This is a good picross game where you click to fill in the number of squares that it tells you for each row. there is a good tutorial where you can practice. Worth trying you might like it.

Sort of Bobby. Same root. Number logic puzzles. Process of elimination. Like Mine Sweeper but without the bombs. Something like the board game Mastermind. Indirectly related to the board game Clue, also. Also, unlike Mine Sweeper, you start out with information without having to risk getting blown up by an initial click. The 2 pictures above are slightly misleading. Those are solved puzzles. What is slashed through on the top and the left are numbers that are visible when you start the puzzle. The numbers give you clues to what hidden blocks must be filled blocks in the puzzle, and which are actually empty, as they all start out. By correctly identifying those blocks, you get clues to other blocks, until you can correctly mark all the blocks as filled or empty. Assuming the creator has played fair. Once in awhile, you have to make a 50/50 guess on a block - but most of these games you get 100% of the information - so, unlike Mine Sweeper, you don't have to guess at all. Most of the versions I have don't require any guessing. Maybe once in awhile the designer makes an error. But, as I say, I rairly find one. The slashed out numbers are another clue. If you correctly identify the filled in blocks that correspond to one of the numbers, or one on both the left and top, the game automatical slashes out that number/those numbers, which can act like another clue. These games just require patience and clear thinking. Not as hard as it may sound, though the large puzzles can take time. As I said, patience. Again, no bombs and instant losses. Your errors are just recorded, and all I've seen make you start over if you make too many errors - usually 3. If you're obsessive like me, you try to get none. A lot like timed games that give you gold, silver, and bronze awards. Hope that helps. Enjoy.

BobbyA, no, not minesweeper. This game is played by filling in squares as designated by the number on the top and sides. Example is if the grid has 5 open squares and the number on the side it 5, then you would select all 5 squares and fill them in. If there are 5 open squares in the grid but the number on the side is 3, then you need to figure out which squares need to be selected. Usually starts out easy then gets tough.
