Physics Car Forever

The Game

Physics Car Forever is a nice little side scrolling vehicle based physics game. The aim is to manoeuvre your vehicles from the start to the red flag finish. You get different vehicles to try out over the levels provided.

The A & D keys give you your movement left and right, the W & S keys enable you to tilt your vehicle backwards or forwards to stop your vehicle from toppling over. This isn’t as easy as it seems and will take some practice to complete your first level. In particular, the last jump before the red flag is particularly hard to pass. There are 14 levels to play, all but the first are locked at the start. To proceed to the next level you have to complete the previous level. If you get stuck, or your vehicle overturns press R to reset to the beginning of the level.

There seems to be a bug where the wheels of your vehicle separate from the body near the end of the first level. I almost made it to the end when the wheels separated from the yellow car (see the last image below). Despite this; Physics Car Forever is a keeper for me. I have several of this type of game from trial bikes to articulated transporters, some with basic graphics like todays game, some with AAA equivalent graphics. You’ll also find lots of these on those browser based game sites where you can play for free. I recommend downloading this one. It’s not a game I could play for extended periods, but It’ll give you a few moments fun during your coffee/tea breaks. Once you’ve mastered the movement and balance of your vehicles, the levels can be completed fairly quickly; that said, can you master the technique?

The latest game from Epic ends tomorrow at 4pm (UK time) Halcyon 6 Starbase Commander; a retro space strategy RPG with base building, deep tactical combat, crew management and emergent storytelling. Tomorrow (18th February) we will be getting two games Absolute Drift; an excellent minimalistic top down drift game and even better Rage 2; a superb post apocalyptic first person shooter, with the ability to drive vehicles in an open world. {Created by one of my favourite game studios (Avalanche Studios with ID Software) I'm playing two of Avalanches games at the moment (with friends) called Second Extinction and Generation Zero; they are also the creators of the fantastic Just Cause franchise}.

At the moment We Were Here an atmospheric first person psychological horror game is free over on Steam until the 22nd February.

Notes on Security

I scanned a zipped copy of the installed game and it found zero hits from 61 antimalware engines. The downloaded executable may include some low level adware that only opens your browser to Falcowares home page after the game has installed, but does not inject any malware into your system. When your browser is opened to Falcowares home page it earns them some money, part of which is given to the developer of the game for allowing the game to be given away free.
