Whiterabbit-uk,
Enjoy your break. Whether you are doing something fun or just taking some down time to relax.
I appreciate the holiday wish, thank you. My Thanksgiving was spent at home alone as I am on the mend from being ill. The good thing about that is that I was able to watch a couple of movies I've been wanting to see and also caught up on some of the games I've not had a chance to play much before. Even got in some "Claws & Feathers 3" as that is always fun!
I won't be downloading this, not much into TM, but did want to say thank you to all involved in the offering.

Whiterabbit-uk, enjoy your time away, you deserve it. As much as I appreciate you reviews and comments, it's good to see you putting yourself first!
We had a nice Thanksgiving, thanks! Smoked turkey and all the fixin's, granddaughter made pumpkin pie in a bag. Different but quite good. Thanks as always to you and GGOTD team, and to Big Fish games for today's offering. I expect I will like it.

[star ratings on scale of 1-5:]
fun 5
visual/sound 5
challenge 5
storyline 5
overall 5
how cool that i _just_ played this last month! i had downloaded it when it was given away on october 14, 2017.
i loved Monument Builders: Notre Dame de Paris. it's a standard time management game where you are helping build notre dame cathedral. it was kind of poignant, considering that the real notre dame burned this spring.
fun, if you like time management games (i'm still surprised that i do — it's thanks to GGOTD that i learned this by trying out Royal Envoy). not too stressful.
visuals are great. the style is cartoony. the artwork is clear. the interface is clear and well-designed. after a few levels, it was easy to keep track of resources and goals.
i would have liked different sounds to indicate completion of different tasks. sometimes it was hard to find which task had been completed because all of them sound the same.
i also would have liked a progress bar over each task to monitor progress more easily. not a big deal though.
the challenge for me was just right. i got at least silver on all levels without stressing. some levels require a strategy to complete, or you get stuck in a dead end. that happened infrequently enough that it was a challenge i happily took on.
the storyline is solid. you are working to build the cathedral. with every level, you learn a little about the history and construction of the cathedral, and you take on a task working toward the completion of construction. you encounter pitfalls along the way, like thieves, who cause detours in your progress. all of your resources are dedicated to building the cathedral. i imagine that's what it was really like in 12th- and 13th-century france.
the one thing i didn't like was Microids' screeching-tires logo at the beginning (triggering for me living in a violent place). i always tried to hit Esc to interrupt it before the screeching.
i enjoyed the game a lot. this is the first i've played in the series, and i look forward to playing others. i have a few from giveaways here and a Bundle Stars bundle. i'll probably revisit this one to get gold on more levels.
I recommend this game. thanks so much for offering it!

tinyearl,
Thank you for your excellent feedback. I needed a break from posting reviews this week. So to see a decent comment is always very much appreciated.

Really boring with tiny figures that look very similar. The different work areas are also very similar and lacking enough unique details to make them interesting. Just a bunch of clicking on camels? donkeys? carrying stuff.
Thanks for the giveaway. Now back to Rescue Team given away earlier.
