I liked the game up to the point where it said I could only keep going if I play in hard mode, I did. I went through it all over again and I get to the last level. My point...it kinda bites that the "Captain" can "shoot" the items before I even get to see them. Needless to say, I no longer like this game. Fix the end and I'll try again. Thanks.

Installed on Win 2000 Pro computer. Plays perfectly, easy install. Lovely scenic graphics, easy to play. Has a choice of skill levels easy, normal, or hard...which even the hard is NOT. My 5 year old daughter can play it, but it held my interest for several hours of play. Nice starter game. Thanks for giving us this one guys!

Did you not see the winking smiley? Did you not see my response to his post in the forum? DID YOU NOT SEE THE SARCASM THAT PRACTICALLY DRIPPED FROM EVERY LETTER AND PUNCTUATION MARK IN MY COMMENT?!

The truth is that I was excited to see that Whiterabbit, undeniably the most respected visitor to this site since BladedThoth, enjoys shoot-em-ups as much as I do. He even said that they were his favorite genre!

Contrary to your last comment, xxx, you do hate me. That's the only reason that you would take obvious sarcasm and spin it out of context to accuse me of something that I didn't do. It's also the only reason why you only comment to put me down. I don't really care about it, though - it's hard to take you seriously when everybody else likes me.

Now I'm being arrogant and mean.

Downloaded and played this game. What a unique variation on the match 3 style of game. I enjoyed the different challenges on the different levels and the night-time levels were quite a surprise.

Only had one problem with a level where the playing board advanced up but I had not yet cleared out a centre section of the board and was unable to clear out the 'white' and 'gold' tiles in that section as a result of the board shifting upwards. Minor annoyance that I'll watch out for in future levels.

I'm not a big gamer and I made it through the all if the Normal levels in one day. Tried doing the Expert levels, but it's really just more of the same.

If you enjoyed Treasures of Montezuma, you'll probably like this... for about one day.

Rats! I had to re-download this, as I doofed off & played a game that somehow made it not save right! And I don't think I have time to finish the download again on dial-up, although I started the thang again a bit ago. Dialup is such a drag! Tip- try not to use any games onlines while downloading if u have dialup! :) lol@me! Thank you GOTD & Reaklore! This is a great game! My sis bought it recently too & loves it!

Could you post a link to that typo, lol! I am serious! Post it on the forums!

This is not the game I Beta tested. The game I tested did not have a conveyor belt, this makes it easier not to crash the playing field. The bonus levels got harder. The gun and the ropes are now less frequent.
Still a very good game!

Installed on Windows XP. Played the initial game to test. Exited from the game and tried to restart. Would not run from shortcut. Tried running from the application file. Still would not load. Tried to unstall and it did not remove all the files indicating they were in use.

Tried to reinstall and it would not reinstall over the fragments that were left from previous installation.

Hi Mapsking comment #44. The Shmups would have been posted earlier, but I fell asleep while reading with my 7 year old daughter around 6pm and woke up at 2am. I've still got some online games to add to the review as well a few image links and then I need to proof read and set the coding for italics and bold writing. Hopefully it will be posted sometime this morning (20th Feb)

Thanks Reallore and GGOTD for nice variation on the Match 3 game. My one suggestion is that you get someone else to do the English translations for your games.

I finally got to play this new game and I luv it. Downloaded and installed just fine on XP Home. The one thing I am having probs with are the BONUS levels (in puzzle mode).......and for the life of me, I cannot figure it out. But no big surprise as it took me a while to realize what it took to get thru just one level....lol.....duh, next time I will read W.R. comments more closely. And watch the top of the screen better.
Thanks for the great games...some I can get, others are too big but u cannot complain about FREE.....keep up the good work, we luv ya !!!

Just got around to really figuring the game out now..(insert blushing icon here). It's a great spin on the match 3 genre, and I think the graphics and backgrounds are beautifully coloured, with real depth- I really enjoyed the artwork. Who knows what that parrot is trying to tell me! As for poorly translated passages, I figure if you really have a problem with it, go read one of the classics. This is a match 3 game for computer- c'mon guys! Haven't had any crashing or other problems with the game. I would definately buy this game, but thanks to Realalore quality and GGOTD's generosity, don't need to. Would tell my friends about it. Thank you all!!

Thanks for another game from Realore! I have been very happy with their games, and we just love Turtle Odyssey 1 and 2. This game downloaded and setup in less than 5 minutes on my Windows XP. Both game play modes seem to woork without issues. It is a match-3, but you choose your pieces from the botton and place within the board - different than I am use to, but fun. And, offers difficulty levels. Thanks!

I haven't had this problem before, but for some reason, I cannot save the game.ini file back to its original folder. Running Vista Home Premium. I edited the file in notepad and hit save. I also tried save as and edited in wordpad. The system tells me (in one of the messages) that I don't have access rights. I am the only one who uses this laptop. I installed the setup with "run as administrator".

The reason this is crashing on Vista when you try to change the video settings is most likely because it's making changes to game.ini in the Program Files subdirectories. Vista does NOT like programs that write to the Program Files folders.

Manually editing game.ini as described by several other posters above allows you to change the window mode, color depth, and resolution without the game crashing. Wored fine for me on VHP, anyway. Thanks to the hackers who figured this one out for the rest of us - much appreciated.

Now I'm going to go look for a game.ini file in Age of Japan II, which exhibited similar issues under Vista. Bet I can make it work, too.

Great game! Works great on my Windows XP sp3 machine (that's not a typo for those of you wondering - I said SP THREE) but I didn't try it on my Vista machine yet so no input there.
Not quite as good as...say...Treasures of Montezuma, however, still a great game and worth the download.

Game installed okay, and seemed to start okay, but screen was flashing & I was unable to enter my name - box appeared with cursor, but typing had no effect.

Closed the program (had to use Task Manager), then saw a message box saying, "Video Card Compatible with DirectX 8.0 or higher version not found." But I'm running DirectX 10.0!

I'm on a pretty new Gateway laptop running Vista Home Premium. It has Intel GMA 950 Chipset video with an up-to-date driver. And it's running DirectX 10.0.

Any Ideas?? Thanks!

I usually love the offerings from Realore, which is why I decided to give this a try even though I've played many match 3 games before. This is a nice tweak on the usual match three game. I haven't gotten very far yet (had a bad seizure that laid me low for half the day) but I'm really enjoying the game so far. This one's a keeper for me.

Sometimes the match 3 games all seem the same to me and I get bored with it, but the set-up of grabbing the right icon to make a match from the conveyor belt really makes this feel different from the same old same, old match 3 games I've played before. The bonus and boss levels are a real challenge for me, which are keeping me interested because I don't like a game that's too easy. So, I like that you have the option to set the difficulty of the game to your preference.

The only con I see is the grammar on the journal entries could use some improvement.

I always get excited when I see a Realore offering because I love their games. Any chance that Jane's Hotel will be a giveaway? I've played the demo and fell in love with it, but lack the funds to get the game for myself at this time. I'm disabled with no income of my own and dependent on my father's meager income which has to support five people and meet all the endless medical expenses. So I really hope you'll consider offering Jane's Hotel here.

Thank you Realore and GGOTD for continuing to offer great games I might never have the chance to own otherwise.

Really good game, but how on earth do you get past "Greedy Orm" ?
He waves his arm, steals some coins from me and then I seem to die without any possible explanation.
What do I do to get past him ?

A match 3 with a little twist. Nice game, good graphics and sound, interesting gameplay. I have played the first 7 or 8 levels and it seems easy so far. I am sure it will get more challenging as the game goes on.

I know some people are bored with match 3's but I don't mind them and this one is a little different. You pick up the token from the bottom of the screen and place it in the game field to make a match. It has the usual set of bonuses and a few unique ones. Not a great game so far but a keeper for me. I haven't had any of the problems others have mentioned but then I haven't tried to change the screen size or resolution settings either. Running fine on XP.

Thanks GGOTD and Realore for a nice game!

Nice twist on match 3.
I actually thought about buying this when it first game out, but I was busy, and then there were so many other games.

I am glad for the reminder (and the free game). Now I will finally be able to see where the stories go. (I have a weakness for storyline games).

There are a few punctuation, grammar, and wording errors in the story, but overall it makes more sense then some of the other translations I have seen.

Thank you very much GGOTD and Realore!

Well... been playing the game for a few hours this morning on and off... fun game BUT... there is a glitch (at least in the normal mode) and will not go to level 27. When I beat level 26 (done 4 times) it puts me back to the start menu... when I push start... it puts me back to level 26 AGIAN... So... cant recommend this game until that glitch is fixed. Only had 3 more levels to go to finish the game, very disapointing!

Good polished and attractive matchgame only it has serious problems with Vista crashes if you want to change the resolution or change from fullscreen to window mode.
Making it compatible with XP SP2 does'nt work, but I installed it on my old PC running XP SP2 and worked well.

Kelly (#10) There hasn't been a match-3 in about a week. Quit complaining! If you don't like the game, do as I've done recently - just not download and wait for the next day. Anticipation is half the fun!

Several have complained about the crashing on changing from full to windowed and a note of changing the fullscreen option in the game.ini file was given.

Further complaints on the inability (or crashing while trying) to change the screen resolution. That can also be fixed!

In the same game.ini file in the main folder to this game make the following changes:

Set xs= Whatever you have for your resolution (for me 1024)
Set yw= Whatever you have for your resolution (for me 768)
Set color=32

It will now show high resolution if you look at the options. If you in addition change the windowing option, it will show that, too.

It is a little different than the standard match 3 but it is a nice game. I've only played the puzzle mode so far (Ellis).

It downloaded and works fine on my 32 bit Vista Ultimate.
