Installation:
PippiStory downloads to a 45.9 MB zip file that unzips to two files, (a setup executable and a read me). The game installs to the following path by default, but can be changed if you wish. The installed game is approximately 119 MB in size.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Pippi Story
Five shortcuts are installed to the desktop, four of which can be safely deleted (i.e. Falco Space - Online Game!, FalconLine Online Games Website, FalcoGo WebGL Games! and Free Games Downloads!). If you don't want to install the games shortcut to the desktop during installation, just make sure the install desktop shortcut is unchecked when the 'additional task's window appears; you will still get two of the other Falcoware shortcuts installed (i.e. FalconLine Online Games Website & FalcoGo WebGL Games shortcuts). Also, if you don't like icons installed to the quick launch task bar, make sure you also uncheck the appropriate checkbox when the 'additional task's window appears (after the Select Start Menu Folder window).
The Game:
Positive comments:
There are a lot of design issues with the game, but it is in a playable state.
To the dev:
* Fix the alignment on the walking sprite.
* You may want to point out to the player that they can double jump, and that they can hop on enemies to damage them.
* The way you pass through an enemy after hopping on them is really... Unusual. It grates against my Mario instincts.
* I can jump over the walls at either edge of a stage and fall into the abyss. You may want to make the walls higher.

funny small game that makes you feel you've returned to good old 8 bit Nintendo times :) Pixel game graphics looks really similar to that times when 8 bit was the highest achievement in technical progress. Yes, there is a complicated story behind the Pippy, but lets be honest - who ever cares about the story this much?
game process is a lot similar to Super Mario - everlasting meme and hit game - there are jumps to eliminate enemies, jumps to perform some action, hidden rooms you cannot find until you search for it, though you can die while searching - sometimes you just don't see where you are jumping to.
However, overall game's done properly - levels design is interesting, game's constantly keeping good level of contrast between secondary elements and primary ones; though i must admit its much more difficult than Super Mario was :) or maybe I just became little older. I can recommend it to anyone who likes platformer games

Negative comments:
It is a very basic platformer, the goal is to collect little clouds that to save your friends. The game controls well, the music is acceptable and the pixel art is decent while not moving but if you are moving it becomes blurry. The level design is boring and in half of the levels you have to wait until an enemy moves out of your way so you can progress.
The game also has a lot of bugs, on the very first screen you can glitch out of bounds, there are many of these spots where you can go out of bounds. I also managed to skip the bosses 2 and 3 and got the achievement for killing them by defeating and dying to the first boss 3 times. As a result of this bug i never got to fight the second boss and could go to the third world immediately.

I really wanted to like PippyStory, because of it's cute style. However, I cannot recommend it due to the many issues I have with it. For one, I really hate how many levels include tight corridors full of enemies, as this is really cheap and unfair to the player in a game where you don't have any weapons or means to defend yourself other than jumping. The screen and sprites are constantly flickering, which is distracting and annoying. The player only has 3 hearts, but the invisibility frames don't even work and lead to a lot of enemies cheaply killing you quickly. In the first world these issues were very few and far between, and the game was enjoyable, but as soon as I got past the first boss, all the enjoyment was quickly sucked out of the game.
I think with work, PippyStory could be a really great game for a reasonable price, but in it's current form I simply cannot recommend it. If the developer were to fix the glitches and perhaps design the later levels a bit better, I would change my review and recommend it, but for now all I can say is that Puppy Story is not worth it.

Conclusion:
PippiStory is a playable platformer; I didn't have time for a decent session playing this game partly due to having two reviews to sort, plus i have other responsibilities to carry out. From my limited game play, it's worth checking out for yourself, then decide whether its worth keeping. It has more positive comments than negative by the Steam community. :)

Problems getting the game to work:
If you're having problems installing or activating or getting PippiStory to work please visit the FAQ's Thread HERE and read through the communities comments because sometimes fixes have already been posted, for example, a common issue seen since the Themida wrapper was introduced three years ago is that some community members installation of the game are blocked by their security because Themida code has been known to hide malware, (usually an error message is flagged for example 'The executable is corrupted' even though in reality it is not); so as a precaution some anti malware programs will block and even delete the suspect installation files even though the files (i.e. the setup, read me and setup.gcd files are actually totally free from malware. This issue can be solved either by rebooting your computer in safe mode with networking or a quicker method is to temporarily turn off your security software to allow the installation. You could also try white-listing the setup.gcd file. In the almost 12 years this game giveaway site has been operating there has 'never' been a game given away that was infected with malware.

The Elder Scrolls celebrates its 25th Anniversary this week since the first in the series ''Arena'' was released in 1994. If you create a free account at Bethesda.com this Sunday 31st March, you will get a free copy of the third Elder Scrolls game Morrowind HERE. Accessing other Bethesda pages and you'll get a pop up giving you a button link to redeem the code ''TES25TH-MORROWIND'' This can only be done on the 31st March.

Many fans of the franchise still say Morrowind, released in 2003-4 is the best of the lot despite its aging graphics; I agree. When I first played Morrowind 15 years ago I was literally gob-smacked by the gameplay and at the time the beautiful open world environment. Granted, it looks dated now, but its still brilliant. Later iterations of the game look amazing, though Bethesda/Zenimax have dumbed down the game slightly since Morrowind. Of all the games I've ever played, The Elder Scrolls in my number one favorite game. If I was only able to take one game franchise with me it would be The Elder Scrolls, with its brother game Fallout coming a close second.
You can get also get the first two games in the series free from Bethesda HERE(Arena) and HERE (Daggerfall ). If you buy the add-on The Elder Scrolls: Battlespire via GOG , they include Arena and Daggerfall for free. The GOG versions come with emulators that enable you to play the games without having to mess around with separate emulators.

Also, all the Elder Scrolls titles are on sale over on Steam during the 25 year celebrations. You can find then all Here until Monday evening.
