respect ever since the advent of top tables. Some Steam community members ever run hundreds of games at the same time just to get on the top of the hours spent playing games lists. When I last checked last year a few community members had accrued so many hours of game time dividing the number of hours then days then years indicated they had been playing for longer than I'd been alive (I'm 63), which of course is impossible considering there were no PC's so many years ago and Steam is only 14/15 years old. There's one guy in my Steam friends list that has over 19 000 Steam games. When I looked at his inventory it tells you how long each game has been played. More than half of the games have never been played. Seems such a waste (b.t.w. I'm nearly as bad as I have a few thousand games in my Steam library still unplayed as I went through a stage a few years ago where I was buying games virtually every day for a couple of years. I became a little obsessive at the time, but was brought back down to earth when my wife showed me how much money I'd 'wasted on those games. I bought mine not for the lists, but for my pain management as I find playing games helps significantly.

With respect to the Falco shortcuts and redirection to their home page. That is for advertising purposes. Every time you visit their home page, they earn revenue, part of which is passed on to the owners of the games.

Whiterabbit-uk, Thanks for the detailed answer!
Falco shortcuts - they do not bother me (today I will delete along with the game), I just wanted to warn You and users about PUP in this game.
***Special thanks for the manual ;-)
I am 53 years old, sometimes I play (nostalgia), but mostly I collect games for my son (and his friends) and my friends.
It turns out that on Steam there is a banal "cheat" (artificial overstatement) of games \ voting \ rating, etc. Many people / gamers, recently, have noticed this and are gradually leaving there ...
___"but for my pain management as I find playing games helps significantly" - I know this (get distracted, but not by games), I’ve been struggling with the consequences of thrombophlebitis for 8 years.
"they earn revenue, part of which is passed" - well, okay, at least some help to developers.
Found another address in the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Psi Project_is1(HelpLink: http_Freegamia.com).

delenn13,

Thanks Delenn, always appreciate your heads up. (I'd previously purchased it when it was first released as an early access as I reminded me a little of the original Syndicate but with updated graphics. Both are isometric real time tactical strategy games; that said, its really nothing like the older game. :)
