A famous scientist virologist is the protagonist. She is invited to take part in an expedition to the island, where many years ago the outbreak of an unknown virus disease wiped out its population.
A tribe used to live in the island, they believed in existence of an evil spirit turning people into bloodthirsty zombies. The spirit had been confined into a totem which was hidden in a secret temple to keep it under control and never let free. And so it was for many centuries until the island became a resort.
Once, a tourist lost his way in the forbidden lands and came across a road to the temple. He found the totem and casually broke it. The spirit was released and the deadly virus spread all over the island. But even being broken the totem possesses power to constrain the virus spreading outside the island. The totem's parts were hidden by tribal successors, and being found these parts could get survivors saved and zombies exterminated.
The expedition arrived to the destination point on "Perseus" - a huge floating platform. The team has to save the island and prevent the virus from further spreading.

Thank you for the answers.
The one with the solution for compatibility mode worked perfectly for me, problem solved.

Had this one before!

Set it to Windows Vista, the last service pack. Change high dpi settings to by application. Works for me.

Try setting the compatibility to Windows XP SP3 and video settings by application rather than by Windows. (I always set compatibility as the games here seem to be mostly for older operating systems.)

Try running this game using the second executable exe file.

Seems like a nice game, but can't play. After trying to start the game a square outline appears and it immediately closes again. (Windows 10)

irene, Did you notice the Requirements listed near the top right of this page? Only XP is on the list and that for 64-bit. However, I installed yesterday's game on my Win 10 computer even though it only claimed to be compatible up to Windows 8, and it works fine.

irene, Sounds like you need to run the game in a compatibility mode: here's how.
1. Right-click the game's desktop icon and select Properties.
2. In the Properties window, select the Compatibility tab.
3. In the Compatibility tab, select Run this program in compatibility mode for, and select Windows XP (Service Pack 3) from the list below the checkbox..
4. Click Apply, then click OK.
5. Run the program again.
If that doesn't work for you, try running the Compatibility Troubleshooter; or, repeat the process above but try a different OS from the list.
Hope that helps!

irene, You have to create a name first and it should correct itself after that. Many of these kinds of games had problem with the default profile as "Player" for some reason unless you create a new one. Just a thought. Its working on my end. Hope you can get it fixed.
