My Loved Heart is a platform runner game

Introduction:

Zombie platformer, jump on platforms and collect your favorite hearts to move on. Do not step on the spikes, they will kill the zombies. Zombies can bounce off walls when jumping, use this feature to jump to the right place. Over 30 levels of fun game with fun zombie music and great game play. Click the mouse, the zombie will jump. Jump and do not fall on the spikes. There are some platforms that are coated in a purple substance that appears to be dripping. Once you've jumped onto one of these they disintegrate. . Collect all hearts and achivki (this word means glasses in Bulgarian but i think refers to the hearts ecased in a yellow substance that's probably representing ice). Pixel graphic style, hardcore and unforgettable music is all you need for a pleasant evening.

The Game:

The intro tells you most of what you need to know about this game. It's a fast moving platform runner where your zombie character is constantly moving and you have to avoid running into or falling on the spikes by jumping on to 'usually' well placed platforms using the left mouse button by timing your jumps almost perfectly i.e. there's little leeway; so make sure you jump at the right time, otherwise you will have to start the level again. To enter the next level you have to collect all of the items (hearts) in the level. Once this has been accomplished a portal will open for you to be transported to the next level. Beware level 8 as there is a badly placed platform that will see your zombie character stuck (see the last image). I found it relatively easy to navigate through the first seven levels once I'd got used to using the mouse to jump. One level 8 I tried several times to pass a particular point after opening the portal, but each time my zombie got stuck between two platforms, so I had to close the game down, select continue and start the level again. This was very frustrating as it took more than several attempts as I wasn't successful opening the portal on every attempt, so those several successful attempts were more like 20 attempts as I was unsuccessful more than successful.

The game has a limited main menu with a start, continue and language button but no no options menu, no instructions and no level map. The Steam page images indicate that you have at least 30+ levels to beat, and comments from the community indicate that you can complete the whole game in around 30 minutes. There are two language choices, Russian (русский) and English (английский).

You can see mixed Steam community reviews of My Loved Heart HERE. Apparently its a copy of another Steam game called Panda Love, which I checked and agree that today's game is a copy. Exactly the same game play except we have a zombie instead of a panda plus the level set ups are different, but game play is exactly the same. Conclusion:

The game looks pleasant enough and has some game play merit however apart from there being little variation in the level design apart from placement of platforms and background colours, every level was similar. I got stuck on level 8 several times when the zombie gets stuck between two platforms and is unmovable (see last image) so you have to close the game down via the button in the top right of the game window. My Loved Heart also looks like a rip-off of the game called Panda Love, with exactly the same game play mechanic, all that's changed is the backgrounds and the character. Despite this I did enjoy playing the levels until getting stuck, so would recommend this to any platform and runner game lovers.

The latest freebies via Epic are now live, they are Alan Wake: American Nightmare a Third person horror shooter and >observer_. These will be available for free until Thursday 24th October, when they will change over to Layers of Fear a first-person psychedelic horror game with a heavy focus on story and exploration and Q.U.B.E. 2 an atmospheric first person action adventure puzzle game. Combined worth of both games is almost £35/$45/€45
