I'll add some in game images if the present repeat (Mysterious Blocks I)is replaced with the second game later today. I've got other stuff (household chores and βeta testing) to do now, but will check back later this afternoon and update this partial review with images and any extra information that I can glean from playing the game. ;)

I've watched a couple of the videos and based my very short unfinished review on those. I prefer to actually play the game; but, as it's not available at this time and I don't intend buying it via Steam, I thought it was the best alternative at this time. It's basically just more similar levels added to what was available in the first Mysterious Blocks game.
Mysterious Blocks 2:
In Brief:
A 3D physics based game

You can see a few videos of game play HERE, HERE & via the Steam store page HERE.

The game was released on Steam on the 17th June 2021 HERE; unfortunately there are no community reviews available yet.

The Game:
Mysterious Blocks 2 is the sequel to the first in the series that was given away on the 24th June 21. It's a simple physics game where you have to lower the blue blocks onto the table by destroying the grey blocks (simply by clicking on them with your LMB. You mustn't allow the orange/yellow blocks to the pedestal, otherwise its game over. The levels get progressively more complex and harder. The first several levels are very easy to complete.
Other Free Games:
The latest free game from Epic is The Spectrum Retreat - a challenging, first-person puzzle game set in the near future. You awake at The Penrose hotel, a peaceful yet unsettling refuge from the outside world. As a valued guest, your existence is embedded into the corridors and guest rooms of The Penrose and will be availbe to add to your Epic account until Thursday 8th July at 4pm UK time/11am EST.
Two more games will then be given away called Bridge Constructor: The Walking Dead (looks great) which combines the legendary and challenging puzzle gameplay of Bridge Constructor™ with the post-apocalyptic zombie universe of AMC’s The Walking Dead and Ironcast that was Inspired by Victorian-era science fiction writers such as H.G. Wells and Jules Verne, Ironcast is set in an exciting alternative history; a time when refined men and women in top hats and bonnets commanded gigantic walking war machines, laying waste to the enemies of the British Empire! Take control of a 7 meter tall walking vehicle called an Ironcast and face off against an invading force of enemy Ironcast in order to defend 1880's Victorian England. The game is one of my favorite versions of a match three game where creating matches gives you chances to beat your AI opponent. I already have this game on Steam and love it. It has mainly positive reviews. These will be available to add to your EPIC games library from Thursday the 8th July to Thursday 15th July at 4pm UK time/11am EST when a new set of games will be available to add to your account. Since Epic Games started to give away games I've accumulated over 270 games not counting duplicates, most of which are either AAA or high end indie arcade games.

Also from Epic, If you play online with friends there are several free online games for example there 's a decent PvE/PvP FPS game called Scavengers with a coop mode (I checked it out recently and it looks fantastic as well as plays well) and you can still get the clicker RPG Idle Champions. I've posted some details about Idle Champions over in the forums HERE, where you'll also find links to a Reddit page where you can pick up codes to redeem chests for free that give you various buffs and other items to add to your account that boost your heroes abilities and health as well as affect your group of heroes in game, for example potions that boost health or DPS, contracts that can improve armour or weapons already used by the heroes or other contracts that add specific amounts of gold to your bank as well as items of jewellery, armour or weapons that buff your characters stats. I've stopped playing the game simply because it was too addicting.

Please see Delenn's threads for Steam and Non Steam freebies HERE and HERE respectively. Delenn has been updating these regularly for years now. It’s worth adding these links to your favourites and checking regularly for available freebies. Most are only free for a specific time. If you miss the deadline you’ll miss out. Once added to your account, it’s yours to keep. Delenn has recently posted details of more Steam games that are temporarily free. One may be until it leaves early access??? - i.e. Tower Ball - Incremental Tower Défense plus a reflex game called Keyboard Killers are still free. Delenn posted details of a free origin came called Battlefield 4 which is available for free if you have an Amazon Prime account (If you like FPS games, it's a brilliant game to own. (not sure if it's still live).

You'll find hundreds of freeware games of all arcade and indie genres on Itch.io and Caimans Games as well as other sources. Please do check out the game discussion forums for older posts HERE (the sticky section is useful). Many of the earlier posts may be out of date with respect to the links I and others have provided to the free games; however, you only need to know the name of the game to find most of them via other sources. Many of those games from 2008 to around 2017 were posted as part of a project to supplement the lack of weekday games when the game giveaway went to weekend only games around Easter 2008 (mainly instigated due to the financial crisis of 2008) until November 2018 when Falcoware stepped into the weekday slot; however, from around 2015 onwards we did start to get the occasional Steam key for various games offered as limited giveaways, with a restriction on the number of keys available (anywhere from 25 to 2000+). These included over 60 decent AAA games and indie arcade games ; for example some of the better AAA games included , lucky Warhammer: Vermintide 1 & 2 plus DLC for version 2; Dreadlands, Mount & Blade: Warband, Immortal Unchained and Conan Exiles.

The Indie Gala developers freebies are available HERE (latest additions) and HERE (81 games in the Showcase, most full versions). Recent additions include In Between Land Sonya: The Great Adventure, The Last Dream: Developer's Edition, Deep Despair Cube Runner, Agatha Christie - The ABC Murders, Whispering Willows Snow White Solitaire. Charmed Kingdom, Adam Wolfe (Complete Edition), Doodle Devil, Deep Space Anomaly and the latest addition Kick Ass Commandos; plus, many more in the showcase section HERE and the Freebies section HERE.

It’s worth adding most of the links to your favourites and checking regularly for available freebies. Most are only free for a specific time. If you miss the deadline you’ll miss out. Once added to your account, they are yours to keep. :)

Whiterabbit-uk,

I installed the download from the link that says it's Mysterious Blocks 2, but the game installs as Mysterious Blocks and overwrites the original installation that was installed 12 days ago.

On starting the game it started where I'd left off when I last played it, which means the save files weren't over written. I've checked both the 'My Games' in the documents folder and the 'App Data' folders (hidden folder) where saves are usually located, but couldn't find anything related to Mysterious Blocks, so saves were either kept within the games folder or the registry.?

Basically this giveaway is not Mysterious Blocks 2 but the one given away on the 21st June 21. You can see my review of the original Mysterious Blocks HERE . Hopefully the mistake will be corrected once one of the administrators realises the error.

Whiterabbit-uk, MB1 ia a terrible game, the installed version has that useless file in it, deleted it and still takes almost 1gb of space by itself, so not worth the trouble...i assume MB2 could be somewhat smaller ... too big to keep :))) it is also very slow on my computer ...for those who like it as is, the menu should be improved to allow clicking anywhere to continue, i don't thinbk is so important to click on the dialogue unless there are multiple answers to pick from

Trojan:Win32/Wacatac.B!ml was detected by Windows 10 antivirus in setup.exe file. Probably false positive, but...

Sergio,

Hi Sergio, I totally forgot to check to see if they had replaced the file this morning; been busy all day. I usually do a virus scan on the installed game and sometimes we get one to four hits from usually over 60 antimalware suites. Falcoware gams would not include malware in their games; it would give them a bad reputation that could lose them a lot of custom.

Just redownloaded it and it's still the first one given away a few weeks ago.

Thank you Whiterabbit-uk.
I redownloaded now and no more virus detected.
Still version #1.
No problem for me because I didn't have it.

It`s not Mysterious Blocks 2, it`s number 1

gogomobil,

Hi Gogomobile
(reminds me of the GoGo dancers from the sixties and the phrase ''Freak Out a GoGo'' I sometimes say the phrase to my kids and they give me one of those 'has he gone crazy' looks while rolling their eyes, lol)
Yes, I think it's been placed inadvertently/mistakenly. Hopefully the admins will add the actual Mysterious Blocks 2 sometime soon. Check back later. I will be checking later this afternoon; then will update the review, assuming they have replaced one with v2.

If you see any images in my incomplete review above, it means the game has been replaced. I won't be back for four or five hours though as I'm rather busy.

Whiterabbit-uk, perhaps you need to explain that expression to them and to us :))) as for the current game still pondering if is worth downloading considering is 200mb for few blocks...is its selling point the many stages?

Reply   |   Comment by huh  –  2 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+3)

huh,

Hi Huh, in the 1960's a lot of disco's had Go Go dancers that would 'freak out' when dancing.

Reply   |   Comment by Whiterabbit-uk  –  2 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+6)

Whiterabbit-uk, i hear the go go dancers still exist today but the freak part is not related to them, so who freaked them out? themselves or the audience, and how did that work?:))))what i found is they dance live near a dj according to the mob or the dj mood so they can't tell what they'll dance about upfront but have to know a lot of dancing styles in order to adjust accordingly or as close as possible to what they are up against...as for freaking out no idea, its a job and is getting them tired, do they still have time to freak out or be freaked out? if yes, by who or by what, and when and how :)))
as for the game i remembered the menu was badly translated and seemed to give the wrong instructions at times, such in tutorial itshould say do not click to lower the orange box but seems to mean otherwise...well it was a funny result, and you are free to try the other way, good thing there weren't more than 2 options

huh,

'Freak Out' is a form of free style dancing, which would have been appropriate if the Go Go dancers didn't know what music was going to be played. Free forming would have allowed them to dance however the music/they felt.

Basically a non stylized free form way of dancing that would have had elements of many different styles.
