The Game

Penguin Bob is a 3D platformer with cute graphics. Very child like look, which may be suitable for younger children to help with dexterity. There are three boxes along the bottom of the game arena, these indicate the number of items you've collected, for example snow balls and fish. Collect snow balls to use against the jailers, who throw coloured balls at you. Avoid being hit by these or you'll lose one of your three lives each time you are hit. If you fall off a platform you also lose a life. Movement is accomplished using the WASD or the arrow keys, or a combination of both You'll find it easier to move using both the arrow and WASD keys in combinations; for example, moving diagonally from the normal game movement use both the forward and left, forward and right back and left etc. I also found it difficult to get the correct direction of throw when throwing snow balls. Use the left mouse button to throw snowballs. Jump using the space bar and pick up items by walking up to them and pressing E. Snow balls once used will respawn so that you can use them again if needed. The crystals activate moving platforms to take you across gaps you can't jump. The platforms are multi leveled. Kill the bad penguins to free Bobs girlfriend.

To leave the game click on the pause button located in the top right corner of the game arena. This opens a window that enables you to leave the game. You can see a video of game play HERE. If you wished to support the developer you caan find them HERE on Itch.io

Don't forget to check the giveaway game discussion forums HERE; especially Delenn's threads for non Steam and steam freebies. The latest Epic game freebies are Watch Dogs 2 (usual cost £49.99/$49.99/€59.99), Football Manager 2020 (usual cost £39.99/$49.99/€54.99) and Stick it to the Man (usual price £7.99); I highly recommend Watchdogs 2, though it contains mature content so isn't suitable for the kids). Tomorrow afternoon at 4pm (UK time) we will be getting Roller Coaster Tycoon 3: The Complete Edition (this was an Epic Exclusive and has been available exclusivly from Epic since last September 19. Its finally due for release on Steam just a few hours from when Epic are giving the gaame away free.

There's a couple of new additions to the Indie Gala freebies called Desert Law and The Tomorrow War (a 3D space shooter with ground strafing on planets. The game reminds me of a souped-up version of the first space shooter I ever bough back in the early 90's called Epic, but with far superior graphics.
