In a quiet backwoods there lives a young wolf family with six cubs. They spend a lot of time together, that's why, sometimes, young parents want to take a break from the children's bustle. And so it happened one day, when Wolf's wife asked him to put the cubs to sleep, while she could spare some time just for herself. But Wolf fell asleep together with children and when he woke up his wife and children disappeared. Wolf smelled a rat and went on their trail.

Got this here before. If you like this type of logic puzzle, which I do quite a bit, this is certainly worth it, with multi-color blocks to make the puzzle a bit easier, but also requiring greater care to make sure you remember to change the marking color when you mark a block, or it's an automatic error. They allow you 2 errors per puzzle, though I always try for a perfect score. This a similar type of puzzle to the famous code cracking game, Mastermind, though in that you frequently wanted to guess near the end, as you would run out of clues sometimes if you didn't. Often, if you could get it down to 50/50 and you were down to your last row of clues, you'd guess. I have seen this in some nonogram puzzles, where the clues to the occasionly block weren't definitive, but all the ones I've played so far in this game have the necessary clues so you don't have to guess. The one perhaps misstep here, if I remember correctly, is that you can't mark empty blocks with right clicks, you have to rotate colors or select empty with left clicks, which requires quite a bit of concentration to make sure you're on the right color or on empty on your left clicks. In any case, the larger puzzles require a significant amount of concentration, and that might be a fly in the ointment for some. The tougher puzzles may be a bit too much like work for some folks. It's not a casual game after awhile, and that will turn off certain players. Certainly not a game after the early stages that you can play if you're a bit tired, for example. Basically, Nonoglrams polish your ability to use the process of elimination. You need to determine, step-by-step, which blocks must be a certain color, and which can't possibly be that color, or often any color, in other words, empty. Btw, despite the title and graphics, there's no story to it, that I've found anyway, just the puzzles.

If you have any interest in these challenges, a worthy download from GGOTD.

I purchased Nonograms: Wolf's Stories a long while ago. I like this type of game, and this one is my favorite. The color changes and the (yes) older graphics - less sparkle and shine - of the game. I wish they'd make more just like this one. I'd gladly buy them.
