These Detective Solitaire games are too addictive for me:

Starting with Inspector Magic offered here some time ago, I really need to set a time limit per day. 10 min per day is allowed now.

It downloaded very quick and opened easily. Play was smooth and graphics are good.
Unfortunately do not have time to really play tonight, but what played was good. It seemed
easy, but again didn't play long, so can't be sure.

Relaxing and enjoyable game. Graphics are decent. Runs fine under Windows 10 and allows me to run the game in windowed mode (many don't), rather than full screen. I need windowed mode to switch quickly and easily to other screens.

Won't run on my Surface Pro 4. Only about half the GGotD games will. And this is in the half that doesn't. I always get engine.exe errors and the games crash as they are loading. Does anyone else have this problem?

I agree with many of the comments made so far. If you like solitaire games, then this is a keeper. Nice music and graphics and it is hard to step away. It opened in full screen mode for me, and even if it didn't, there is a setting in the options to choose full screen. Thanks MPC and GGOTD.

Installed fine. But won't come up in full screen, as about half these games do. Can't play these games in little tiny boxes on my monitor. So, unfortunately, I'm uninstalling. Why does this keep happening?????

Excellent timing! I'd finished Inspector Magic, and almost finished the follow-up, Inspector Magic and the Forbidden Magic. And here you are with another incarnation of the same again - well done!

It's a simple enough game to learn to play, but it rewards your time and effort in getting to know the strategies which will bring the surest results. If one particular round is tricky to solve the first time, you can have another go, several more goes if you want or need them to move on in the game. With a little patience (pun intended, sorry!) you'll find that you can win some rounds at the first attempt, whereas others will make you go back and think again. But there's no punishment for repeated efforts, so you can take as long as you want.

Repeating one section will not give you exactly the same problem as the previous time, which makes the whole game repeatable as often as you want. Music is atmospheric and bearable, the artwork is very good, and to be honest I have become quite hooked on these games . . . which I would never have believed would happen!

If you haven't tried these before, I'd recommend having a go with this one. The only trouble is - you may find your tea breaks for playing games are extending to more and more of your "working day" . . . !

My Other Half and I don't usually play the same kind of computer games, but I've got him into these Mystery Solitaires too. They really are unexpectedly addictive. So - thank you again to GGAOTD, to MyPlayCity, and of course to Whiterabbit for his reviews, which are always worth reading.

I enjoyed playing this game. The graphics are good and the tutorial is easy to understand and get through. My only complaint is that it's hard to quit playing!

I have Norton antivirus and it blocks GGotD on a regular basis. I just have to go into Norton and exclude this program and then redo the download, although sometimes I just have to re-open the original download. After a few downloads of games, Norton will block it again and I have to go into Norton again and exclude the program. It's annoying, but well worth the effort to get the games that this site offers.

You had me at "Lovecraft" and "Solitaire". Graphics are awesome and soundtrack is good. It's a keeper for a time wasting, rainy/snowy day.

This is a very good card game with a very good tutorial. Downloaded and installed on windows10. I liked the background music and the game play. Thank you MSC for offering the game today.

After downloading the game again, it installed ok.
The game is very similar to other solitaire games out of this series.
You get one higher or lower than the one on the stock and collect all of the special cards.

The game is boring in a way but also addictive, so I will keep this one.

I got Detective Solitaire: Inspector Magic (on December 9, 2017? how time flies when you're having fun!), and have been enjoying it ever since. Been too busy playing it to leave a comment. With both of these games, I like the fact that they're not timed, the two modes, "newbie" where you can replay levels and don't have to get a perfect score on each game to qualify to the next set of 10 games, and... that other one... where you can't replay games. Can't really comment on that other mode, as I haven't tried it. (Maybe that one is timed?)

Each game has a different layout, and a different number of cards in the deck. There are varying numbers of gold cards, and the game is over once you either collect all the gold cards, or run out of cards to play from the deck. Graphics are lush, gorgeous, with a somewhat sinister ambiance, and a different background for each set of 10 games. You have 3 card styles to choose from, and about 6-8 different card back designs.

And yes, they are different from the December game, and from today's. The same general design, the same developer, but different layouts and backgrounds and card styles. I've got a lot of games from Toomky, and haven't had any problems with them, either with the games themselves, or with my computer. Running Win 7 Pro SP1.

Can't install the game, Windows gives an error message :' setup has stopped working' . The activation of GGOTD goes well.

Virus program is temporarily turned off like always.
