I like this type of game and haven't seen one on here in a while, so thank you GGOTD team for getting this game for us. Thank you, whiterabbit, for all your hard work. I played about 6 levels before coming here to comment, and so far, so good. I've not encountered any problems and I think this will be challenging, which I like. I just need to remember to change colors, which is a fun twist. It also looks like a game that can be used to teach children how to play nonograms and give them some basic directions in logic puzzles. I like the colorful backgrounds. I can't comment on the music since I play everything with sound off. Thanks again!

I love nonograms and i've played a lot of them but this is too confusing. I tried and tried.
Sometimes theres a space between ones of the same colour and sometimes there's not - really??? that is plain silly.
Nonograms can be hard enough but they have consistent rules.
I liked the colours as some variety. The music was fine. The numbers are easy to read.
The numbers at the side when used are crossed out, but if you hover over them to check that line, they are not. So are they usable or not? Again confusing.

the game did have great possibilities but i'm giving it a miss.

Just commenting more to say thank you than anything. Logic games are my abosolute favorite so I was excited to see this here today. Downloaded and installed fine on Win10Home x 64. Sound, music, graphics all seem fine for this type of game. I am preoccupied with other matters and no head to play today but I did try 2 levels without issue. Game seems well done and fairly challenging which is good. I see from the other comments that some have had problems but I have not gotten to that point so cannot comment beyond what I have. Sorry.

Strangely, I get past the first 2 levels easily, but on level 3 the moment I enter 3 yellow squares I get kicked out for making too many mistakes. You'll have to trust me when I say it's impossible to make a mistake when there are only 3 spaces available in a row and they ALL must be selected to satisfy the clues. But I fail every time I select them. Did I do something wrong? Do I need to reinstall? Did I not understand the rules correctly?

Like the others, I think the addition of colors makes a great addition to the game. BUT NOTE: there is an important mistake in the directions in the game. It says that if there are consecutive numbers of the same color, there must be at least one blank square between them -- this is true. But then it says if there are consecutive numbers in different colors then there WON'T be a blank space between -- this is WRONG. There may OR may not be one or more blank squares between them. So keep that in mind.

Thanks to this website--thank you team!!--I discovered nonogram games and loooove them and this game is a great addition to my supply. I don't have time today to play too long since I have to leave for work, but so far the game is fun and I like that the outcome is a recognizable picture. I'm sure this will get harder as I go along, but so far I can handle it, lol. The different colors are a nice twist.

This is an interesting game with COLOURED nonogramms. Unfortunately, it is not fully compatible with my Windows XP or with my hardware. I could not play it properly.

In Brief

Nonograms, also knows as Picross or gridders are logic puzzles where cells in a grid are either colored or left blank according to numbers at the side of the grid. The completed Nonogram reveals a hidden picture.

Installation:

Nonograms: Wolf's Stories downloads to a 46.9MB zip file that unzips to three files, (a setup.gcd security wrapper the set-up file and a read me). The game installs to the following path by default, but can be changed if you wish. The installed game is approximately 56.7 MB in size.

Four shortcuts are installed to the desktop; the shortcut to the game, plus three others ''Play Online Games, MyPlayCity Games and a shortcut to a free online game. These latter three shortcuts can be deleted once the game has been installed. The Themida wrapper may alert your security and even block the installation; there are details about this issue in the read me that unpacks from the downloaded zip file.

The Game:

In a quiet backwoods there lives a young wolf family with six cubs. They spend a lot of time together, that's why, sometimes, young parents want to take a break from the children's bustle. And so it happened one day, when Wolf's wife asked him to put the cubs to sleep, while she could spare some time just for herself. But Wolf fell asleep together with children and when he woke up his wife and children disappeared. Wolf smelled a rat and went on their trail.

Nonograms: Wolf's Stories is a captivating logic game with simple rules and challenging solutions. Each level is made up of a grid of squares that must be either filled in or locked. Beside each row, the lengths of the runs of filled-in squares on that row are listed. Above each column, the lengths of the runs of filled-in squares in that column are listed. Your goal is to find the squares that must be filled in. Help is available in the form of a hint button that identifies a filled-in square. But you must click carefully because you're allowed only a few mistakes before you have to start over! Wrapped in a heartwarming story of a father wolf searching for his cubs, Nonograms: Wolf's Stories offers hours of satisfying puzzle-solving fun!

If you're having problems installing or activating or getting Nonograms: Wolf's Stories to work please visit the FAQ's Thread HERE and read through the communities comments because sometimes fixes have already been posted, for example, a common issue seen since the Themida wrapper was introduced three years ago is that some community members installation of the game are blocked by their security because Themida code has been known to hide malware, (usually an error message is flagged for example 'The executable is corrupted' even though in reality it is not); so as a precaution some anti malware programs will block and even delete the suspect installation files even though the files (i.e. the setup, read me and setup.gcd files are actually totally free from malware. This issue can be solved either by rebooting your computer in safe mode with networking or a quicker method is to temporarily turn off your security software to allow the installation. You could also try white-listing the setup.gcd file. In the almost 12 years this game giveaway site has been operating there has 'never' been a game given away that was infected with malware.
