The rules are the same, but the new piece designs make the game a lot more interesting. The premise of Color Blocks Block Puzzle is simple: Drag blocks around the screen to fit them into the shaded region in the middle of the screen.
Columns - a mix between falling blocks gameplay and match 3 games. Play until the pieces reach the screen top, just like the classic games. Collect more than 20 achievements to unlock them all!
I am having a great time with this game. I loath slider puzzles with numbers in order and such but this one, for some reason, I can get. I don't care about the number of moves, only if I can get the vehicle out! the size is fine and I have it open a lot when I am waiting for something else, either to download or on hold on the phone. I have solved some in as few as 10 and others went over a hundred moves which is not a problem for me. I like that you are shown the way out right away with the arrows on the ground so you know where the car is. I think it's well done for it's size. still working on New York. thanks a bunch!

I seem to be terrible at this. I have persevered because I hate to be beaten but I think I have probably got two puzzles out, out of about 20 tried. Dammit. And most people say it is easy! Dear me, I AM getting old. And stupid........

For anyone who has trouble downloading the games - I cannot explain why, but I get exactly the same problems in Internet Explorer. The way I get round it, is to save the file to the desktop and open it then. Trying to open the file without saving it first, it just never downloads for some reason.

I feel like a dork that the later levels are stumping me. I've always been somewhat "spatially challenged"! Is there anything on the Web that give tips for slider games like this? It's time I "got it". I've searched to no avail.

Thanks for offering to help.
The crash report is in Notepad and is really long. Can't take a screen shot of it. Any way for me to send you the file or post it on a file site?

I remember playing a flash game on my PC years ago just like this. I believe it was called Parking Shuffle.

Held my attention for a while but I got bored. Thanks.

The fact that it is a port probably works against it. The puzzles are too easy. Even the most difficult can be solved within a few minutes. The fields are small because the game doesn't allow for larger fields. Had it been a case of moving an object from one part of a field up or down and across to another it might have made for a more interesting game. And 1500 levels is just too much. It would take someone a week doing 300/day for about 10 hours/day to solve them all.

I say that white rabbit should wake up and put in a review of some game he likes or bought even if it's not about the game being given away today! I think they give games to gotd so they can drive up sales. The reviews by the rabbit are what drives up sales and if PlayJoWee Publishing does want to give the rabbit a demo let it be their loss of sales, but I come to gotd becus of the reviews - so wake up rabbit and give us a review....on anything...

An okay game for what it is... good time wasting puzzle game. If the Android version is free, I may put it on my next phone (all out of space on the current phone!).
Thank you to Game GAOTD and PlayJoWee.

Now that I've played a bit more, I have to agree with others' criticism about the lack of the ability to challenge yourself to better past times. It would be nice if, say, after playing 10 levels, you could choose to go back and play the same 10 levels and compare your scores. Since these vary in difficulty, there's really no way to tell if your score is good or not.

Figured what the heck and downloaded and installed fine on Win 8.1. To my surprise, the small size didn't bother me and it's actually kinda fun! Not at the level of some of the great games we've gotten lately, but then this isn't meant to be. It's a cute little time-waster that I think I'll stick on my phone for when I'm waiting in line :). One annoyance is that when you are done with a level, it then first calculates the time it took and the steps, even though while you are playing it is keeping track of the number of steps. Weird. But overall, for what it is, I'd give it a thumbs-up, while hoping for a more exciting and complex game tomorrow (like an adventure game).

I happen to like slider games so this one was a given to try. I have several on my Kindle Fire HDX but only one or two that game with game bundles for the PC.
It works fine (albeit a little small) on my Windows 7 64 bit machine. The one advantage of it being small, is you can drag it to one side and use it as a time-waster while you're waiting for something else (half overlapping another window to make it easy to flip back and forth between windows).
This many levels is great. Even if you complete them all, will you remember them when you want to go back? Not very likely!
Since this was my 3rd PlayJoWee in about that number of weeks, I did break down and create it's one games folder and then moved the other two to it. Fixing the other shortcuts was easy as well as checking if there were other broken shortcuts (Shortcuts Manager now works for 64 bit machines).
The first few levels did have a tutorial of sorts for those who are not as comfortable with this type of puzzle. Beyond that, you're on your own. I personally like the mix of very easy with somewhat complicated so it works for me.
I gave it a thumbs-up and I'll keep it.
Thanks GOTD!

Hi,
For the last few weeks, I haven't been able to download the games using Firefox. And it's just been the last few weeks. The little "wait" symbol just keeps spinning. So, I have to open IE and then I have no problem. By chance, have you taken Firefox out of the "download" group. (Sorry, I don't know what it is called.)
I hope my question is clear enough.
Please advise. Thank you.

I had a version of this game on my first Palm Pilot, waaay back when those PDAs first came out. For some reason I loved that game.
Because of my found memories, I downloaded this to try out. It's the same premise and a fairly easy game. It works fine on my computer, but because it is made for phones, the screen is very narrow. I would prefer to play this on my tablet rather than my computer and I because of the small screen and other issues, I probably won't play this on my computer. I don't really see the point of making these types of portable app games available for PC - it's just not a good match.
I will say a few things about the game play for the developer based on what I would like to see on a tablet/phone version.
I've played five boards on level one. The play is good, but I think you need to do something to differentiate the vehicle you are trying to release from the others. It is pretty hard to see the exhaust effects on my computer screen; I imagine it would be impossible on a small phone.
Lose the guy standing there and the other extraneous effects/ decorations around the game board. You don't have much space, don't waste it on things that don't matter to the game play. Also, lose the timer count up at the end of the board. I'm pretty sure I know how long I'm taking, but having the timer count up to the completion time before moving on is arduous and unnecessary. If I'm solving puzzles fast, I want to get to the next one ASAP to keep my interest. If a puzzle is difficult and I take a long time doing it, I don't want to have to sit around waiting for a long timer. Give me a quick acknowledgement and then get me to the next board.
There isn't much else to say about this game, as it is so simple. Everything else seemed to work correctly on a Win 7.

These phone games ported to Windows don't really do much for me. Playing a game that runs in a relatively tiny window just has no appeal. Appreciate the offer, but I'll pass. Hopefully tomorrow's game won't be another one of these.

Installs and plays fine in Vista 32. There is no sound and no time limits, you can replay or skip a level; every ten levels there are options to "rate me" or "continue" (the former apparently isn't functional on PCs). Levels don't seem to get more difficult as you progress, though I only played the first fifty New York levels, some were completed in a few seconds with less than a dozen moves while a few I skipped after seventy moves. I find this little game quite enjoyable, definitely a keeper (though it's irritating that if you move a car at all, however slightly, even without releasing the mouse button, it still counts as a move).
(I will note one oddity with this game's install - it somehow moved another small game into its folder during the install, so the other game was now a subfolder of Parking. I noticed this when creating a shortcut, otherwise there would have been some unacceptable language the next time I tried to play that other game; easily corrected but still strange.)

Works on windows 10 Build 9926. Only problem is the redo arrow does not give you the same puzzle. Would like a challenge mode - where you could replay the same puzzle to challenge a friend; or challenge yourself to find the solution in fewer steps. The rate me function did not work.

It seems that most every time there's one of these games, it crashes. Is there some way that I can get someone to look at the crash report and see what the deal is?
Thanks!

Another PlayJoWee Publishing game, with no demo to work with, I've not been able to write a review.
. Tomorrows game will be different. :)
Basically what we have is another android port, so the game will appear as a small rectangular window. Clicking on play opens up five packs New York, Abu Dhabi, Moscow, Berlin and Paris. Each pack contains 300 levels, so in total you have 1500 levels to play. (Wow!).
The aim of the game is to move vehicles around a grid (6x6) so as to clear the path for one vehicle. The twist is that you have very limited space to move. Much like the old sliding puzzle game.
