It's a shame how I can't seem to be downloading anything from either giveaway anymore. No matter what time of the day I try - and trust me, I try several times! - the download pages won't load. :/

Whiterabbit- please continue to post even if you just tell us your conclusive opinion. Everyday with out fail when My 4 year old wakes up we always check the game of the day. I go right to your post. Its the only one I read. And then based on your conclusion we decide if we want to keep the game. I also do not go to your screen shots so maybe if you kept it short and sweet. We would still get the your opinion without all the work for you........Thanks Kim

ahh the bubble bobble guys! I remeber them from waaaaay back! I'm sure by now there's been more games involving them, but I have to admit, I'm not in the know anymore. I do like this game for a bubble shooter for the levels, bonuses and different modes. a bit toooo simple, even my kids looked at me funny;)! I played 15 levels(had to quit!) hoping it'd get tougher, but alas.... is there some middle ground? a bubble shooter with levels and bonuses and a bit tougher?
not a big gamer, but look for something to blow a few minutes every once in a while.
Honestly, if my kids weren't teens, I'd keep the game for them. otherwise cute, not keepable.

Regarding WhiteRabbit,

I also love his reviews, but geeeze people - talk about you all being just plain selfish. He's TOLD US that he doesn't enjoy doing the reviews any longer - so let him concentrate on the forums where you can see the time that he puts in there now.

He's enjoying that far more now - so let the man go and get over yourselves.

White Rabbit, you've provided us a wonderful FREE service for around a year now and we're all grateful for the time you used to put into your lengthy reviews. Thank you so much.

See you in the forums!

#50 Diane. A program launching it's home site when it exits does not make it adware. Adware is a dirty word and you'd do well not to abuse or misuse it. Are you suggesting the GOTD client is adware? It's not. But it also launches the home site in your browser when it exits. In all of these cases loading the website gives you a chance to see what's new, but more importantly it exposes you to ads that can pay for the home site's ability to offer free stuff. Ads are involved in the grand scheme of things but that doesn't make it adware in any accepted sense of the word.

http://www.google.com/search?q=define%3Aadware

This harmless website launching gives sites like gametop.com or myrealgames.com or GOTD the ability give us excellent free stuff. However, if you want real adware with your free stuff check out myplaycity.com and read the user agreement when you try to install.

Thanks for the game but ill pass today But for free it is accceptable

Don't understand such comments, even ignoring ill for I'll. If you have a description of the game or your experience with it, fine, but do you really think all the people here are concerned with the personal preferences of a 12 year old they don't even know. You have to wade thru all these babyfied comments to really learn anything here.

As usual with Playrix games, I had no problem installing or playing the game. I've always had a love hate relationship with bubble bursting games - since I've been coming here, there have been several I've downloaded, but none I really enjoyed the way I'd hoped. This one works for me.

I enjoy the game play, the mood and polished atmosphere, and all three modes of the game. I've discovered that I'm piling up quite a collection of games now, so I'll be getting rid of both Aqua Bubble games - which I kept merely because I am occasionally in the mood for a bubble bursting game, and they were the best I had found so far. I like this game much, much better, and I'm much more likely to play it on a regular basis than I was those two.

The only thing I didn't like was the music - which is actually unusual for Playrix games. It's annoyingly generic, but that's not a deal killer or anything - I can always lower the music volume and play my own, which I often do in any event. The Dragons are not as annoying to me as to some, I just concentrate on the action. They're easier to ignore than that little Aqua Bubble guy, although I did occasionally get a giggle when he whipped out the jump rope.

Thanks Playrix for yet another keeper. Your participation in this project has payed off in my case, as I have passed your name on to several of my friends already.

Re: Whiterabbit's comment - I'm very sorry to hear that your reviews are becoming a chore, because I am in your fan base as well. However, I agree with several who've pointed out that they'd still pay attention to your reviews if they were less detailed. To be honest, I seldom check out the screenshots, and occasionally skip to the conclusions, if I am in a hurry. ::;sheepish grin:::

However, I totally understand time constraints, and it's obvious you've got a lot to deal with aside from our games, so if you have to go, you have to go. Just know you'll be sorely missed. I am glad to hear you'd keep up the forum posts in any event...those are greatly appreciated as well.

#42 - yes that is the same game in a different name. However, It also has the missing DLL and it claims to be Vista compatible!

It also opens your browser to their site every time you close the game. That's Adware!

It's a Bubble Bobble game. Nothing wrong with that when you like (or have people in your home that might like it) this kind of game.

Better than Aqua Bubble (or whatever it was called; I removed it from my machine) I installed earlier from a previous GGOTD offer.

Graphics look good, sound options available, progress saving, mouse controlled.
3 different game modes. Gameplay is solid. The beginning of a game could be conceived as tedious, but that's just an indication you've played too much games. ;-)

It's definitely targeted at youngsters. Later on, during the progress of the game, I'll bet the elders can kick in. :-)

Get this one if you (or people near you) are into this kind of game.

Thank you GGOTD & Playrix Entertainment! Thumbs up.

Thanks for another free game. The download and setup took less than 3 minutes to complete on my Windows XP. I used 'options' to lower the annoying music and sound; finally, played my own music instead. The 'tips' were helpful, the game play was fun and all three playing options were fun in their own way. Great that you can change the ball by clicking the right-mouse (like the Zuma/Inca Ball Games), the screen size is very easy to view and the colors are not too bright. Yes, this game would be good for kids, but I have enjoyed playing this game, too. Thanks.

I concur with the suggestion that you cut the length of your expositions drastically. However, we need your input into what is or isn't a good game. I too search for your reviews before downloading. I literally type F and enter "whiterabbit" so I can see your review first. :) I would miss your reviews very much but I understand that the time you put into them may be taking time away from something more enjoyable. I also read and appreciate your posts on the forum about other games. Please continue to post links in the daily listings to your forum posts. I am time limited. I want to read your posts but, cannot skim through all the postings there to find yours.

Thanks for all you have done for the GGOTD community. :)

#6 You don't have to place the cursor up near the bubbles. You can keep it down by the shooter if you want more of an aiming challange. It was interesting to discover that you can bounce your projectiles off the side walls.

Heck Dude! If you don't have time for everything, just skip all the screenshots, full descriptions of every level and powerup, what every little click on the gameboard does, and let us figure out how to play more than one level ourselves.

Just give us the tips on installation, your opinion on whether it plays well and is worth putting on our computers or not.

:( Don't abandon us, especially the newbies who often don't understand about the different download formats or the forums :(

Love it - love it - love it! I like something like this as a break from my mahjong type but where I can play it on puzzle mode where strategy is involved and not just shooting. Just for reference ... I'm a 51 year old Nana with the beginnings of altzheimer's so puzzle/mind games are what appeals to me most.

Oh and for this Game developer .... Please offer the "Around the World in 80 Days" some time also!!!! It is really super! I played it on a trial through realarcade (hate them BTW - keep losing the games I paid for). Graphics on it are stupendeous!!!!

First , someone said its an arkenoid game! sorry its NOT, its a bust the bubble game.
I played the first 10 levels in arcade mode. Its easy enough for an old guy like me. The younger people will hate it as its quite easy.
Have small kids? They will love it as its easy enough for them.
Installed fine, played fine.

This game works fine on my Vista Ultimate machine. However, I got an error on closing the game (not during the running. There is a file missing (d3drm.dll). It's Vista's doing.

Check my thread in the forums: http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/forums/topic/2744?replies=1

It has the link to where you can get the missing file.

For all the comments about "it's free" or I don't like.

I'm wondering if maybe the companies that produce these games and give them away for free are honestly looking for both positive and negative feedback to better their future games or create patches to better the current game.

It is free, but there are just games that I wouldn't get even because they are free. The coders need to know that. If the graphics are bad or it doesn't load properly on all the operating systems that it says it should, the coders need to know.

I do love the match three point and shoots. Personally I didn't download the game. I read the graphics are low and the file size is a little high for a game that all of my family will play. After reading I thought that if I had to reformat my drive I wouldn't be lost if I never had this game again. I have many that are on disc in order to satisfy my desire. Had this game offered more than what I can get with Snood, then I would have downloaded.

Oh shut up? Then you turn around and say 'anyone can say whatever they want ... So the point is all comments are acceptable'? Apparently that only applies when someone isn't disagreeing with you. Having to wade through this kind of silliness to find useful reviews gets old real fast.

I very sad to read this. I usually skim over the kids' reviews (see the one I just commented on) and go right to yours which, more than any other, are more often than not the deciding factor in whether or not I download a game ... if you decide to hang it up, I wish you all the best and it's been a pleasure reading your postings.

The concept of "its free. Why complain about something you didn’t pay for?" is so lame to think. This crap has been said by many. Now that GAOTD is one of the most visited website and has been promoted widely, its their job to provide more competent products and yes, am not complaining about the products they offer but they should maintain their popularity otherwise it would reduce by time.
So the point is all comments are acceptable
